This was my championship coed beer league Sunday slowpitch softball team’s post-game bar of choice. Is it the fanciest bar in the Greater Boston Area? No. And that’s not what you should expect when you step foot in this place. Instead, you will expect a surprisingly solid pizza, an impressive selection of unique beers that are also available in pitchers, and friendships that last a lifetime. If you’re not open to any of those, then perhaps this isn’t your joint. But if you want good food and drinks in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere that makes you appreciate life’s best moments, then give Casey’s a try. You might be pleasantly surprised. Also, they have video poker, which is cool if you have some extra dollar bills in your pocket that you would’ve otherwise placed into a paper bag and lit on fire.

Came to grab a drink cause my friends said it was a good spot in somerville when I came in with a friend the staff was rude an oblivious to us As Soon We STEP thru the door. We felt wouldn’t recommend it to anybody. Really classless

I come to Boston once or twice a year. Always stop here before flying back. Steak tips are fantastic and not duplicatable. Order size is large and prices fair. Service is great even with only a bartender working.

Our favorite neighborhood bar and not just because my name is Casey. Started coming here to watch basketball but we just keep coming back for the food, the beer and the people. My personal food favorites are the grilled wings, pizza, and, of course, the steak tips. Nothing fancy, just well made bar staples and happy people.

Casey’s is what a neighborhood bar should be. It’s divey-ish but looks like it has been renovated within the past few years — and that’s a good thing. Gansett on tap — and cheap — makes me happy — as do the DAMN fine steak tips. Also give you a free bowl of freshly popped popcorn to pair with your drink. Friendly(without being TOO friendly) bartenders. Ladies’ bathroom is large(three stalls) and clean, which I appreciate so very much:) Looking forward to checking out their trivia night at some point soon!

I stand by my original review, I do however feel the need to show a bit more love. Casey’s is the last line of defense in Somerville. You won’t find another bar that’s as come as you are, as Casey’s. The more I spend time at yuppie foodie bars, the more I really enjoy the peacefulness of ordering a shot of whiskey and a bud bottle. The familiar songs coming from the jukebox, the the muted Fox News on the tv. Casey’s is a place to truly remind you of where you actually are.

I stopped w a friend and based on the reviews on Unilocal,I guess I expected more. It’s true about all the TV’s(w sports) & neighborhood vibe being cool. I just didn’t get it as the staff seemed oblivious to the customers(us) I didn’t see any mention of steak tips much less a menu. We had the munchies so we left after one beer and got quick Chinese Food next door. I don’t know what else to add.

Went here on Sunday to watch the Pats after two other bars up the street were at capacity. Glad we ended up here since this place was quiet but jovial and had the best steak tips I’ve had this side of Broadway. Ya heard?! They were better than The Pub and better than On the Hill. Yep. I do think the rice is better at On the Hill though. Our server was nice and it was definitely crowded and he was a bit slow at a few times but still a great server. I sipped on four Cranberry, Soda Water and Limes throughout the afternoon and had a great time. Bonus points for the bathroom being very clean! I big bonus. I didn’t know what to expect when I saw this place and have seen it for years and driven by. Now, I feel like an idiot because I would have gladly come here over the years for these steak tips. See ya soon, Casey’s!

Came here during the East Broadway Foodie Crawl and tried their pizza – too sweet for me! Second time this has happened to me in Boston and it’s never happened before – so confusing. The live band was pretty good.

Checked out the band Hot Sauce every Tuesday… they rock the oldies. But they stopped a few months back. Now it’s sooo sloooow.

Irish food is a best. I really dont understand what is going on with all those potatos and beer jokes. The irish really know how to have a good time. I also was not the only gingie in the room which was nice.

Great atmosphere, good prices, and friendly staff. Forget Davis Square and go to a real bar, Casey’s is where it’s at!

Beer wasn’t too bad, didn’t try any food, bartender seemed nice, but the clientele was a bit … interesting.

If I want to get drunk and eat some bar food in East Somerville, this is the spot. The chicken fingers are the best-big strips of actual chicken, not processed parts. I also liked the nachos we ordered-they were topped with delicious beef chili, cheese, and were very generous in portion size. The chili here is really good too, and you can’t beat it-a bowl of chili with cheddar cheese is a whopping $ 4. I’ll be back for that during the cold weather-nothing beats a bowl of chili on a cold day. The pizza is really good here too-nice and greasy if you need something to soak up your beer. Cocktails are reasonably priced and the staff is really friendly. They recently did some renovating and the place looks much nicer than it did before. They usually play classic rock, which I appreciate. Casey’s also participates in the East Somerville Main Streets Two for Tuesdays promotion, and you can get two appetizers for the price of one when that is running. They also are very active with the local community and East Somerville Main Streets and clean ups, which is great.

My Go To watering hole. Bartender Billy is my FAV! But I love John, Mario, Cash and on occasion Michael. :p The upgrades keep making the place look better and better. Still need the hand dryers in the bathroom because the paper towel situation stinks. Plus the toilet seat which are new keep coming loose. Really? FIXITALREADY! Hot out of the oven pizza smells like feet. UGH! Especially smelly on Thursday nights after the runners club and rec ball come in. That being said I love Casey’s. I walk in and I am immediately greeted by someone I know and that is priceless. Plus they carry my Heineken Light. WOOHOO!!!

I live right down the street from these guys, and they received the majority of my business during the recent Bruin’s Stanley Cup run. The beers are cheap(get the pitchers!), and the food is unreal for a bar — the steak tips are incredible and the buffalo fingers are perfect too. Good amount of TV’s throughout this place, I’d highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

Steak tips. Really? Have you had them yet? No? Really? Why not?! Honestly, «hole-in-the-wall;» and I don’t truly want to review it because I don’t want my secret to be known. but I want to add it to my list so I need to. Townie, for sure. Older crowd, for sure. Does it bother me, absolutely not! My friend S and I have become friendly with some regulars and would almost just like to consider ourselves«honorary temporary semi-permanent regulars.» Do I go at all hours/any hour? Yes, I’ve gone at any time of the day or week you could say to give the broad term of how great of a place it is. $ 8 pitchers, amazing steak tips(the menu is great as well but I am just obsessed with their tips) great crowd. TV’s for sports, you’ll definitely find me there for Sunday football; and good music on the weekends; some throw back jams and new stuff. Great spot, I can’t give enough positive feedback on Casey’s. Staff is exceptionally friendly and I just love them all! Everything about the place.
