We were looking for a breakfast place that had a patio as we were traveling through town with our dogs and found this place. The food was great! Other reviews complained of the service was slow. We had great service. All three kids and both adults enjoyed breakfast and next time we are in town we will be back.

Food was delicious, service was friendly and facility does have that historical feel to it. It was worth the visit.

Sunrise bistro There’s and old saying about«fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.» We’ve eaten here many times. Maybe too many… It might be time for a break… Today’s brunch was a major and costly disappointment. We arrive, the room is busy, with many(and I mean many) staff hanging around the front entrance. Two thirds of the tables have people and the other third are empty. Many tables still needed to be bused. There are people waiting for tables. We add our name to the list. Fairly quickly we’re seated. It takes a bit for our server to arrive but when she does we order coffees and milk. The coffee arrives, 15 minutes later we ask again about the milk. We finally order, nothing special. Another 15 minutes go by and one of the orders arrives at the table. We wait, and we wait. Finally we tell the person who has been served to eat. We have to call another waitress over for syrup. More time goes by, still two of us have not received our food. The other person, is now finished eating and we’re still waiting. We call the waitress over and express our displeasure. We arrived together, we ordered together, we expected we’d eat together. She apologizes and makes excuses. More time goes by. Finally our food comes. One of the orders is complete, the other order arrives with just eggs and meat ~ they’re cold… The potatoes come several minutes later and the biscuit arrives after everything else is eaten. Next arrives the bill for $ 40 and change. We’ve spent hundreds here and have over looked pitiful service and poorly prepared food. It’s hard to believe that we were charged $ 40+ and actually paid it. We won’t be back anytime soon.

Service is very, very slow here. Breakfast is just ok. Gravy is terrible. Love their bobo potatoes, but everything else is just meh. Go to the Diner for breakfast, way better service and great food.

This was definitely one of our favorite meals. The server was friendly and helpful. Really glad we ordered the French Toast for an additional side-it was deep fried and tasted amazing with the syrup. The omelettes were certainly impressive and our potatoes were fried but not greasy.

Definitely coming back! The bottomless(actually limit 6) mimosas for $ 12 could’ve had more champagne and less OJ(I just prefer mine with little OJ but can’t fault them). The good was great! You can build your own omelette sand breakfast plates! Next time I’ll just order a mimosas first and then glasses of champagne to add to the mimosa to until it’s made right. I mean if your gonna limited bottomless to 6 you should make them with mainly champagne and not mainly OJ. The mimosas are what is keeping this place from 5 stars.

Love this place for the homemade pancakes but not anymore. I ordered my usual pancakes and they were the worst I have ever had. Not only did the batter remind me of a thick bisquick batch but I had one of them pecan and the pecans were not good in them. The worst part was when I had to get up to find a refill of my coffee(waitress was not available). Really sad to see this change.

Best omelette I have had in a while; I’m so use to ending up with partially filled omelettes and tearing off the access egg but this one was filled through-out! Crab, shrimp, tomatoes, onions, jalapeños were cooked to perfection and the bechamel sauce was an awesome surprise! Sierra our waitress was fun and humored my wife when she inquired about the breakfast special for 5.99 $ that was no longer available, as they were updating their menus. We will definitely be back!

Rented their party room for family reunion, 40 guests, avg age 50. Mostly a great experience but 2 small complaints(re: bar stock and early food pickup) that I shared with Robert, the owner. Big mistake!!! He wrote back scathing email pretty much attempting to blame and embarrass me and my family saying we urinated all over his room! That is his form of Customer Service: Blame the customer. Disgusting. This Northshore/New Orleans family will not be returning. Beware folks.

I used to like this place but this will be our last visit. I’ve attached a pic of the French toast which was a version that I have never seen before. I was served a piece of French bread soaked in oil. They charged $ 9.50 for 2 eggs, 2 bacon and a piece of French breast soaked in oil. No egg wash, milk or anything on the French toast since the other side of the bread was completely dry. So anyway, when the server finally checked on us, we were already done eating and I showed her the French toast. All she said was, I will let them know. No offer to bring me something else or to adjust my bill. At that point, it should have just been a two egg and 2 bacon meal since the bread was completely uneaten. First time in my dining life that I only left a $ 2 tip on a $ 22 bill. Really bad service and awful food, would have given this restaurant 0 star if it’s an option.

