Peets is as usual, tried Caneli, which are obviously not fresh. But this is half bad. Stepped in really to get something and read and wait for an oil change across the street. The young girl employee annoyingly kept asking about my origins, I answered 2 questions politely but not inviting to conversation, said that I am just waiting for an oil change. Then, rather than being let be, heard«So, how do you like it?» //“Oil change?”//“No, visiting? Must be different, huh?” …Not that it is anybody’s business, but the girl was not even born back when I moved … Please teach the employees some rudimentary people skills!

Great coffee spot! My girlfriend and I hit this place both nights we were in Solana. The coffee and service is great. She is a coffee junkie and said it had quite a kick. Great location too. I was able to park my big truck in the parking lot which seems rare near the beach. Clean restroom. They are walking distance from Fletcher Cove and The Belly Up Tavern so check em out when you are in the area.

An excellent Peet’s location, without a single drink error in the nearly 3 years I’ve been visiting. The staff is always friendly, and it’s obvious that they are well trained. Although the parking lot can be a bit of a pain, the spaces open pretty fast as the staff is pretty efficient at clearing out the line.

Great service, iced coffee was nice and strong and cold. I am not sure how to stretch out this review so I won’t.

I think Pete’s coffee just has a better product than other chains in the area. They were trend setters offering almond milk lattes as an alternative to soy and I think it’s funny that other chains have not caught on. It has been and still is my go to drink order when I buy coffee. Absolutely delicious. The staff are always friendly and quick on the orders. Space is clean and lively. Parking can be a bit of an issue during coffee rush hour in the mornings but if you can wait 3 minutes you can normally find something. Pete’s is also the only place I go for my French press grounds. I prefer the French Roast which is extra dark. Great way to start any day.

Be careful ordering the pastries. The young man working there said ‘the fruit flies all over the pastries were natural’ I guess they were enjoying them too.

This is the best of the best Peet’s Coffee houses in San Diego. The staff is super friendly and the vibe is always positive. Tom is fabulous and super friendly to me – to everyone. The whole staff is fantastic. I work in Solana Beach and this place is an awesome spot to take a break. Do yourself a favor and stop on by.

This is a cool Peets coffee shop located right near the design district of Solana Beach. The service here is solid and the product is as expected, good. The location itself can be a bit tricky to get into as it’s technically upstairs… Regardless, this is not a bad place to stop to grab a cup of coffee and/or tea. Pros– Service Product Outdoor seating Location Cons– Small parking lot Tricky entrance

Love this place :) It’s very cozy, very polite people working there and go there as well. I mean you can’t beat the ocean close by either. I had a dirty chai that was delightful but I did like the Almond Mocha it was DELICIOUS. Definitely, check out this spot :)

I love Peet’s coffee and was excited to have one open in Solana Beach. I have never been disappointed in the quality of the coffee or the staff here. My only complaint about this Peet’s is the parking lot. Very tight even with a smaller car and watch out for the 2 reserved spots that are on the left side in the back(as you are pulling in from Lomas Santa Fe). After 10AM, I think, they are spots reserved for the nearby nail salon, not for Peet’s customers. I parked in one at 9:45AM on a weekday and was back in my car at 9:59. Before I could even get settled back in my car and pull out, at 10:01am a woman in a HUGE Suv was waiting to get into the spot and rolled down her window to tell me to move my car as it is a spot reserved for the nail salon. She actually seemed really annoyed and I was only over time in the spot by 1 min! And I was getting ready to pull out anyway! On another occasion in this lot, I had a large pick up truck backing up while I was also backing up so I honked my horn(which I rarely do) since I truly did not think the truck could see me. The driver actually screamed at me to calm down already and said something about it being too early to honk your horn. I truly thought I was averting an accident and, seeing the crazy eyes on the woman yelling at me, made sure my doors were locked and drove of there as fast as I could. Last few times there, I made it out without any drama so I give 4 stars as I no longer think their parking lot is cursed! But it is a tight fit for most cars and pedestrians.

Delicious Coffee & teas! Coffee is soooo much better than starbucks. So many wonderful pastries & treats. I loved the lemon bread and the chocolate pumpkin bread. Great customer service here!

Peet’s beans are the best of any of the major US bean peoples, so that is a HUGE step in having good coffee! This particular Peet’s is a little on the slow side, which is a double edged sword I think. Positives first: unlike it’s brethren Peet’s you can nearly always find a seat. Downside? The staff are not always as quick to assist because they are not used to the flow of customers. Still, with the closure of Pannikin Del Mar, it is nice to know there is good coffee in the region still.

Perfect as always. I asked for extra whipped cream and they loaded it up. Plus some nice tea and coffee on clearance is always an added bonus.

I think everyone has kind of gotten over Starbucks, the only reason they are patronized more often than the other coffee chains, such as Peets is that they have the market cornered on locations. Peets is better by far than Starbucks. I love the gentle music playing inside. I LOVE that they have almond milk for an alternative option! that is HUGE to me! and to most people. A ton of people are moving away from dairy and soy products. I’m not sure why Peets is one of the only chains to pick up on this new trend, but I love that they did!

I like Peet’s and Peet’s likes me because they always make me a great coffee and then some. I came in for a Peppermint Skinny Mocha with a touch of cream.( ) I was really tempted to get a great looking muffin, but I used me Jedi powers and told myself I did not need one.( ) Tricky the way they put them right in front of you while you are ordering your beverage. At any rate, I hung out for a little bit and drank half my coffee before I left with the rest. The coffee, even though it was a skinny, it still had that peppermint flavor and rich chocolate with the scent of a coffee bean, here and there. Good skinny… As usual, the employees were great and so was the manager who came to inquire how my coffee was. The place was clean and well organized, and if you check in with Unilocal, you receive a dollar off on a Winter Blend Coffee… nice huh?

I’d drive(and have driven) an extra 25 miles to hit up a Peet’s rather than go to Starbucks so that’s where I’m coming from. They will(almost) always get 5 stars from me(except for the seriously unkempt location near UTC). The coffee at Peet’s is mellow and not burnt and they aren’t trying to sell you merchandise and crap all over the place. I don’t really like the exact location of this Peet’s although, because I’m a fan, the more Peet’s there are, the better. It’s actually not on Cedros itself(it’s just east of it and behind it, where the auto parts store used to me) and the parking lot is awkward but whatever. Peet’s coffee kicks the mermaid’s green tail any day.

My colleague mentioned this NEW Peet’s opened up so I was thrilled to check this out on my way home from the office today. Knowing the area, I was a bit concerned about the parking situation but have no fear, they have their own parking lot in the back, on the east side of Cedros. I came mid-day and did not have an issue finding parking. This may not be the case during peak hours… This store is much larger than other Peet’s — especially the one in Carlsbad. It has plenty of seating and I can actually see myself utilizing this space if I needed to jump on my computer to do a bit of work. The girls working today were FABulous! They were helping customers when I walked in but they made a point to greet me when I entered and were super nice when I got up to the register to order my drink. My iced non-fat latte was made perfectly and I was back on the road within 5 min of arriving. I’ll definitely be returning again soon!
