I had a total «Pretty Woman» shopping experience here the other day. This is a very pricey furniture store. I can afford it but I don’t always dress like it. I’d had a busy day making several stops and was dressed for comfort. We just bought a new house in the area and I’d never been inside this store and wanted to check it out. It’s beautiful and I was in love but the sales lady was so rude I’m not sure I’ll be back. I opened a door hoping it was a restroom and explained I wanted to wash my hands before touching any of the upholstery. The sales lady just grimaced at me and shooed me away from the door. Then I got scolded for taking a photo of a sofa with my cell phone. They are clearly frustrated with touristy types just browsing but missed a prime opportunity to gain a client.

I am so pleased with our new home. Susan Spath, of Kern & Co. is an amazing professional as well as a truly talented designer. Although I was living in Brasil at the time, Susan was able to make the most of my trips to California. She kept our home project on track and on budget. We could not have been able to do this without all her help and guidance. I highly recommend a visit to her beautiful store in Solana Beach.

Carol & their design staff are amazing! The will customize any home from top to bottom with the up most of white glove service!
They offer the most high end of fine fabrics such as Schumacher, customized area rugs from Patterson Flynn & Martin, and all luxury furnishings and accessories such as Marge Carson, Henredon, Drexel Heritage, etc.
A must visit for any of your home’s decorative and design needs!
