i had ordered a large jerky chicken and rice/beans for me and my partner that total was $ 13.50 — it wasn’t very good on rice/beans but jerky chicken was ok. I did not really eat it all and I had a lot passed gas, ugh. It’s not the same as compared as in Jonesbros, GA(correct me if I spells wrong.) you can view my previous reviewer and I also posted a picture. That one was so much FLAVOR, tasty. I loved their jerky chickens and rice/beans very much. That would put you in a good sleep. Lol.

Yamaka-mazukabu-shalaama-ka-ki-say! Okay, get your Jamaican on right here. I come in every couple of weeks or so, for a vegetable or beef patty.

The food was mediocre compared to other Jamaican restaurants I’ve been too, and the prices are slightly expensive, first and last time I’ll come here.

Hmmmm well… Location — Check. I was able to find a great car detail spot across the street. They be cleaning them cars. Staff — doesn’t say much and a smile would be asking to much. The nod for a yes will have to suffice. Ambiance — small but serves a purpose. Food — we went around 4:30pm. I had a medium curry goat which was more than enough! However some of the meat was very chewy almost like they ripped it up with a batch that wasn’t fully cooked but they were trying to meet the lunchtime rush. Cabbage was drained of color and very mushy. Plantains were dry and not edible at all. Not in a rush to go back but may give them a second chance on the oxtails and patti we will see.

The food is great here! Huge fan of Jamaican food. The jerk is jerky enough, the oxtail is amazing! The beans and rice + plantains makes everything worth it. The price is a little much, but since it is a family owned business that’s understandable. I’d recommend this to fiends and family. If you want a great, authentic Jamaican meal give this place a shot.

Honestly, all the other reviews are a lie. These people here are rude and the food is over priced. I’ve visited this establishment multiple times over the course of 2 years. I’m NEVER greeted when I walk in. The owner would be sitting right in front of the door and wouldn’t even say hello when you come in. He’s always sitting down, running his mouth with some woman. Same thing with the ladies that serve you. You ask them questions and they barely open their mouth to respond. They always look like someone upset them. To top it off, the food is mediocre and expensive. I don’t see how they are still in business. I used to go there when I was super hungry because they are so close to my house but I’ve had enough of them now. I’m done.

The food is always good and the inside is clean. The employees are nice and friendly. My personal favorite is the ox tails. Their beef patties are good too. My husband usually gets curry and has never once complained. So all in all 5STARS

I’m going to be honest, it’s the fact that this place is a family ran business that keeps us coming back to support it. They even have their kids working in here. Is the food good? Yes. Is it worth the price? Eh… no. My husband and I are from Miami so we grew up off of Caribbean, cuban and puerto rican dishes. Finding authentic food in metro Atlanta is hard, but this place is pretty close in my opinion. They HAVE ran out of food before, and once we didn’t find out until we went to pick it up and saw that they didn’t give us the right order. Sneaky business practice, but they did give us extra food at no charge because of the situation. It was late and we were hungry, so we took it. I really do see potential for this place. It’s in a decent area, not far from Marietta Square, and like I stated before, it’s a family business. But I can’t imagine that it’s that slow that they have to charge so much for food. The portions do not warrant the cost… hell the taste doesn’t even warrant the cost.

Food is 4 star quality but prices are just ridiculous for the quantity of protein you get. The flavors are authentic but true cost should be ½ of what you end up paying. Also, the beef patties seem they are exactly thr same as the frozen St. isles ones.

Pretty bad food — especially for the price. Decent customer service. Got a large jerk chicken. –Chicken was slightly spicy. Would not even really consider this jerk, more like mesquite bar-b-que. –Whatever was going on with the cabbage needs to just stop. Tasted like over-cooked, under-seasoned seaweed. –Rice and peas. What in the world are they using to season this with? Ketchup??? I taste some weird off-the-shelf seasoning mixed with ketchup… –Plantains … what horribleness this was and why it was allowed to happen is beyond me. Cooked to the point where they are dried to bark consistency, they were inedible because they had NO taste. Can’t eat there again and I suggest you drive miles out of the way to go to Jamaica Luxe. For the price, you WILL come out better and the taste is outrageously good. Make sure to pass right on by Scotch Bonnet — which is pretty much hot garbage. Heck, maybe the Mi Krazy folks need to take a drive to Jamaica Luxe and see how this is supposed to be done.

