Amazing Beignet and fried oreos!!! Everything we had was fabulous! I would eat here again and again.

Food was delicious. Don’t expect fast service, they make stuff homemade and it’s a small place with few workers. But if you are looking for yummy home style type food and home made beignets this place is great!

What can I say. The ladies working in this place were some of the nicest ladies I’ve ever had the privilege of meeting. While it wasn’t my first time down south it my first time really being in the south and being able to enjoy some the foods and sites. Ms. Phyllis and her staff was so incredibly kind to me. I felt so welcomed. I got to eat my very first beignets(which I mistakenly ate with a fork and knife, ha ha) and Café Au Lait. I really enjoyed my experience. These incredible ladies gave me my first taste of true Southern Hospitality. I felt so comfortable during my visit. Next time I’m in Slidell I will definitely be visiting this place again! Thank you Ladies! This Marylander truly appreciated you guys!

This was the meeting place for me to retrieve my «lost/misplaced» purse I left in a girlfriend’s car after a long Friday night out. Cute quiet little café in Slidell around the mall area. Located in a strp mall so there’s lots of parking. The menu is fairly simple… croissant sandwiches, beignets, grits, and all your typical meat sides. Mostly everyone in our party opted for the grit bowl… which was grits with scrambled eggs and your choice of meat(sausage patties or bacon) that came with two mini beignets. The grits were creamy, but needed salt and butter and they were kind of stingy on the order of bacon on my friends plate. The beignets though… were hot and melt in your mouth goodness. After I stole the two from my date’s plate… I gluttonously place an order of mini beignets to-go. That I struggled to eat the remainder of the day might I add lol. Overall it was a decent dining experience, Staff was friendly and helpful and the kitchen staff personally came out to let us know when our food would be ready.

Will probably not return unless calling an hour ahead before dining so I can enjoy my food sometime in the same day, the beignets are just delightful. Ordered a very tiny cup of café au lait for 5 $ no refill, ordered mini beignets and my date had a funnel cake. Besides being only the 2nd other couple in the building we waited a whopping hour and a half for this order! Wow! No beignet is worth that wait. I know she said she makes them home made, no recipe warrants the time it took for us to get our food. I tried to walk out but my date still wanted to give them a chance. So — wonderful beignets, way too pricey, no food is good enough to wait 1.5 hours for the finished product. Not worth the money

I am so happy that I found this place! The Lemon glazed beignets are out of this world! These are the best beignets I have ever had! I have to say these are even better than the Café du Monde! I highly recommend making the trip out to Slidell!!!

I think they deserve a solid 4 stars. Our order was to go, so a little different than sitting, in the restaurant, and being served; having your coffee refilled… There was a large group that seemed to be getting very good service. We both had breakfast sandwiches, one sausage and mine was bacon. The bacon was nice and crispy. If I had eat in, I would have asked for butter, because that is the one thing it needed, butter in the bread; otherwise, it was great. It was not huge. It was two regular sized pieces of sliced bread, and cut in half, which was handy, for the car ride. We got an order of a dozen mini beignets, to try all the flavors. We are from New Orleans, so we know about beignets. I am usually a purist, but I really liked the vanilla glazed the best and my husbands favorite was the lemon. The chocolate covered was our least favorite. A restaurant, in Louisville(Roux), has amazing chocolate beignets. They have a chocolate filling, not icing. They had an Eggnog Café Au Lait that u regret not trying. All in all, we were happy we stopped, to get our breakfast here.

First, the beignets aren’t even close to the ones you can get at Café Du Monde. I had those last night, so fresh on the mind for comparison. I had an order of the regulars and chocolate covered ones, no chance they are close. Although covering anything in chocolate is never a bad thing. I had the bacon, egg and cheese croissant. Very average. Service was nice but very slow and we were the only customers in there. Small business. Probably wouldn’t go back if I was given the option.

We had breakfast. I got the grits, eggs and bacon and my husband had the bowl to go. We also got an order of beignets and café au lait. The beignets were the best I’ve ever eaten. We were on New Orleans a few days ago and did the obligatory stop at Café du Monde. The beignets here were far superior. If I lived in the area this would probably be a favorite breakfast spot for me. Next time we come to visit family we will definitely be back. Service was also quick and friendly.

We were visiting family in Slidell, and wanted to try beignets without the hassle of driving all the way to New Orleans. This place was a nice little spot to do exactly that. They offer beignets with traditional powdered sugar, chocolate glaze, or lemon glaze. We tried all three and they were all excellent. Cooked fresh to order with a café au lait on the side; the food was good. The ambience leaves a little to be desired, but the service was good.

Great little find! Small menu but they have breakfast basics. Amazing breakfast croissant and the beignets were equally delicious! Went back the next day for take out.

Excellent beignets in Slidell, Louisiana. We were driving home, going back to Houston from a vacation in Florida. We stopped by this place and it was closed for the day. The wonderful manager was still inside and she opened the door and made all ten of us some wonderful beignets. Wonderful service and great food!

We are visitors from California, while in New Orleans we tried(and loved) beignets at Café du Monde. The next morning we stumbled upon Beignet Au Lait in Slidell and the Beignets were even BETTER! I especially liked the lemon glazed ones and my husband loved the chocolate ones,(my aunt thought the traditional powdered sugar was the best). The service was wonderful, both the waitress and the owner made us feel like friends rather than customers. WONDERFUL experience.

They need to update their hours. Went to try them out and they aren’t open. It’s Sunday at 8:18am.

We went here while on vacation and found fantastic beignets! Coffee was great, service was amazing, and after we visited Café Du Monde and came here for the second time, we all agreed that the beignets were much better. It appears that the address is wrong, we went to the one on Robert Blvd near the hospital, but I would recommend these guys to anyone coming to Slidell.

We ran into this place while on our way to the Eco-Tour near the Pearl River. I’m not a beignet fan but these chocolate covered beignets were the BOMB! The breakfast was simple, over easy eggs, bacon and cheese grits. Good coffee. Good service. Simple place and good value convenient off a main thoroughfare.

Out of ice. An hour wait for three orders of beignets. Horribly slow service. Don’t bother. The beignets were good. But nit good enough to sit in an empty restaurant for an hour waiting on your food. Don’t bother.

In the area traveling for work and wanted to see what all the hype was about. The Beignets nor did the Café Au lait let me down. I would recommend this small little diner to anyone wanting to explore the local taste. Very friendly staff and good service. Thanks for the experience.

Just moved to Louisiana and had to make it a point to find some of the Big Easy’s must haves local so I didn’t have to make the drive into the city all the time! So came upon this spot from a flyer in a Hampton Inn Hotel. Went there for breakfast with my father and husband. Great service and good breakfast! I loved that they offer different variations of beignets and sizes that were just delightful! Left very satisfied and would definitely come back here again!
