Went last week on a Saturday night at about 9pm. There was literally nobody in the restaurant except my date and I. We wanted a couple of slices of pizzas to which we were told there were no slices. The restaurant was freezing. I ordered 10 wings and my date a salad and Stromboli. Took nearly 30 minutes for any wood to come out. Not even the salad!!! Never was asked if we needed anything after the food came out. Wings were just terrible.

The worst Johnny’s Pizza we’ve ever eaten. Note: This review does not describe all Johnny’s experiences — just this particular location. We ordered a Margherita pizza for pick-up and got a gluten free crust. The crust basically felt like a tortilla and tasted like a Nilla Wafer. There was hardly any sauce on it, I’d guess a tablespoon of cheese in the very center, a mound of tomatoes and burnt basil. Horrible.

Gamers require sustenance! I ordered pizza from this place for an 11:30am play-testing session down the street at Titan Games & Comics. I knew I’d need 3 large pies at 11:30am, so I tried calling in the night before. They said, «Should be no problem, just call us when we open at 11am.» So I did, and they said, «Oh, we can’t promise your pizzas will be ready by 11:30am.» *facepalm* So I made a few, quick calls and delayed our session until 11:45am. That being said… This was some solid pizza. Tasty. I’m afraid I have very limited baseline comparison for what a «real» New York Pizza should be.(I’m not sure there is hugely widespread consensus on that, anyway.) Was this a thin crust? Yes. Was it crispy? No. Could you fold a slice in half and eat it like a sandwich? Yes. Have I had pizza like this in New York? You betcha. So apart from the slow start on a Saturday morning, I would happily return for more of this delicious pizza. Holler if you’re coming with!

I second the first fellow, being that I’m originally from NY myself I was thrilled when I found this place. Why do places around here constantly try to mislabel themselves in this way? The pizza is NOTHING like a NY pie. The slices are decent size, but there is much more to a NY pie than size. You can’t even fold them in half and watch grease drip down the middle(!?). I do have to say that the spinach calzone is pretty good, but still not NY quality. They should just call themselves Johnnys. Not only that, but at this location they are slow as tar! I swear, my friend and I were sitting there for about 10 minutes before this woman came to get our drink orders, went in the back came back 10 minutes later to say«we dont have ___» and then came back another 10 minutes later to take our meal orders. Seriously?! This isn’t Little Italy!

So tired of places calling themselves«NY Style Pizza» when they resemble nothing at all like pies from anywhere in NY. Look, just call it pizza or whatever, but not NY Style if you have no clue what that means. Long story short, this is not NY Style pie at all. Crust is heavy and dense, and their must be a shortage on cheese because their wasn’t even enough to cover the sauce. Pretty skimpy. Not horrible pizza, but not so great and def not NY Style. Maybe the problem is this is a franchise

I came here because I had a coupon. I ordered a Stromboli and two slices with 1 topping each. I think she misunderstood because she brought me back 1 slice with the 2 toppings, even though she read back my order and I repeated the order to correct another mix-up she had with the wrong toppings, she probably should have written it down. The slice wasn’t as big as I was hoping for and was super thin(not sure if a pro or con). The stromboli was delicious though, first one I ever had. The waitress was very good at her job and very friendly and attentive. My only complaints really are the miscommunication and although I was the only customer in there at 11:15 a. m, it took 20 minutes to get my order out. I’ve worked for a shop like this before and slices do not take that long at all. Maybe the Stromboli is was took a while.

Whenever you walk into a place… and there is only one customer… on a Saturday… this should speak volumes. I was hungry, ate at one of their other locations and liked it… so I stayed. Bad move by me. Ordered the meatball sub and a slice. The pizza was pure crap. You can tell that the cooks are inexperienced and just winging it. I don’t like looking into a food kitchen while I eat. because your brain looks for whats wrong back there. I hate to see people with facial hair making my food… it just mysteriously ends up in your food sometimes(didnt happen here tho) Never returning.

Left Atlanta over 5 years ago and excited to hit all our favorite spots. Really wished we didn’t make it back to this one. The pizza slices were horrible and over cooked, while the sub sandwich was only so-so. What made the experience worse was our order was messed up and the staff was not interested in making it right. Johnny’s use to have good food and was better managed, sorry to see this one succeed at less than average!

Every Johnny’s is different and I’ve found that the experience all hinges on how well it’s managed and it’s people. I normally go to the one off Chattahoochee which is great, but I was in the area recently and stopped to try the Cumberland location for the first time… I don’t know where to begin. Besides the pizza order being completely botched by the waitress, I didn’t think the pie was as good as others I’ve had at their other locations. No sauce. But really, the main turnoff was the service. At first, I thought maybe the waitress was just a little distracted or new on the job, but after about 15 minutes I realized she was just plain rude and unprofessional. I’m not sure what type of issues she had going on, but I just came for a good pie and some decent service. Instead I got monster ‘Tude which quickly inspires me to come on here and Unilocal. She just showed very little in the way of basic manners and etiquette. She barely could force a grin on her face as if it was a drudgery to take my order. Then she took forever to do basic things like bring over my drink or refill, and then seemed to catch an attitude if I asked for a refill. Not to mention, when she brought out my food, she kind of flung the pan down without saying a word and then just walked off without asking the usual server questions like«can I get you anything else?» or «how does everything look?». I hate that I can’t remember her name, but she looked to be a young woman with dark hair color. From here on, I’ll just make the drive to some of their other locations instead. This Johnny’s is definitely no reflection of the level of service you would expect at the franchise in general.

Went here for a quick bite to eat. I was waiting on someone to join me, so I ordered cheesesticks for us to munch on. They were great! I had them with pepperoni and they were seasoned to perfection. They could have used a little more time in the oven. The sweet tea was definitely made by a certified southerner! I was so full after that, I decided to not order anything else. My husband ordered their standard stromboli. While it was tasty, the size was not considerable in comparison to many others that I have seen. But, it did not seem as if they overwhelmed your meal with dough. The waitstaff was very pleasant and accomodating. They have a Ms. PacMan in the back that is still .25(several of them have increased to .50), so I will definitely be back!