I’m a fat guy, and I happen to work in the car business. That translates to me having precious little time to go out of my way trying new restaurants that might be hit or miss. It’s pretty well known that I enjoy Jamaican food… beef patties, jerk chicken, oxtails? I’m IN! So when my buddy said that Jamaica Mi Krazy was the best Jamaican on this side of town, I took him at his word. I also left slightly underwhelmed. Full disclosure, the food wasn’t bad at all… in fact, the oxtails are the best I’ve had outside of a soul food joint. The jerk chicken was ok… reminded me of the sweet and saucy variety served at Rodney’s, and less like the spicy version at Paulee’s that I love, which just happens makes my head sweat. The curry chicken was good, and the portion size on their 3 meat sampler platter was outstanding. It was enough for me to share a bit, and still have 2 meals. No qualms with the prices or the service, and I’ll definitely be back to try the patties, along with another helping of the oxtails/cabbage/rice & peas!

The food is JUST okay. I find it to be really overpriced. Unfortunately I can’t say anything good about the customer service. A little friendliness goes a long way. Overall, I am disappointed. They always seem to run out of certain items like chicken Roti and the menu on the wall lacks prices and information like what exactly comes with each meal as a side. Sigh.

Had the Jamaican jerk and my husband had the curry chicken. Jerk will do if your having a craving but I have had better in the past. Rice and peas a little dry, but curry chicken and cabbage was great!

Customer service is lacking, I guess that’s a trend in minority businesses as well as running out of items. The food is decent, it wasn’t the best and it wasn’t the worst. I ordered $ 60 worth of food, it was to feed 4 adults and 2 small children. We all agreed the food was meh… but no one felt like going to the stone mountain area to get familiar food. Didn’t notice their food score was like a 80 B the time I went until after I paid for the food. If I would’ve saw that before hand I would walked out. It’s sad wendys and steak n shake score higher on the food score that this place. The food is pricey and it doesn’t reflect in the taste(ingredients) or the portion size. I asked for some more rice and the girl was like that’s $ 2. I said how about I just leave all this shit here and go to a real restaurant? She begrudgingly gave more rice lol Happy we didn’t get sick tho, I might try them out again if their food score improves. THAT’S A HUGEMIGHT, like if someone else was paying. Like I said it wasn’t the worst but it isn’t the best. How do you run out of patties and coco bread and have no scotch bonnet sauce? I could see if it was 30 mins before close even an hour before close on the weekend but this was an early week day around 6pm. This place could be better with organization, better attitudes, and a higher food score.

The hours posted are 10:30 a.m. I get there and they don’t let me in until 11am. The food still wasn’t fully made then so i had to wait even longer. Besides that time issue, the food is great. I ordered the jerk chicken combo. A little pricey but nice portions make up for it. If I come back it’ll be afternoon where they should have everything prepared.

First time here, and I love love love the oxtail! While the venue itself is a bit small, the food made up for it. We ordered the mi krazy combo(jerk chicken, oxtail and curry goat), and it was more than enough to feed the both of us. The skin on the jerk chicken was crunchy and delicious, but the meat itself was a little dry. The curry goat and oxtail were just as good as any other place I’ve had it. The plantains were ok. I’m ised to having them crunchy and sweet on the outside, gooey on the inside… But it was just crunchy. Will I be back again? Most def.

A little pricy for Jamaican food but they make up for that with the incredible portions. My girlfriend and I ordered a large plate and shared it. It was enough for dinner and lunch the next day for both of us. We ordered the curry goat with rice and peas, cabbage and plantains. The curry goat was extremely well seasoned and as a cabbage fan, I was pleased with the spiciness of my cabbage. The plantains were an after thought though I wonder if it was a result of the nearing closing time… and we only got three, which I thought was unusual. But they were dry and tough. I also wish they carried festival, which is like my favorite thing from Jamaica ever! We’ll eat there again though, what they make well, they make very well.

