Great customer service. Great price point especially on Monday’s. Nice and fresh pizza. I really enjoyed the visit will be back soon.

I have tried a good number of pizzas here and find them to be mostly fair to middling but sometimes quite good. UMPJ combines the front-end production line process like you have at a sub shop(i.e. Subway or Blimpie’s) or burrito joint(i.e. Willy’s or Moe’s). In this establishment, when the production line ends, you pay for your food and wait at a table while your pizza bakes in the oven. Not a problem unless you go here with someone who orders a salad. In that case, the person eating their salad will likely finish their food by the time you get your pizza(unless one wishes to stare at the salad and wait a long time). Aside from that issue, the pizza here is is good but certainly not great. The pizza is thin crust and you can pick and choose from a fairly large variety of meat, sauce, cheese and veggie toppings. Vegetarians will likely find something suitable their in that there are so many veggie toppings to choose from. I am skeptical about the dough that they use to make the crust(especially with respect to the whole wheat crust option) — not traditional but not altogether bad either. Perhaps really deserves 3.5 stars; however, I will dispense with three.

So the place looks really cool to come in for lunch/dinner. I was supper excited that I was able to create my own pizza and know that it was going to be freshly made. How great is that! Well let me tell you it was delicious. I could not stop eating it. So far this is the best pizza joint I found so far hear in Smyrna, GA. They are not luxurious, but instead simple and delicious. Check out my pic of my pizza! Looking forward to my next visit!

The concept is great. Comes from the«welcome to moes» people. Just like Chipotle’s, some stores have good fast employees and others are slow. This location is one of the slower ones. The food is the same. PROTIP-CALL ahead if you know what you like and save 20 minutes waiting

Got the BBQ chicken pizza with fresh mozzarella and an extra side of BBQ sauce for dipping. Added a touch of greenery with spinach and a splash of tang with banana peppers. Um um good! Service was stellar and management light hearted. Joke was on me as I exited out the patio door only to about face to exit out of the correct door. But the design challenge is worth a freshly made pie. Slightly expensive but a yummy treat to eat.

I love the availability of the fresh pizza toppings! I think that’s the best thing about Maddio’s, other than the wheat crust. One topping I wish they would add is ground turkey. They had turkey chunks, which are more for a salad than pizza. I love Maddio Monday’s when they have the 9 inch, 3 topping pizza for $ 6.49. I have never had a bad experience at this restaurant but only get my pizzas to go.

We were excited to check out this new location. The employees were very friendly and attentive. The pizza was good — consistent with what we’ve had at other locations. My only complaint was the cheese sticks. They were paper thin and the spices were much too strong(somebody OD’d on the oregano). I’m definitely willing to give them another try.

My gf and I love this place. Tried last night! Great food! Great staff! The GM was great and sure everything was ok. The price for a pitcher of beer was a bit pricey. We will definitely be back soon.

Last night I waited 20 minutes for my personal pizza and decided to go to the front counter to check on my order. It took three people scrambling for 3 minutes to determine that they somehow missed my order and never made my pizza. I was so upset that I just asked for my money back. They refunded me all of my money, apologized, and gave me 2 free pizza coupons for my next visit. For that, I will forgive and let them work out the kinks of the new location.

First time to one of these, but the staff was very friendly and helpful as I digested the menu. So many delicious options to choose from… I got a special pie with peaches on it! Wild but tasty. I’m definitely going back to try other varieties.

I ordered a medium BBQ Chicken Pizza & Simple Veggie Pizza each pizza costed $ 15.99 plus 75 cents per extra topping $ 34 plus tax total. The medium pizzas a very small and enough for one person. The crust is very thin, but the pizza didn’t taste bad it was good. I called and placed a to go order and they said it would be ready in 10 minutes. I go pick it up and it still wasn’t ready I had to wait additional 15 minutes. The place wasn’t packed and it was a lot of employees behind the counter I don’t understand why I had to wait so long for a pick up order. I will not revisit because it’s better pizza affordable pizza places in the Smyrna area.

