Ive tried to get a haircut twice here the last two days. Both times the place was closed during open hours. I went there at 10am on wed and thurs… it says they open at 8:30, but no one both times…

I’ve been going to Nick for years. Awesome guy, professional and experienced. If you’re not sure how you want your hair cut, just ask for the GPC, it’ll leave you looking fresh every time. And if you’re feeling ballsy ask for the renegade GPC.

Nick is awesome! I bring both of my young sons (ages, 5 & 2) to Nick to get their hair cut. He is so patient with both of them, and consistently gives them both a great hair cut. We tried all the kiddie hair cut places with inconsistent and sometimes terrible results. After we found Nick, we won’t go anywhere else!

I’ve lived in Solana Beach for over two years and finally found a legit barber shop. Nick cut my hair and I won’t go anywhere else after going to him.
Other barber shops that I’ve been to and haven’t been satisfied with:
–V’s (via de la valle)
–Solana Beach barber (near Panera Bread/​CVS)
–Solana barbers
–Dave’s
I went to Lefty’s in PB for 5 years and they always had very high quality barbers. I struggled to find similar talent in Solana Beach and the surrounding area until now.
I will now be recommending Bob’s Barber Shop (specifically Nick because I haven’t been to Bob) to anyone that asks where to go. Talented barber, old school feel with a couple new TVs for sports.

Nick is the man. Anyone who’s been there knows this. I think I’ll swing in today for a shave and a cut. It’s not just about the cut, it’s about the barber, and nick is about as good and nice as it gets. We always have fun conversations and he knows his craft well. Real well. Highly recommend.

Just tried this place for the first time today after walking by it for the whole summer. It was easy to get an appointment, but on top of that, the barber, Nick, was fantastic. Great conversationalist and an artist with hair. Definitely coming back in the future. It’s so much better than all those chain barber shops who are just trying to get customers in and out. Nick will cut your hair exactly how you like it, and if youre not sure he’ll help you figure it out beforehand. Highly recommended.

Don’t trust the «walk-​ins welcome» sign. I showed up at 10 a.m. on a Friday, the place was empty except one other person, and the barber told me that he had no openings until 5 p.m. When I asked how I could make a reservation, I didn’t really get an answer. It definitely looks like a cool, old-​school barbershop, but it also seems like a place that’s completely fine with its current clientele and makes no effort to welcome new patrons. I ended up going down the street to Solana Beach Barbers and they were totally solid, no wait, friendly. Bob’s may be a great barbershop, but guess you’ve got to be in the know or something.

My buddy told me about this place, said I should hit up Nick. I have to say I’ve been just about everywhere, and have dropped mad barbeque cheddar on salons, the whole nine.
Hands down this is the best hair cut/​experience I have ever had. Only $ 18!
Good people, good vibes. This is my spot for sure.

This is the place to go if your looking for an old school barber shop! While it’s a small shop, it’s perfect for Solana Beach. Bob and Nick are great guys and you’ll always have a great conversation with both. I’ve been getting my haircut there for about a year or so and am very happy. I’ll be going there as long as I’m living here :)