Was very pumped when we found this place in scout mob … it has been a while since i have had some jamaican food so i was really looking forward to it … we ordered a plate of jamaican jerk chicken, plain white rice, chicken stew with the rice and beans, and we both had a side of steamed veggies and fried plantains: Jamaican Jerk Chicken — way too salty. It was good but in very small amounts. After a while, I was a bit dizzy on what I suspect is my blood pressure shooting off the roof. The steamed veggies helped calm that a bit, but it was impossible to finish that plate. Stewed Chicken — our least favorite. Hubby had a few bites and had to push the plate off. I had some and although I can understand the flavor profile they were trying to go for, I simply did not find the balance there. It seemed like there were just too much stuff going on and it is definitely overwhelming. Although I found the rice and beans very nice. I really liked that. My fave will have to be the fried plantains. Very delicious — still plump and juicy and sweet with a dash of the crunchy caramelization on the edges. Very delicious! We have something exactly like this in the Philippines and that definitely took me back to my childhood. I loved it! Now, I dont see any option for tap water so you will have to purchase bottled water or canned or bottled soda. The people are not overly friendly but very nice. The portions were huge but it was such a shame since we werent really digging the taste of the food. I am not sure if we should give it a second try or not …

Thought I’d try to find a Jamaican spot on this side of town. What a mistake! Geez, I don’t know if people who are reviewing this place has ever eaten anything remotely Jamaican if they are rating this place good. I’m with Kat W on the customer service as well. There was a fair skin lady behind the counter plating the food who barely parted her lips when I walked in. actually I don’t think she even greeted me until I said hello. Then she mumbled something under her breath. pretty unenthusiastic. Jerk chicken was some of the WORST I’ve had, so they shouldn’t even tout that. It was dry and lacked any resemblance of jerk seasoning. The rice was mush and the plantains… well um… you get my point. Stay the h#ll away from here.

Jamaica Mi Krazy opened in Spring 2012 in a small strip mall on Spring Rd, not too far from Cobb Parkway and I-285. This small Jamaican restaurant has some very good jerk chicken and oxtail, but I think the food is a little overpriced. There are $ 5.99 and $ 6.99 lunch specials, but the only meats you get to choose from are brown stew chicken, curry chicken, and fried chicken. The brown stew chicken and the curry chicken consist of small, bone-in chunks of chicken soaked in sauce. The good stuff is on the regular menu, where combos are priced at $ 8.50-$ 9.50 for a medium combo and $ 10.50 to $ 13.50 for a large combo. Menu items include the aforementioned jerk chicken and oxtail, baked chicken, curry goat, and stew peas. You can get any three meats for $ 15.00. They also sell roti, fish, and shrimp. In addition, Jamaican patties(beef, chicken, veggie, spinach, jerk) are only $ 2.00 a piece. These seem to be the best value. Sides include rice(different varieties), plantains, mashed potatoes, steamed cabbage, yellow yams, green bananas, and more. There’s no tap water, so if you want water, you’ll have to purchase a bottle of Dasani for $ 1.00. Most of the food is already prepared and sitting in a serving line next to the cash register. The medium combo is plenty of food for one person. It includes rice and beans(or just white rice — your choice), steamed cabbage, and your meat. You can also get gravy poured on top. I like the oxtail gravy, even with my jerk chicken. The jerk chicken is very good, perhaps some of the best I’ve had in Atlanta. Yes, it’s that tasty. The meat is quite tender and the skin/seasonings flavorful. They did an excellent job with this one. The oxtail is also pretty good. Oxtail has a fatty, tendon-like consistency, so it’s not for everyone. The sauce they use for the oxtail has a unique, aromatic, and smoky flavor. Some what indescribable, but it’s savory. I recommend both. If you’re looking for a hearty snack, try one of the patties. They’re like Hot Pockets, but much better and freshly made to order. The beef patty seems to be the most popular. The consistency of the beef inside the bun is finer than taco meat. Service is good. The meals are served instantly off the line in Styrofoam containers with disposable silverware. The restaurant is small and not entirely conducive to dine-in eating due to the limited amount of seating(a few small tables and bar-height seating around the windows). Jamaican pop is blasted over the speakers, so it can get loud in here. There are also a few TV displays showing CNN feeds.
