Quality had really gone down at the Smyrna location. The last time we went, it too over 40 minutes to get our food and then it wasn’t fresh– it had been sitting for awhile. Server didn’t check on us from the time she took our order until after we got our food. We had to point out that we were out of drinks and did not receive fresh food. Never saw Manager the whole time we were there. The table next to us ordered AFTER us and got their food before us. We had two people at their table, they had 7! I think I would rather drive to Murfreesboro to visit one of those. We don’t ask for our meals to be comped, we we would like fresh food that is served the way we request.

Is there a way to no star this dump? My first experience was horrible, and I figured I’d give it another chance. Big mistake. Waited over an hour to be seated. Every order at the table was taken back because it was wrong. Mine was taken back twice. These weren’t even things we ordered. We were given our onion rings appetizer after our meal… and there were 3 onion rings… it gets better, they were burnt. Screw this place.

So, after writing the review, Chili’s social media team reached out to me via Facebook and Twitter. They assured me that they were going to look into things and that they’d notify the store manager, blah blah blah. I got an email a week or so later telling me that they were going to offer me a meal voucher to make up for the bad experience. A week or two after that, I got a letter in the mail. It had $ 25 worth of vouchers good to use for my next visit. Sadly, the meal that was totally botched was more than $ 25. The least they could have done was to reimburse me for the actual amount that I paid. I tore up the vouchers and threw them in the trash. I will never step foot in this chili’s again.

You know that experience you wish you could erase from your memory? Well, that’s Chili’s for you. 15 years ago it was actually a good chain, but they have apparently taken a big step back on the quality of food and are just catering to the younger crowd that doesn’t seem to appreciate good food. First off, we ordered queso dip … big mistake. It tasted like velvetta mixed with hormel chili and some chili powder. Worst dip I’ve ever tasted in my life. I ordered the Cajun pasta for entrée. big mistake #2. I guess I was expecting something besides chicken alfredo with a sprinkling of Tony Chacere’s. Sent that one back, in exchange for ribs. Remember when Chili’s baby back ribs were actually good? Well times have certainly changed. I couldn’t bear to send back another dish, so I just ended up leaving. I won’t be setting foot in another Chili’s anytime soon. It’s too bad they closed down the Catfish House for this load of chain garbage.

My friends and I went here on Saturday around 7ish and surprisingly it wasn’t that busy. We all ordered drinks which was very nice. I had the Blueberry Pineapple Margarita and it was delicious, drank it up before my food arrived. One friend had the fresh bowls or whatever it’s called and it had big chunks of grilled chicken, one had boneless wings which looked yummy, and I had the Texas cheese fries which was tasty. Wasn’t anything special about the food. It was average. Service was poor, though. Our waitress Haley only came around twice and that was after the food just arrived and to give us our tickets. I understand that they make a living off of tips, but if you’re wanting a 18−20% you’re going to have to work for it. I’m going going to hand money over just because you took my order. Murfreesboro Chili’s usually has great service, those people really know how to take care of their customers.

I normally try to avoid Chili’s…I guess I’ve been there five times in the past six years due to other’s wanting to dine there. While the food is ok, I’ve experienced poor service every time I’ve been — adequate at best.

I usually LOVE Chili’s, but this location is awful. The wait staff lacks customer service skills and basic knowledge of new menu items. I ordered the sirloin steak and it was very over salted. My 3 year old got the kids cheese quesadilla and our waitress handed her the scolding hot plate, with the over toasted quesadilla. We also ordered the chips and queso. The queso was disgusting. Will not be back to this location, despite it being close to my home.

We come here quite a bit since it’s right up the road from our house. Every time we come y’all are always out of the pineapple for the pinapple/blueberry Rita. Publix’s an Krogers are right up the street so there’s NO reason y’all should be out of it! Once I told our server Haley that y’all are always out if pinapple an attitude came. My husband was the one who pointed it out too and he usually never says anything about servers. We’re getting a bit tried of attitudes from yalls servers there. Today was the last straw with Haley. She was just so rude, we’ve decided we’re not coming back anymore!!! She broke the camels back today. You’ve lost our business an it’s usually a large crowd that comes with us, just happen to be us today. We will drive to Murfreesboro from now on. Watch your bill there, we’ve had a problem or 2 with servers there adding extra drinks when we’ve cone in with a large crowd.

Guys. This place is just awful. Ok first off, it is a Chilis and that has a whole host of problems like the over-bloated menu, «fried» as accessory, and general«American» dining experience. Here, American means diabetes. But, look if you walk into a Chili’s you know what you are getting. I’m not here to whine about how Chili’s isn’t up to my foodie palate. The problem with this Chilis is every time I eat here I leave doubting America’s ability to maintain its position as a global power in the face of our collective obvious and unrelenting apathy and mediocrity. The service at this location is astoundingly bad. So bad. 8 people; 6 messed up orders. There’s a machine that does checks for you but yet it still takes 35 min to pay and leave. Slow refills, missing items, waiting for everything, slow, slow slow. When a coworker wants to eat here I have to either pass or move a meeting because there is no way to get out of this particular layer of hell in less than two hours. I regret the decision to come here every. single. time. Yet, I return to push the rock up the hill once again. Despair.

