A party was going on in the back where we were seated. Our food was not as good as it should have been for the price. The manager was rounding tables, but only if he knew you. My fish was greasy and my husbands burger was about as good as a fast food joint. Our waitress either had tables both in the front and back or she just kept going up to see people at the bar. We refuse to go back here again and waste our time and money. $ 40 For a burger and fried fish that wasn’t even good is not worth it.

Good place, good friendly service. Had really yummy pasta with shrimp and Alfredo sauce. The Alfredo sauce was great — it wasn’t too thick; was nice and garlicky. Shrimp were cooked well. Hubby had chicken parmigiana(huge); he ate it all and was very happy with it. Walking distance from the Holiday Inn Express and they give you a 10% off coupon.

In town for 3 nights for a weekend college class with ACM. One of the others in the class recommended the place(biased because she works there as well) so we tried it out after the Saturday’s class was done. Glad we did. Not a fancy place, just a normal, friendly atmosphere. Had some of the best seafood alfredo in a while and I’ve had alot, including making my own at home. Nice combination of shrimp, scallops and crab. The chicken club sandwich was nice as well. Kind of hard to mess up a club but it was a full sandwich, good flavor and plenty to serve as a leftover for breakfast today! LOL. I’d say give it a try, you will like it.

It’s not bad, but too inconsistent. At one point, I thought it was the best restaurant in Somerset, however that last time I had a «skate» fish entrée that grossed out my entire table. They are still talking about how foul it smelled and it was honestly, just really bad…

This is a regular stop for my wife when she drives between Annapolis MD and Pittsburgh PA. I joined her on a recent trip and we stopped for lunch. The restaurant is clean and pleasant but nothing special. My wife had a wrap and I had a burger. Everything was as ordered but again nothing special. Service, despite a pretty empty house, was slow.

This place is really growing on me… they hit it out of the park again today at lunch! On top of the pastas we had the other night and loved… today at lunch had the best grief chicken salad I’ve ever had(and I’ve had many). Nice mix of greens(picked off tomato and cuke) with crispy fries and chicken done to perfection! To top it off — the best ranch dressing ever! Husband got prime rib french dip and loved it. Again the service was so nice and out the door for around $ 20. Love.

Headed back to MD from Ohio from thanksgiving weekend and being a little annoyed with traffic and feeling a little bit hungry my family and I decided to get something to eat, so I decided to use Unilocal for some suggestions. Pine Grill came up so we decided to stop in as it was really close off the turnpike. Quickly greeted and seated. Nice selection of food and very reasonably priced. The burger I ordered was very flavorful, nice size portion and cooked exactly the way I wanted it, but didn’t come with any sides but I did order some fries which were also very good size in portion and flavor. Food came out in no time and was able to get back on the road quickly. Service was great and food was awesome. Definitely stopping by again on our next trip.

Stopped on a drive between Annapolis and Cleveland. We sat at the bar and had a great Black and Blue burger and good potato skins. It was welcoming and the service was efficient and friendly. We would stop here again.

The Pine Grill is a very quaint looking restaurant that was probably built in the 1950’s with pine paneling, and a very interesting look inside. My wife had the vegetarian chili and I had the low fat pasta with a Caesar salad, or at least that is what I ordered. The vegetarian chili was very good. My pasta was not. There was hardly any sauce, and the vegetables appeared to be pre-frozen. Now for the entertaining part. Our waitress did not bring my Caesar salad. She came to the table to ask if we wanted anything else, and I informed her that she did not bring my salad. She also did not bring the bread. All the tables around us had bread baskets. She said she was sorry and that she would go get the salad. After some 15 minutes or so, after we were both finished, she again asked if we wanted anything else. I told her that we would just take the check, and she could just take the Caesar salad off the bill. She said she was sorry and left for another 10 minutes. She dropped off the check, I looked at it and there was a line called Motel Discount of 10%. When she came to pick up payment, I asked her why the salad was not taken off. She said that’s what the 10% Motel Discount was. She then said«I can definitely take off more if you want». I told her to just take off the cost of a Caesar salad. She said it was $ 4.25. After another 10 minutes, she returned with the revised bill, with $ 3.79 off. At that point, I just wanted to get out of there. She also never refilled my drink. There was a pretty good crowd, and many appeared to be local. Also, it looked like the other wait staff seemed to be more on the ball. If you do decide the try the Pine Grill, I would read the other reviews carefully to find something that they specialize in, and hope you get a competent server. Oh, one more thing. The mens restroom had a hand written note on the door warning that the sink had no water. Not to worry, as there were three small sanitizer bottles in the sink with just enough in one of them to sanitize my hands. I suppose the person who wrote the barely legible note was also in charge of procuring the sanitizer bottles.

Just had a very nice lunch. The chef was very helpful with good allergy concerns. The fish sandwich, onion rings, and chicken salad were all very good.

