A small family style restaurant with great food. Carnitas burrito and tostada were delicious.

if you go to soledad, ca… or drive by… go to el camaron restaurant… the food is so good… yesterday i had fish tacos, delicious… camarones a la diabla… and nachos of asada… very good…

Half order (6) of oysters preparados, chicken enchiladas with green sauce and a side of guacamole. Wow! What a lunch. Next time will be shrimp enchiladas with their yummy green sauce. Get off 101 and get in there!

I had the special with one shrimp and one fish taco, it was my first time, It was delish! I live the sour cream sauce, cabbage and huge portion of guacamole.

Really good find on 101 road trip. Very friendly service. We had steak & grilled shrimp — very flavorful. Guacamole was delicious. Didn’t enjoy the tortilla chips, but everything else was great. We will go back on our next visit to Soledad.

We were driving through Soledad today and found this restaurant on our search. We were very pleased with the fast service and great flavorful food! We were a party of 6 and even though it wasn’t too busy our server was very attentive for us to feel comfortable. My husband like his molcajete, I got «bomb» fish tacos, and a ceviche de camaron tostada. The kids got tacos. The chips and salsa were great!

Wow! This food was incredible! If you like good Mexican food (and seafood) this place is one of the best! The salsa that came with the chips was smoky and just the right amount of spicy. We got their seafood plate for two and the portion size was very generous – plus, the food was so flavorful! We also were lucky to come on a day where they had a taco special (2 for $ 5.50). That in itself could’ve easily been a meal for one, great size and delicious. I highly recommend trying here!

Wow! Thank you Soledad for this place! Fantastic food, excellent service. For people who love REAL Mexican food, if you’re driving through then you must check it out.

So if you’re one of the locals, then you already know lol; but if you’re a tourist, visiting the local prison or something, then this is one of the few places we have to offer. They have some of the best food in town at decent prices. They used to offer a different special almost every day, but they recently got rid of that. I mainly go of the chavelas & the fish tacos. God knows they make one amazing fish taco. It’s a nice deep fried piece of tilapia with some pico de gallo & guacamole. The chavelas come in a pitcher with shrimp on the side, just the way I like it. It comes premixed, but it’s still very nice. And every table comes equipped with tapatio. The taco portions are pretty big. Each taco comes with two corn tortillas; and you can easily split the taco into two tacos, & still be quite content. The restaurant is small, but allows for the servers to be quite attentive. It’s a very small town so the servers are extremely warm & friendly. They’ll make your experience in town quite memorable. Best taco place in town, outside of the taco truck lol. Stop by if you’re passing through.

The chicken enchilada was good. My friend had the oysters, he liked them. The service was great, the waiter was fast. The music was good. I’ll go back and try a different dish.

An unexpected delight in Soledad! We were managing our expectations when we entered this small restaurant in this tiny town. We received a warm greeting followed by attentive service and tasty food. The friendly owner offered suggestions and asked how spicy we like our diablo seasoning. Everything was prepared to our liking and served piping hot. The salsa is homemade and delightfully picante. The portions were generous and worth the price. My «la diabla» shrimp was tender and flavorful and included beans & rice. We have added this to our list of worthy stops between LA and Bay Area.

Stopped here thanks to Unilocal on our way north. Highly recommend the fish taco and chile relleno. Hard shell tacos and tostadas were just okay. Chips were stale. Lovely staff

Stopped here on the way to Paso Robles Friday night. Salsa is excellent. They have a good selection of Mexican beers. I had the molcajete. It was very good and really enough for two people. My friends really liked their enchiladas. Service was good.

Wow, if you’re passing by and want to try the BEST fish taco, this is your spot! Amazing service and fantastic guac and salsa. I will be here every single time I come by. If you’re a local then you’re lucky. I wish they had this place in San Fran.
A MUST VISIT

I had a chavela and camarones al ajillo which were soo good. A friend found this place through instagram on our way to pismo beach. This is a great pit stop off of 101 freeway if you’re in the mood for some awesome customer service and mexican food!

The service from co-​owner Sergio was absolutely wonderful. The portions of the food and drink were extremely large. The enchiladas were good and 2 a la carte cheese enchiladas were more than enough for me. My wife ordered vegetarian fajitas and that portion was huge and we ended up taking two thirds of that back. The salsa has a mild spice to it which we liked. The guacamole was bland. The staff was able to tell us that their cooking oil was vegetarian but they cook a lot of seafood in it as well.

Ordered the regular chavela and it was huge. They have a chavela xl so I can’t imagine how big that one is. Also ordered the shrimp cocktail and it was the best I ever had. Good flavor and the waiter was really nice! I will be eating here again!

My husband has been following — El Camaron Mexican Grill for a while. We decided to come here for lunch before heading to Monterey. Best decision ever. The salsa was just the right of spicy. I ordered the Filete Relleno — filet cooked perfectly, stuffed with cheese, shrimp and octopus. My husband had a shrimp cocktail — delicious and refreshing. Do not forget to order a piece of flan for dessert.
This restaurant is not overpriced as some people have posted, worth every penny.
Now to talk him into coming back for dinner;)
