There are VERY few times in life when I would review a place because I don’t like it… normally I save my reviews for places & people that go above and beyond. Caren’s is the exception. We were looking for a tourist t-shirt for my husband. A tall, blonde woman marched into the tiny room to the front left of the building and proceeded to be the rudest person I have ever met in retail. Asking for a style of shirt that was hanging outside appeared to be an insult to her as she berated us that it was not the correct color for summer so we would have to buy a neon blue or hot pink one. When we said it wasn’t a color any of us would want, she was incredibly rude & inexplicably angered that we wanted a different option. She then stomped off into the back room and trashed talked me to everyone in hearing distance. Maybe she can afford to treat people poorly, but I won’t support it with my spending money.

I love this little shop. A little pricey but a fun eclectic boutique. I always pick up a little something.

I live 2 miles from Tysons Mall but wait until we’re in Solomon’s to buy all of my dresses and resort clothes at Caren’s. Her clothes are stylish, trendy, and well-made with excellent fabrics, many made in California, a rarity these days. I’ve worn the same dress with flip flops to a casual dinner and to the office with a bit of jewelry during the day. Caren has an eye for body types and will pull out selections of clothes that will look great on you, even if you wouldn’t have picked them out yourself. The store is full of clothes, fun to browse and has a charming dressing room to try everything on. And it’s rewarding to support local businesses.
