As with a couple of other tasting rooms in town, I walked in wanting to buy a bottle to bring home with us. Also like the other tasting rooms, I explained the types of wine we prefer, but unlike the others, I wasn’t offered a taste here. However, the lady who helped me did her best to accommodate our tastes and offered me the barbera at a discounted price. It was much less expensive than the other bottles I had picked up already so I decided to give it a chance. We finally found the occasion to open the bottle this weekend and it wasn’t bad but wasn’t our favorite either. I’d love to return on our next visit to Solvang to do some tastings and hopefully update my review…

Always fun to stop in at Toccata for a few bottles of my Italian favs. Wonderful wines presented in a comfortable atmosphere by a knowledgeable, attitude-free staff.

Nice place to go for wine tasting, decent prices. Really liked the Moscato Di Santa Barbara and toccata Classico. They have you standing, Would’ve been more comfortable and enjoyable if they have bar stools. I would’ve given 4 stars but service was so so. There was another group beside us and the lady was explaining the wine and taking her time to talk to them, while on the other hand they didn’t give the same service to us. Plus they gave us a wine glass that had lipstick stain on it. Eew. :/

A group of us went on saturday and the wines and service were TOPNOTCH! I really can’t say enough about how perfect the entire experience was. The servers were very educated in thier wines(and wines in general) which isn’t always the case when visiting other tasting rooms. The location was cozy and very inviting. The WINES were amazing and every single one of us said it was the best wine of the trip. Bottom line– if you like nice people and amazing wines, come here!

stopped in and did a wine tasting with the very nice blond woman that was obviously drinking on the job… not judging just stating a fact. she called everyone honey and described every wine with expertise and ease, we ended up purchasing a bottle and we plan to have it this weekend. they also have a small shopping area with cute little things to take a gander at. this is the only wine spot we stopped at, every other shop in the streets are wineries or wine bars so there plenty to choose from if you don’t like this place. I personally thought that almost every wine we tasted had a harsh after taste but I am no sommelier or any other kind of expert by any means. I will most likely try another spot next time I’m in town.

Best wines in the Santa Ynez valley come from Lucas and Lewellen’s vineyard! Toccata wines are amazing. Try the Moscato de Santa Barbara, the Sangiovese and the Freisa just as examples… You will be very happy with the choices. They have 4 different types of tastings, the all reds is the favorite, but all of the choices are wonderful. Cindy, Bonnie and Susan who work the wine room are absolutely amazing. Fun and happy personalities to go along with all that wine knowledge. I became a member right on the spot and have been happy for years now!

I’ve been here a few times for free tastings thanks to my friends wine membership. Italian wines is their specialty here. If you like red wine then I highly recommend you try the Lista Superiore tasting. It’s $ 12 if you’re not a member but the line up of these reds are fantastic! My favorite has to be the Toccata Riserva. Very mellow and smooth on the palette. I’m trying to get into reds more since its healthier and I can honestly say Toccata has some great tasting red wines! The ladies that work here are very attentive and informative about each wine they pour. Everyone raves about Mary being a sweet helpful server and I have to agree! Give this place a try if you’re in the area!

Literally the best Moscato wine I’ve ever had in my life! I just bought a case for half off for $ 130 and joined their wine club. Christy or Kathy is super sweet here! Wine tastings vary of $ 8 – 12 which isn’t bad and is definitely worth it. will be returning here every two months now to pick up my wine!

Italian style wines. Friendly staff who were knowledgeable and attentive. Decent wines. Received half off of our tastings because we went to the sister store Lucas & Lewellen across the street.

Mary is by far the friendliest wine tour guide ever, and knowledgable! Had a wonderful time exploring Italian reds, which were great! The Sangiovese was amazing.

Such a great experience with John at this Italian tasting house. I wasn’t a fan of the first wine(Pinot Grigio) but he was very persistent in narrowing down my interests and finally got me to a bottle I loved(2011 Sangiovese). Towards the end of my tasting, Bonnie joined in to help me out and they were both so knowledgable about wine and passed on wine tips. If you like your wines with a side of edu-tainment this is the place! Bonus is ½ off Lucas & Lewellen tastings, a sister property of French varietals.

Stopped in this little wine tasting home and met an awesome lady named Mary who was so friend and sweet. We did a few tasting of wines they had and must say we found a few that were off the wall. She also recommended this sister partner Lucas & Lewellen that was a few doors down and was impressed with their wines as well. LOVE the fact that they are kid and dog friendly and met many friendly dogs who loved being indoors with their owners!

We have belonged to this winery for about 5 years I believe. We came here back in the day when it was Mandolina winery. Run by the fine folks of Lucas & Lewellen who already make some of the best wine in Solvang this place seems to offer a lot of very sweet & light varieties which is why we became members! We receive a shipment once every couple months and always get great wine! The tasting room is cozy and adorable and has cute wine country tchotchkes for the buying. All in all a solid stop while in town for tasting and a perfect way to remind you of your trip once you get home is to join the wine club.

Italians do it best and this wine proves it! My hubby and I just became members even though it was our first visit, that in itself should explain the 5 star rating. Friendly staff, generous pourings, great ambiance… A little pricey, but comparable to the region. Sister winery to Lewis&Llewellyn(French wines) a block away. Wish they had given us wine glasses with their logo for signing up, but they said they didn’t have any in stock?!? Pehaps this was due to their recent name change… Check out their SWEET wines, you won’t be disappointed.

By far one of the best tasting rooms I’ve had the chance to partake in. If you stop by ask for Susan. She was excellent company and knows her wines. While Lucas & Lewellen is more of French grape origin Toccata is going to take you down the Italian grape variety. Thoroughly enjoyed the education and tasting process. Bought a couple of bottles(one red and one white). Some of the best tasting wines I’ve had so far in my wine aficionado adventures. Will definitely come back!

Oh, Toccata tasting room, you are a little slice of Italian heaven situated smack dab in the middle of Danish Solvang. My mother and I did a dessert wine tasting here in December. My only regret is not buying a bottle of each of the wines I sampled. Each one literally tasted like heaven in a bottle. I loved every wine. Oh, so lovely. Now I am currently unemployed… lost my job in September. Been kicking it hard the past few months for my next new work opportunity… but without a source of income, I could not justify buying wine most of the time. I miss their wine, so wish for it now. I can at least dream. I would come back for sure for another tasting. According to their website, they are pet and child friendly too.
