Great winery! All of the reds here are amazing. If you like port, Latcham has a great port and a great recipe for port chocolate brownies. :) They even recommended a neighboring winery for sparkling wines. A great place to visit if you are in the area.

Now that I am looking at their website(sold out, sold out), I am so glad I bought what I did! I couldn’t resist bringing home the Gold Rush Red. So delicious and ridiculously affordable. For a blend, it carries incredible depth and is perfectly balanced. It’s an every day wine but sophisticated enough to pair with any meal, get as fancy as you want. Keep your hand on top of the label if you don’t want to admit serving a blend with that filet mignon. However, don’t be surprised if your guests ask you about it after they taste it. Then you can brag about the price! The 2010 Sauvignon Blanc is bright and crisp. Sauvignon Blanc is one of my favorite varietals and Latcham knows what they are doing. The lemon and lime flavors are present but not overwhelming. I can not wait to take this with me on my next picnic. The brownies were sinfully delicious and I just now realized that I missed tasting the port, oh no! I would use that as an excuse to return, but I don’t need to. This winery is at the top of my list in the area. This was our second stop of the trip. I visited 15 different wineries in two days and bought the most wine here. That tells you something!

I bought a wine club membership for a Christmas gift for my husband. While the wine is always delicious, getting it delivered is a real problem. I have to contact them every other month to find out there the wine is and when it will be delivered. Not only that, but they do not respond timely to emails or phone calls. It’s been a very frustrating experience, and I would respectfully suggest that Latcham consider discontinuing their wine club if they can’t do a better job. Thanks.

Just out for a nice Sunday drive through Fair Play. Stopped at this winery and had a great experience. It was a cold, overcast day and there was a delicious stew in the crockpot that made the whole place smell amazing! We ate stew and drank wine and just really enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere was laid back like you were visiting a friend. All the wines were good and affordable. My favorite was Gold Rush Red, a blend that is easy to drink and has a sweet finish. I wasn’t a huge fan of their port, but I don’t like Petite Sirah. The brownie that went with it made it worthwhile though. Great stop for a relaxing experience.

Latcham Vineyards is one of my favorite wineries. I have been a member of their wine club for years. My most recent purchase, a 2008 Special Reserve Cabernet Franc, was a wine club selection and I loved it so much that I just bought a case. I’m also a big fan of their Zins and Gold Rush Red table wine. Wine club selections and discounts are great and customer service, on the phone or at the winery, is friendly and efficient. Go visit Latcham — you’ll be glad you did!

Definitely one of my favorite Fairplay desitinations. The brownies are mind-blowing and they pair wonderfully with their port. Heck, you should go there for this alone. And the white wine is one of the best in the region.

Was here for the 2011 Barrel Tasting and wasnt super bowled over with the wines here. The cab franc was delicious but I have to admit at this point in the day my palette was shot! I had heard the Port here was very unique… I tried it and I guess I am just not a Port fan but my friends really loved it. Really friendly staff though and will provide recipes for yummy treats they recommend for pairings! Really sweet place!

Friendly, personable, enjoyed the wines. The 2007 Zin is worth buying(we did). Gold Rush Red great value, will be awesome on the patio, entertaining with friends and enjoying with barbeque. Glad we were told to visit.

Friendly staff, very nice wine. Gold Rush Red & White are some great everyday wines. They had a zin that stood out as one of the better zins I’ve ever had. Port was nice as well. Good stuff here :) Also, a membership here is a great idea, because they have a sister winery that you can also use your membership discount at.