This is a great«hangout» spot but also a «family» environment. The pizza is amazing. The staff is very attendant(especially considering it’s a pizza restaurant). Will be back often. The concept and variety is fresh.

I’ve only been to the Ansley Plaza location once but absolutely loved it. Once I saw this place open about two weeks ago I was excited to visit! As expected, the service from the moment I walked in was exceptional and the food was great! I ordered the Peachy Keen pizza to experiment with new flavors and was not disappointed. A white sangria to accompany my meal was perfect for the hot summer day. It’s a little out of sight from the mains roads(East West Connector and S. Cobb) but it’s worth the find!

The food is good but they need a little work on the services. While telling the guy who is making the pizza what you want, the lady making the ticket is rushing you to finish. What if I want to add spinach at the end of my pizza being made. I was looking at all the ingredients, trying to make my selections and the lady making the ticket was rushing me. It’s like talking to 2 people at once and repeating your order multiple times. My salad took longer than my pizza.

A frustrating visit. I’ve been to the Akers Mill and Woodstock locations dozens of times over the past few years, and I love the Monday specials because I can get a Big Max for now and a BBQ chicken take-and-bake for later in the week. When I saw that this new Maddio’s — much closer to my home — was offering the same deal, I jumped at the chance. Well… first of all, the maze-like entrance is cramped and hard to navigate. I had to wait nearly ten minutes for the entitled couple in front of me to dither over every single possible topping. Meanwhile, the half-dozen other employees were just standing around while I got more and more annoyed. Finally, I stepped up and placed my usual order in twenty seconds flat. When I got to the register, though, I discovered that I would be charged the full $ 8.99 for each pizza. Ugh. I was beyond frustrated since money’s tight right now, and these pizzas were going to be a rare treat. The manager decided to deduct a few bucks from each one, but that along with the inefficient layout and service just left me in a bad mood. (I originally gave this Maddio’s a two-star rating, but I bumped it up because, to be honest, I wasn’t exactly the most pleasant customer! Plus, I checked Facebook when I got home and saw that the offer does indeed say«three-topping» instead of «specialty», so the mistake was mine. Still, specialty vs. three-topping has never been an issue at the other locations. I’d like to keep coming back to this new Smyrna location, but my first try tainted the experience. Maybe I’ll return once I cool down!)

My BF and I came here on their opening day and we were pretty excited to have another local pizza place so close to home. When you walk in, the staff is very inviting and friendly. The menu is easy to read and fits a pretty good variety of tastes. Even though it was crowded, the line moved very efficiently and the ordering process was smooth. I ordered the Italian summer pizza sans the egg sub mushrooms on garlic crust. The crust was pretty greasy, probably because it is coated in garlic infused olive oil, but the flavor a of the fresh ingredients: fresh mozzarella, basil, tomatoes, mushrooms, and prosciutto, were very nice. The pizzas are $ 7.95 for make your own 3 topping, you chose between regular, wheat or gluten free crust, 3 different sauces and several combinations of very fresh ingredients. Their signature pizzas are $ 8.95 and all of the recipes look fantastic. The service was great and the pizza was very good. We may come back soon!

This place just opened, so of course we had to try it out. We’ve eaten at an Uncle Maddio’s before, so we knew the pizza was pretty fresh. I ordered one of their summer specials, the Peachy Keen Pizza. It was delicious! Peaches, mozzarella, feta, caramelized onions, basil, balsamic… what’s not to love? My husband got the BBQ chicken pizza and also said it was fantastic. We had multiple different people come over to talk to us about their plans for the restaurant and to check to make sure we were satisfied with our food. We also had a warm chocolate chip cookie for dessert, and it was delicious! Although it is a chain, I’m happy that it’s a chain that seems to use«fresh» ingredients. My husband and I typically don’t like anything the same on our pizza, so I’m glad that we’ll have this option close by to each get our own! We’ll be back!

Great Pizza. Plenty of toppings! Took no time at all to customize a pizza and by the time I got my drink and found a seat my hot fresh pizza was hitting the table! Great Job Uncle Maddio’s!