I don’t know what their other location was like, but this one screams green indoor/outdoor carpet the moment you walk through the door, awful. I had hoped our food would be good after reading some reviews, but sad to say this was the worst food we’ve had in Slidell. Our waitress just seemed confused, maybe she was new ? Cannot recommend this place.

Use to love this place when they were in their old building. I went yesterday and wait one hour at the table and still did not get my food. Talked a woman who I think was the owner, and she can to the table with two biscuits and stated the at least she brought me two biscuits and my food would be out soon. I wait 10 mins more then left. I WILLNEVERDINEHEREAGAIN!!!

Great place, good service, good food– ready to hit the road after a scrumptious brunch at the sunrise bistro! Note it’s called sunrise on second here but is now named sunrise bistro and they have moved to Robert st. Charming small hole in the wall place… Loves the french toast, the orange juice was soo good! We also had the California Benedict which was all gooooood. The waitress was really pleasant and nice. All in all we’re glad we made the trip here rather than just stop at one of those chains

Went to breakfast here. Ordered 3 eggs over lite. When the food arrived the hash browns and toast were cold and the eggs were made wrong. Server was nice but slow took a long time to pay my bill. I do not think I will ever eat here again.

My wife and I were, I repeat were huge fans of this place. After their move to the new location their service has just dropped off the map. We waited an hour and a half for simple breakfast entres, with no changes or special requests. Their new wait staff is also horrible. Sending bus boys to pour coffee, and allowing customers to get up and pour their own water all the while laughing, sipping their own coffee and starring at the poorly treated customers. We will not be giving them a second chance, nor will we forward any future business their direction.

The food was ok. Me my husband and our two YOUNG daughters had to wait TWO hours for our food. Ridiculous. We’ve never had to wait that long anywhere before. We even warned a few people who sat at the table next to us that we had been waiting that long and they left. The server told us that she had to keep running between dining rooms– I didn’t know there was two. I wonder if the other one was a better atmosphere because the one we were in was warm and humid. We purchased a double take deal and couldn’t use it on a Sunday– I never even want to come here again so I gave it away. The server was nice– and very apologetic for the weight.

Great place to stop in for brunch on Saturdays after shopping at the Camilla City Farmers Market, located across the street. This place is pretty small but we like charm of the dining room plus there was live music, bonus! There is also outdoor seating. The service was friendly, fast, and efficient. My coffee cup never went unattended. The food was delicious and perfectly portioned. There are trivial pursuit cards on all the tables to pass the time.

Locally owned and operated… staff remembers you each visit and are very friendly. Service is always fast and accurate. Best breakfast in Slidell. Haven’t been in since the new coffee bar was installed. But I’m sure it lives up to par.

They have the BEST burger I have ever had. And I get burgers everywhere I go. It’s angus beef on a specialty bread and explodes with flavor. I want to go get one now! :-)

We gave it a second chance and I’m glad we did. Huge improvement over the last visit. Ordered Eggs Sardou, made with their homemade Cajun Hollandaise. Delicious. Wife had the Sunrise omelette. Also a good choice, but you must like jalapeños to fully enjoy it. I agree with other reviewers. The coffee could be better. But overall a good spot for breakfast.

Ehhh. I’m definitely not feeling the love for this restaurant. I wanted, to, I honestly did. Supporting local businesses is really important to me but if if its subpar well then… no dice. I visited on three separate occasions for brunch. Service was slow at each visit. The coffee is watered down tasting. And the food. The pancakes were over cooked. The«breakfast boats» were all just ok… nothing to write home about. I mean I really think my five year old could do a better job at making breakfast. When I go out and pay for a meal I want to feel as if it were worth my money, not like, «damn, I should have gone to Waffle House.» By the way, I’m not even a fan of Waffle House.