This place has gone downhill as far as the wait-staff. They screw up every order and it’s because they don’t write it down. If I have to tell a waitress that I want something more than once, I get pissed, and I don’t tip. If I’m paying $ 50 for a meal, it should be close to perfect. The table of brats next to us didn’t make our dinner pleasurable either.

My experience was certainly an average one, but a good average one. I walked in and was seated almost immediately and my complicated drink order(water) was taken. My water was brought to me, by the hostess and shortly after my waitress had arrived. She came up to the table and seemed upset that I had already received my water and mumbled something, so I awkwardly laughed. I said, I could use some time to review the menu, which was not too intimidating. I noticed it was pasta night, so I figured I would get some pasta. Unfortunately, the pasta I wanted and my two back up pastas were out. Being that it was about an hour before they closed, I was not surprised. Now to the food, I was pretty hungry so I ordered the chicken quesadilla appetizer. It came out and it was 4 small triangles of a quesadilla. They were tasty, but next time I think I will keep the 5 bucks. I decided to order a crab cake sandwich for my entrée. The sandwich came out and it was nothing impressive, crab cake on a kaiser roll with lettuce and tomato, nothing less nothing more. It had a nice taste, but I’m pretty sure I could have eaten 4 of them. Overall, the food was pretty good, but the vibe was weird off the get go. I would imagine an early dinner or lunch visit would be well worth it. It has a very down home feel to it, some may call it outdated, but I liked it. I will say, my favorite part was when the hostess came up and asked me if I enjoyed the drunk man laughing at the bar. We laughed, we shared a moment together and it was beautiful. Anyways, it is definitely worth the visit if you are looking for a place to sit down and get a bite to eat.

We were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the veggie pasta(linguini) and a chef salad. The waitstaff is nice. I see they have about of fish on the menu but wasn’t brave enough to try it. Decent prices and the portions are not too big.

Stopped by while traveling and had a fantastic experience. The server was knowledgeable, kind, and very prompt. Had a fish sandwich special for lunch. It came with mac and cheese and stewed tomatoes. The mac and cheese was tasty with a bit of crunch and the stewed tomatoes had a hint of a sweet taste. The sandwich itself was impressive-large and tasty. I would definitely come again.

Not too shabby. Decent food that’s worth the price. I had pierogies that were real and the smoked pork chop which was quite good but a a little overdone. The mashed potatoes had that nasty style light brown gravy though so I scraped that off and used the pork’s mustard sauce. Need’s a bit more for the beer menu

Sat at the bar for dinner, great friendly service. Had the meatloaf reminded me of home. I was a little concerned since I asked at the hotel and they had 10% off business cards at the ready but fear not, I’d come back again!

Wife and I where staying in a somerset hotel because pittsburgh was booked with convention business. We ended up eating a Pine Grill rather than Mickey Ds or Eat n’ Barff. We ate steaks and let me tell you: Probably the best steak I’ve eaten in 20 years. Cooked to perfection and the flavor was amazing. We had a disgusting old cold baked potato and fries. Stick with the fries you’ll be ok.

We were staying at the hotel across the street and they recommended we eat there. I wish we had looked elsewhere. We had the calamari which had more deep fried pepperoncini rings than calamari. My husband ordered the fish special, I believe? Or else it was te cod dish. Either way, it was crappy. The fish was mushy and had no flavor. The vegetables were decent, but the rice that it was served with? HORRID! And I like rice, even plain rice, but this didn’t have the basic salt or pepper on it. It was just rice on a plate. I ordered the Portobello Salad which should be renamed the Sun-Dried Tomato Overload Salad. I couldn’t find the portobellos anywhere. There was about one cup of julienned sun-dried tomatoes, some lettuce some cheese, definitely NOT worth the price I paid for it. Here’s the kicker. The waitress ignored me ENTIRELY! I wasn’t halfway through my salad when she asked my husband if we wanted dessert. I still have about 15 minutes of eating left to do when she brought the check. Considering I paid the bill(which she then returned to my husband) there was no tip to be had. Crap food and RUDE service? NOTHANKYOU! DONOTGOHERE! Find another place to eat, or eat at McDonalds. They’d serve you better.

Ya, after visiting this place for a second time, I’ve got to go one star. I think McDonalds has better service. I never set out to dog a business, but my goodness it’s bad. The manager should get a «sturn talking to» just for allowing this crap to happen. You basically have to beg for a glass of water, no one can make a simple Sprite and vodka, and the food is over cooked every single time. I ordered a chicken club this time thinking I was playing it safe. Gross. My coworkers didn’t listen to me and both went with the steak. They were smothering it in ketchup or steak sauce just to get it down. I wouldn’t reccomend this place to anyone. Stay away.

The hostess threw our menus on the table, complaining to other staff while we sat down. She then walked away without saying a word. I had the triple cheese manicotti that was freezer burnt around the edges and warm at best! The waitress only came to the table twice, I could have had more water! This restaurant WAS good but service and food quality has declined!
