UPDATE! This store has not closed for good! Hang in there NY style pizza fans! I am told the owner has had HEALTH issues and this is the only reason for the frequent closed sign. Still in business! This is a FAMILY business so when they are ill, the store has to close. Let’s all wish a speedy recovery so we can all again enjoy this awesome food made with love!

Great pizza but the inconsistent hours have forced my brain to automatically remove them as an option for pizza cravings. When I spontaneously remember this spot, 50 percent chance that I call and they are closed.

Lucky 13 would get 5 stars on the food alone but this place is never open when I’m in the mood for pizza. I’m not sure what kind of business they’re running but it’s hit or miss to catch then open. 9 times out of 10 they’re closed for some reason. Someone needs to rescue this place and keep it open during business hours.

This is probably my favorite pizza place in town. I would’ve given them 5 stars but the days that they’re open can be quite erratic. There have been quite a few times that I’ve gone even on a Saturday and they were closed. Other than that, the pizza is pretty great.

I love this place. found it via Unilocal. Only bad thing is they seem to randomly close. Who does that?! Pizza by the slice and best hands down that I’ve had

This pizza is great!!! The crust is crispy, the sauce tastes fresh and the cheese yummm… I had a chance to chat with the owners, very nice people! I always love to support a family owned business!

I’ve been looking for great pizza since moving to Atlanta, and who knew I would find it on Spring. If you love NY style thin crust made fresh in front of you with the best ingredients, for a cheap price, this is the place to go. The owners are super friendly, so knowledgable, and go that extra mile to make sure the pizza is perfect. And it is better than any I actually had in NYC. So long Dominoes Hello Lucky 13.

A sad day for my love for pizza and the wonderful stuff offered by Lucky 13 Pizzeria. I’m done. Done with the constant phone messages, drive-bys, lack of consistency in business hours… done. Monday, March 17th, I made that phone call again, as so many times before to find out if my favorite pizza joint in the ATL area, heck, favorite just about anywhere outside NYC was open, and BAM! Someone answered the phone, and«Yes», she said on the end of the line. Awesome! I literally informed all of my co-workers that it finally happened, Lucky 13 was open again! I kept the faith, hoped whatever dilemma, tragedy, etc that had befallen the business was now in the past, and we were ready for pizza, Great Pizza! When I asked if they were open, I did get somewhat of a snotty, «Well, Yes…», kinda like nothing had changed, but whatever… PIZZA! I had actually packed my lunch that day, but there was tomorrow, and it was only a day away. Wrong. Today(Tuesday), after wrangling up my co-workers, all excited about our place being open again, driving a little out of the way for that magical pie… and CLOSED. Not just one closed sign on the front door, but nearly every window had a posted«closed» sign. Done. The 2 stars are for once was, but no more. A business is indeed run on return customers, but also being open, and staying consistent. If you still were not prepared to be open, get prepared.

Best Pizza in Smyrna, Atlanta or anywhere else you can find to compare it to! Love the interesting toppings on the pizzas in the window as well as the option to make my own by adding toppings to a base pizza(like cheese or pepperoni). Great way to try new things. If you are really craving meat, try the Metallica! Oh man! My ultimate favorite is the Stromboli, crunch outside, soft and bubbly inside. I don’t know what goes into that dough but it is amazing! So bring your taste buds in and try something new. The owners are terrific. You’ll leave with a full belly and new friends. Don’t forget to save room for dessert. I’d tell you how great the peanut butter cookies are but there may not be any left for us if everyone knows how delicious they are. I’ll tell you to get the chocolate chip ones so we can have the PB ones. They taste like grandma made them!

Lucky 13 Pizzeria is one of those locally owned and operated pizza joints that you want to see thrive in your neighborhood. The folks that own/run the pizzeria are great and just the type you want to see running any local eating establishment. The Pizzeria itself makes some of the best pies you can find in the metro Atlanta area and at a completely reasonable«I want a cheap meal» price. Every time I’ve been they always seem to have a new type of pizza which I am forced to try and love. If you are thinking about eating here — do it. Not only will you have a great meal you can write home about, but you will also be helping a locally owned business thrive.

The other reviewers had it right. This place has an intimate feel. They only have about 4 – 5 tables, and most of them can only fit 2 people. Everything looked cramped inside the tiny space. The people here do seem friendly. They acted cheerful and described their pizzas well. They gave off a warm atmosphere. To play off of their name, every 13th day of the month, they have a special deal for their pizza(unless they’re closed). I couldn’t remember what it was, but it looked like a nice gimmick. The pizzas themselves were okay. I got their 2 slice and soda deal. The slices looked huge and had a thin crust. One of the slices tasted like cardboard. The other crust seemed better. It had a nice crush and an okay taste. I guess having to reheat the slices gives some inconsistencies. Overall, this is no different than the million other pizza places in town that serves slices and sodas. I guess they all depend on which place you’re closest to.

On a spur I went to this neighborhood eatery and was satisfied. It is very clean with limited seating and front row view to a big olé pizza oven. Pizzas are fresh to order if you order a whole one. They didn’t have exactly what I was looking for(a slice with black olives and cheese) so they took a precooked crust added the toppings and popped it the oven for a couple of seconds. Smart idea. Customization without all the time normally required. I also noted that a guy was about to roll out some pizza dough that appeared to be freshly made. Heck yeah! Prices are reasonable, staff is friendly. They get five stars when they start accepting AMEX.

Signed up just so i could write a review for this place. First time I came here the service was awesome and the pizza was great. I’ve been coming back every week and I try something new every time. Showed up once when they were closed and they gave me a discount next time I came in. Ebony said the pizza wasn’t good but I bet if she would have said something they would have done their best to fix it. These guys know how to keep customers.

Went to this place and ordered pizza by the slice. The sausage smelled spoiled and the pizza had no flavor. The people are nice, but the nicest person in the world couldn’t make that pizza taste better! Where’s Gordon Ramsay when you need him.

Great NY style pizza. The owners are very friendly. Best pizza in Smyrna/Vinings area. I stop by for a slice or two at least once a week.

I’m always skeptical about Pizzerias because I hold every Pizza to Pizza Hut Standards but I gotta admit this pizza is really good. Me & my wife are here atleast once a week sometimes twice. The people are extremely friendly & the chocolate chip cookies are addictive! I’m telling you! I was in a Meatball mood & he hooks me up wit a meatball strombli(pictured above) & I took about 6 or 7 bites before I took a breath, it was that good! I would recommend Lucky 13 Pizzeria to anybody for a great pizza experience!
