Love this place! All the guys that work here are so friendly, so helpful and yes. HOT too! Great beer section, incredible wines reasonably priced & just everything you are looking for!

I was looking for some #Allagash, and wound up with a BOGO of #GooseIsland variety 24 pk! I got 48 craft beers for $ 24. Score! Bianca also hooked me up with 2 #pintglasses and a keychain/​bottle opener. WOOOT. Incredible variety of liquors at a very reasonable price. Pretty good selection of beer as well. It’s my go-​to spot before a party

I live right down the street, and frequent SWOB often. I travel and enjoy coming home to find the wines I’ve tried on the road, right here at home. The guys are super helpful and always check to see if they can help. I have a budget, and can honestly say there are some excellent bottles I’d never tried if it hadn’t been for their specials.
That said, I have to say the checkout people they hire are the WORST. unfriendly, and not just that… you get the feeling they talk about you. Maybe they don’t, but you get the vibe. They are often rude and I’ve often left wondering why I shop there. Then, I uncork, breathe, and let it go. Well, except for tonight.

The guys were so helpful when I came into the store clueless on trying to plan my husbands surprise birthday whiskey tasting party. They were very knowledgeable on their products and helped me choose five really great whiskies while being sensitive to my budget. Thanks again for all your help guys! The whiskey tasting was a great success!

I am very much a fan of this place. The people are helpful and have always been able to point me to underrated beverages that other place don’t carry. Their prices can’t be beat either.
They have an excellent bourbon selection, as well as wine, but I found the cognac selection to be pretty small. Those are my regular purchases so I can’t comment on the other beverage choices.
They have never steered me in the wrong direction when making a purchase. I have checked out other local stores that are supposed to have good prices/​selection and this store beats all fo them.

Just went to the Smyrna World of Beverages last week to pick up some liquor for a holiday party and wow, was very impressed by the sheer volume of offerings! Beer, wine, liquor, mixers, bitters, and more. Very helpful staff and good prices. I even picked up some silicone ice cube trays that create oversized cubes perfect for cocktails. Great local spot for stocking up on parties or just for a regular beer/​wine run.

Nice liquor store in an easy to access shopping center. Prices are reasonable, and they have a pretty great selection. They even had an elusive Terrapin beer that I love!
I bought a lot of heavy things the last time I went and they were kind enough to help me to my car. I appreciate that kind of service. There’s also people around to ask questions while you’re shopping.
I would like more individual beers to grab but you can’t really complain too much.

Great place. Wonderful selection and great floor expertise on the wine selections. 3 star awarded due to super rude cashiers. The guys working the floor are great but the cashiers make the trip to this awesome store pretty much blasé

This is my go to spot for adult beverages. When I walk in I like having the freedom to look around without someone watching me. The customer service is great and I always find something new to try because of the wide selection.
One other thing that I like is they have an officer posted at the door later in the evening so I feel a little more secure if I drop in before they close.

These employees are super helpful without being annoying. I kind of wish that, but am glad that they don’t have – a frequent shopper program so I can’t see what an alcoholic I am.

Nice staff. Decent selection and good prices but it is very crowded in here and a bit hard to get by someone if you are both trying to walk down the same aisle. They didn’t have the rum I was looking for but the people up front were helpful and willing to order it for me. The only downside, as I said, was how packed this store is. It’s hard to see the beer selection because the boxes are stacked so close to the cooler doors.

Not much to say other than… GREAT PRICES and GREAT SELECTION. It’s my husband and I go to spot for our spirits.

Staff is knowledgeable about most wine and liquor recommendations. Average prices and the selection is on par with most package shops.

I am a wine nut. And the SWOB is the place for me to start any search. The wine experts (3 – 4 diff guys that rarely steer me wrong) are the #1 reason to check this out. #2 is the wine selection. They aren’t always the best price. But if you just listen to the experts, they will steer you to exactly what you are looking for.
Pay attention to the signs that say SWOB special, those are usually great deals on amazing wines!

My mom stopped here to get some spirits before she went to a Christmas party. My mom rarely drinks, so she doesn’t know her way around a liquor store. The associates were very helpful in helping her select what she came there for in the first place (golden grain), and some different spirits to give as gifts. We both saw this beer/​moonshine concoction and immediately grabbed them off the shelf. An associate came by and said, «I wouldn’t do that if I were yall…» and gave his honest opinion on it and told us about the other (legal) moonshines the store carried and which was the best. I wish I could remember everyone’s names because they were so helpful.

I come here quite frequently since I live nearby.
The store is large and always well stocked. I like their selection of wines and the fact that you can find things here that many other stores don’t carry: looking for Korean Soju? They have several varieties. How about some Gluehwein? Check! Aperol? Got that as well…
There’s one guy that is very knowledgeable about wine and has always been extremely helpful. The people at the checkout tend to be very young… my guess is college kids.
Two reasons why I’m subtracting one star for my go-​to liquor store:
1) the parking situation is horrible. It’s a tiny parking lot with a narrow entrance. On a busy Saturday afternoon, it’s nearly impossible to get in and out of here
2) the store is crammed with product and when you first walk in, it almost appears like boxes of bottles are about to come crashing down on you. If they can open up the space a bit, it’s going to be more welcoming.
I would consider this medium-​priced store. Not as cheap as Trader Joe’s, but cheaper than your local grocery store.
I would definitely recommend coming here to check it out!

Great selection of wine, with a good price point on most bottles. Do yourself a favor and spend some time talking with their winemonger. He was very knowledgable about the vineyards and characteristics of his wine. He asked questions, then made some good recommendations for me.

Why have I only just discovered this mecca for all things alcohol??? World of Beverages is the best! They have an amazing variety of wines, beers, liquors, sake, EVERYTHING! The staff is the best! They are always quick to offer great recommendations, and so far their recommendations have been spot on. Above all else, their prices are amazing! Worth the drive from anywhere to get some good advice and great deals on your next libation.
