Kind of a neat funky place, owner was very pleasant but i was not really impressed with the sandwiches that we had, there are better places in Snohomish, so i will go elsewhere.

Absolutely delicious! This restaurant was highly recommended to us, and it lived up to our expectations. I had the Panzanella salad, as well as a taste of the French Onion Dip sandwich, and both were very tasty and fresh. Also, the owner was exceptionally kind and attentive. Great place to relax and recharge while shopping in Snohomish!

Egg salad sandwich was a drab, most affordable on the pricey menu, I also left hungry still because the portion was small, but I was fine with that because the sandwich was so blah. Won’t go back.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch and what a great decision that turned out to be. The owner was willing to let us sample-size 5 – 6 items on the menu and all of them were really tasty and unique. This is a great destination for something different. In a town full of good eatery choices, definitely stop in to The Hungry Pelican — and enjoy!

Very good food especially for those who want dairy free or gluten free food. Cool little place. Staff is very friendly and attentive. We will hit this place again when we are in the area for sure!!!

My boss suggested that I try The Hungry Pelican for lunch, and I’m so glad that l did. As a vegetarian foodie, my lunchtime options are somewhat limited when I’m dining in downtown Snohomish. I usually head over to the Snohomish Bakery and enjoy a greek salad or grilled cheese. I have tried Grilla Bites twice and was terribly disappointed at the taste; quality and price of their food. Anyway, that is another review. The Hungry Pelican was a nice surprise. I ordered a cup the pumpkin coconut milk soup along with a half three cheese melt. The hostess was pleasant and helpful when i told her that i was a vegetarian. She suggested the pumpkin soup which was absolutely delicious! The three cheese melt arrived on fresh foccia bread and was a tasty accompaniment to the soup. My meal was pleasantly plated with an extra slice of fresh bread, a gherkin pickle and red grapes. All of this for just over eight dollars, a bargain! The service was quick and friendly. I definitely suggest giving The Hungry Pelican a try the next time you find yourself in downtown Snohomish.

Terra, the owner was so super nice and on top of our excellent service. They have all of these wonderful scratch made sandwiches that were delicious. The need thing is that you can get a bunch of smaller portions and try a bunch(which I did). The French dip was my favorite. We will be back.

Mismatched furniture, antique-y/vintage-y/country décor and home goods, friendly service. That’s what you’re gonna get at The Hungry Pelican. My grinder wasn’t the best grinder I’ve ever had, nor the most authentic(the meat ratio was off, plus, grape tomatoes), but it was fresh and made with love. Very Snohomish-like I suppose. Nice, down to earth place. Had I had more time I would’ve played a few games that were on the shelf outside. Loved the big wooden table with all the comfy, cushioned bar chairs. Thumbs up for this local shop.

The food is worth the wait! They have nice touches to each kids plate, which make them special. The macaroons are delicious with unusual flavors.

We love coming here for lunch! The owner/chef is so accommodating for our special food needs and young eaters. It’s a great place for a snack or full meal. Super fresh flavors. A chill, eclectic and relaxing environment. This hidden gem is slightly off the path a half block off of first street. Check them out for lunch or catering, she does an outstanding job!

The most amazing food and the staff is to die for. I have never had a bad experience here and I have been in many times! You can’t go to Snohomish and not stop in for a bite of the best food in town!

The best thing about lunch today was the company. The Pelican is a cute little place, the sandwiches are a bit overrated, but good. The bread is on the crusty, chewy side, the focaccia was close to croûton The tuna melt looked good, I’m told it was good. The Italian soup was also delicious. The bacon salmon sandwich could have used full sized flavorful tomato slices instead of pieces of cherry tomatoes. Sorry just far from wowed and based in the higher rating I had hoped not to be wanting for more. Tip– choice of fruit or chips today… fruit was 4 – 5 grapes… I felt like a heal thinking that was garnish(everyone got it, even those that chose the chips) when I asked about my fruit.

Pros: Great food Good service Cute location Friendly staff Excellent menu selection Cons: Not very many drinks to choose from Summary: I highly recommend this place for lunch, and so will many other businesses in town if you ask. They have a great lunch menu, with soups, salads and sandwiches. They also have canapes which are delightful and delicious. The staff was so friendly and the place is pretty charming. I was disappointed in the drink selection, but they did have an amazing drink called«Pelican Punch». I highly recommend this restaurant!

I have been in here a couple times for lunch. I have always ordered their daily chef special and have never been disappointed. I was at a friend house recently, watching the Seahawks, and the food she served was delish. Turns out, she ordered some platters from here. I am a local business owner and was hosting a small event so I decided to order boxed lunches from The Hungry Pelican. The prices are more than reasonable for what you get, and the owner and staff were so very kind and helpful. Everyone at my event loved the food. I will definitely be ordering from them again!

Swiss dip was bomb!!! My wife loved the canapés and the macaroons. I loved the tenderness of the roast beef and the way the chef rolled the beef slices individually and lined them up on the sandwich. Never had it that way and it was actually easier to eat and looked cool. Thanks for a great meal!

Stopped here while visiting from out of town. The ladies working were very friendly even making suggestions of other places to see and eat while here. I got the BLT and soup — an asparagus soup and my husband got the house salad and double deluxe. Everything was delicious and it was even displayed well. It’s came with cheese and grapes and a pickle too. Portions were a little small but quality makes up for quantity. Not ideal if you’re in a hurry but if you want a nice place for a relaxed lunch this is a great option!

I had the tuna sandwich and my son had the meatball. Both came with a few added touches such as a box vs a bag and pickle. The bread was excellent very fresh and crunchy. Interesting décor part dining room and part antique store. Prices are reasonable, I will be going back
