The juice bar next door was good, I got a green lemonade. The lady who helped us here though seemed to be having a bad day. The place could use some help and care. My bagel was burnt. :/

Found this place while waiting to pick up the train in Solana beach. Great place. Lots of cyclists stop here for coffee. Outdoor patio as well. Service was friendly and fast. We had lattes and took some croissant egg sandwiches on the train with us. Great food, great prices, great service and so close to the train station. We will be back!

Cool place to relax, get coffee, and meet up with friends. The place is very open and atmosphere is relaxed. They are also supportive of the local cycling community. Inside and outside seating but all open. I usually go there once or twice a week to get coffee while out on a bike ride.

Went there this weekend and ordered a sandwich. It came with ONE slice of bread – open face tuna melt. I asked what’s up and one guy said«it’s special bread». We argued about charging me full price and the fact that I was never told it would be HALF a sandwich. He didn’t get it and told me that I should’ve ask that question. This is called THEFT. He said if I didn’t change the bread it would be 2 slices. WTF There are also NO prices listed on the menu which is also called BS! What are they trying to hide. I had to demand my money back after the guy defended this practice of hide the price and give half an order while charging full order… Breakfast burrito was lame too. AVOIDTHESCAM. I used to frequent this place but no more… there’s better places around.

Terrible service, terrible attitude from the teens who work here. Closes at 5:00 and at 4:10 the staff is mopping up and the espresso machine is cleaned and put to bed for the night. It’s been this way for 12+ years. That’s terrible management. Run, don’t walk, somewhere else!

4:30 on Saturday. I walk in ask for two pieces of coffee cake to go. I’m actually closed she says. Didn’t look closed to me. Guess they don’t need the business. In the time it took her to tell me she’s ‘actually closed’ she coulda sold me the coffee cake. Glad I’m not the owner, she’d be gone right now…

Great place to work if you telecommute on some days. Nice environment, not too noisy or crazily active. Convenient to «after work» treats at Pizza Port and Tidewater establishments.

Very simple Coffee/Breakfast place. Several veggie options which I always appreciate. I got the Irene which is eggs and spinach topped with Parmesan and an English muffin. Not a lot of food but just enough.

I have had way better coffee. I like that the Juice Bar is attached. The offer an array of snacks and although you can eat breakfast, I have read it better to go elsewhere and with T’s next door, why would you eat here? It was a great place to study back in the day because they have so much space and a huge outdoor space. Doesn’t get overwhelmingly loud as most Starbucks do. Wi-Fi of course. Just ok.

Dropped in for some hot chocolate and grabbed a bite to eat –eggs on a croissant. There was a GGI meetup that was taking place here — and though it was a bit of a 20~30 minutes drive, it lets me get some practice in driving longer distances. Parking was not too bad, I simply parked in one of the parking spaces right out front and after walking around, there is also parking out back. Free parking Sundays! Pretty ventilated place that anyone could walk in and out. Décor looked pretty nice. Paid in cash and got a #. Didn’t hit me that they would bring it to me until I walked up to the counter to check on the egg on a croissant that I ordered and they told me they would bring it to me. But my hot chocolate was sitting on the counter so grabbed that first. My group sat towards the back where all the relaxing chairs were chatting and catching up. The meetup was lovely and the back area that we were sitting at was a really nice area to just meet and get to know one another. After maybe 15~20 minutes give or take, I got my order and it was nice and warm. Hungry as I was, I devoured every bite. The interesting part I found was that they included 2 slices of a orange. Hot chocolate was very rich. Would drop in again if I was in the area but not like for a 30 min drive unless it was for a meetup.

Nope. First time here, good location lots of shady outdoor seating. Ordered two sandwich and two ice teas for $ 24? The bread on my sandwich was stale and my husbands sandwich had a large hair in it. Won’t be back and couldn’t recommend it.

I’m glad I had a gift certificate I purchased at a silent auction for half the amount it was worth. The energy in this place definitely needs a Feng Shuei consultation. Cold, dark and a vortex of low frequencies. Okay now on to the food, plain, overpriced, bland and nothing to mention. Service… none of that either!

Two stars because of the great ambiance, but the rest needs a lot of work. Employees should be trained to know how to actually make espresso drinks and they should stress the importance of taking a customers entire order and having them pay before jumping to someone else. I was helped by 3 different people for a bagel and an Iced White Chocolate Americano. I watched guy making my coffee pour cold brew in a cup then tell me «if I add white chocolate powder it’s not going to mix in.» So I had to walk him through step by step how to properly make one and then he burned the shots. Not worth trying to explain it for a third time. This place could be great if the employees had more experience in the industry/proper training.

BEST place to study. I sat outside on the patio where you can hardly hear the music from inside. Ate breakfast & had a blended white chocolate mocha. They’re also connected to a Juice bar which is convenient. I’ll definitely be back.

Hands down this is the worst café in solana beach. Avoid at all costs. Horrible baristas with attitude, terrible espresso, not worth it. Try somewhere else.

This could be a cool place, food was good… but service is very slow. It took 25 minutes to get 2 Turkey Club Sandwiches. After 20 minutes, I went to the counter to inquire about our order. I was told they were just getting started on it and they were backed up on orders. But, really the place was not busy. If you have time and are not hungry… it’s ok.

Mediocre… at best. We were too hungry to wait for a table at T’s Café so decided to try this place for a quick bite. Should have listened to the reviews. Good prices but stale food from Costco.(Maybe 2.5 stars.) Service was not good either. I asked for a folk and water and was rudely told they were up at the counter.(So downgraded to 2 stars.)

I’ve always driven by Java Depot on Coast Hwy and have been wanting to stop in for quite some time — I agreed to meet a friend here for a meeting and it was the perfect opportunity to grab some cofee. I didn’t know they had food and smoothies here too or else I would have chosen to grab lunch here too, but there’s always next time. I ordered a cappuccino and it was delicious. I’d love to try there food sometime. I noticed they also have WiFi and are dog-friendly. The staff is really friendly and helpful. I love the atmosphere, it really has that beachy coffee shop vibe to it. Looking forward to another opportunity to come by here and grab some grub. Another review soon to come! :)

This place is a nice coffee shop that provides some good coffee, but I do question the small size of their breakfast servings. I had a cup of their house drip coffee and the spinach and Parmesan cheese scramble with English muffin toast for $ 6. I enjoyed the coffee and had a smooth robust flavor. The scramble was okay, but the serving was quite small and it did not put much of damage on my appetite. They must use some very small eggs( ). The eggs did not have much seasoning so they suffered from blandness and the amount of Parmesan cheese was quite minimal, so much so that I hardly tasted it. So, I added some salt and peppers, and put the eggs between the two slices of English muffin and made the best of it( ). Another egg with this scramble would make it a decent size breakfast, and be generous with that Parmesan, its flavor is king. Service at the counter was alright, not as personable as I would of liked, but good enough. They also provide a variety of baked goods to enjoy with your coffees and espressos( ).