When one of my girlfriends suggested Chili’s, I silently groaned to myself & grumbled to my husband. It’s hard to get excited about most chain restaurants — average food, average service & average atmosphere. Chili’s is no exception. My girlfriends & I have an agreement, though — when it’s your birthday, you get to pick the restaurant. I’ve know them for over 20 yrs. & have diligently attempted to get them to venture out, try new food & restaurants — sadly, to no avail. I still LOVE them, just not their tastes in food. That being said, we still had fun getting together for the evening. So, on to our dinner. We ordered the obligatory chips & salsa for a start. The chips were fresh & crisply but extremely salty. The salsa was forgettable. It was 2 for 1 margaritas during happy hour. They were mostly mix with very little tequila. I resorted to ordering a shot on the side to mix into my drinks so they would at least taste like a margarita! For entrees we ordered the Cajun Chicken pasta(at a Tex-Mex restaurant — I’m confused), the Margarita Fresh Mex bowl & the California Grilled Chicken flatbread. My friend who ordered the pasta, seemed to really enjoy it — large bowl with plenty of chicken in a creamy alfredo sauce. The Fresh Mex bowl looked like it was ¾ rice — she ate less than ½ of her entrée. The flatbread, according to the description, was supposed to have bacon & avocado — neither of which I saw in the final dish. It tasted OK, but I would not order it again. Our server, Haley, was very attentive & didn’t seem to mind us staying for almost 3 hours. Could have been because there were only about 8 other tables in the entire restaurant. She asked if we were celebrating a birthday & brought a free ice cream sundae. She even joined in when we sang happy birthday(not something I would have done in a crowded place). Along this corridor of Smyrna, there are at least 10 casual dining chain concepts. Chili’s has a lot of competition for diners.

I never get a bad meal here. Consistent quality food no matter where it is located. We love the endless chips and salsa. No one has chips as good. They have great fajitas and onion rings! Molton brownie has been a winner for my children for years.

It took me 52 minutes to get a tripple dipper. I FOUND the management and let him know how long I had been waiting he was very nonchalant about the situation although he did get my food out. Thats the reason for the two stars

I haven’t been to a Chili’s in years since I moved to DC where they don’t have them. They have really updated the interior at this location and it’s really modern. The interior was also clean. I really liked the tablets at the tables where you can check yourself out quickly and it had tons of games for the kids in our party to play. The food was really good. I had the sour cream enchiladas and they were fantastic as we’re the beans and rice that came with it. The menu has tons of stuff I never remember them having but if they are as good as the enchiladas I’ll be going back to try them out. Our server was very attentive and was able to split up our large parties check with no problem, She saw to our needs quickly and was very friendly. I will be going back in future.

Both my wife and I were a little spooked by the Kiosk tablet device on all the tables. We had ordered lunch and noticed that other tables were being served and we had not yet received our soup and chili yet. I told my wife that we should get the check and go find someplace to eat. within 30 seconds our waitress was at our table telling us our food was on it’s way, it arrived 2 minutes later. You would expect good chili based on the name of the restaurant. I commented to my wife that it did not taste right and had an odd flavor. Again within 1 minute another hostess showed up offering a different soup admitting that the chili may not be their best offering and was«missing ingredients». She was quite insistent that I try a different soup and I am glad I did, The chicken enchilada soup was very tasty. I cannot be sure that our conversations were being monitored by the Kiosk device, but the contextual attentiveness was a little eerie. The rest of the meal was tasty and filling.

After waiting over 30 mins for our food one of my child’s meal was completely wrong; the other child’s meal was half wrong and the bun for the burger was rock hard. I asked for a manager who explained there was a «mix up with tables and when corrected in the system our order was lost». About 10 mins later the correct kids meals arrives and now my husband and my food is cold. The manager told us «sorry for the problem. I will be sure to take care of you. A dessert or something else if you don’t want that». We were never offered a dessert from the server when being instructed how to pay at the table. Both kids meals were still on our check. The only thing taken off was two kids drinks. Will never go to this Chili’s again.

Probably the worst restaurant on the little strip in Smyrna. Food is a hit and miss but usually good. Service is TERRIBLE! I complained to corporate after my third bad service visit and received a free meal. When I returned ton gibe them another chance the service was worse than before. They just don’t seem to care!

First time here… last time here. We had to wait almost 10 mins for a table that wasn’t even clean. Had to ask for it to be cleaned. Got our appetizer then had to ask for silverware and napkins. Grrr! Main course was messed up and the correction was less than wonderful. Sat almost 10 min with an empty glass before it got refilled with more watered down sweet tea. Very low staffed and service was awful. I don’t normally complain but this one will be the exception.

Chilis to go is just as good as the sit down portion.
