This place has a straight cheese steak which, for some strange reason, can be a tough commodity in Somerville. This is a good go-to sub shop for the neighborhood.

Royal is great. I mean, the food isn’t spectacular, but it’s hot and great for the price. I used to love eating here with my girlfriend, but we moved to Cambridge, so they’re now too far away and also don’t deliver to out area. As long as you’re close by, it’s definitely good for a night when you fucked up on the grocery shopping.

This place is just down the road from my place and I like being able to stop in grab something quickly. It’s a family owned restaurant and I love that. My experience has always been nice here and their food is good! Get the Steak Bomb!

This is a small mom and pop pizza place. Not gourmet. Expecting anything else is unreasonable. It is somewhat chaotic in there around lunch time, so if you call in an order speak loudly and ask for them to confirm it or your chicken kabob wrap(probably the best thing they sell) might end up as a chicken parm sub.

Best things to get: buffalo chicken calzone, buffalo chicken wrap, or any sub especially the Italian or chicken Parmesan — all 5 star. I definitely recommend if you haven’t tried or are looking for a good sub or delivery place.

Is not bad, the people who’s working there, their behavior is not good, and sometimes the prices different when you order from them by delivery.

I go here for lunchtime for the chicken bomb/steak bomb. Or a small pepperoni. All very good. I was told they make very good salads as they’re veggies are Fresh. I’ve yet to have some though. Very busy at lunch and parking is very limited.

OK pizza place. Pizza was a little over greasy, but nothing a napkin dab couldn’t fix. Very mom and pop kinda place. Not expensive($ 1.93/plain cheese slice). Would come back if I was in the neighborhood. Not a lot of seating, so not good for big groups(5 or more).

I ordered a cheese sub, and I got a sub with 1.5 slices of provolone cheese. When I asked for extra cheese, they added one additional slice of cheese. So, I basically ate a hoagie roll filled with shredded lettuce.

This is a great a pizza place! We were staying across the street at the Holiday Inn read the reviews here on Unilocal!before deciding to order. The pizza is very good and fresh — the broccoli on mine was gorgeous and not frozen previously! Service was excellent also!

I work right across the street and eat here more than I care to admit. The chicken-kabob wrap is a must have. The fried chicken dinner is unreal. The pizza is decent and the steak and cheese is also really, really good.

Do yourself a favor: get something with the chicken kabob. The best marinated chicken kabob/tips there are, bar none. Something about the amazing Greek-style lemon-herb marinade and the perfect griddle cooking makes it irresistible. I recommend the Chicken Kabob Salad(with great homemade Italian dressing), the Chicken Bomb, or the Chicken Kabob Wrap. Really can’t say enough about how great the chicken is. Solid menu offerings for other classic New England sub shop favorites and cheap, good(if not great) Greek pizza.

I love this place. It is literally right around the corner from me and it’s a friendly Mom and Pop place. The food is really good and they deliver FAST! They are always nice on the phone when you place your order. Try the Calzones, they’re wonderful. The only negative is they’re closed on Sunday.

I order from here often because it’s in my neighborhood. I love the plain chicken wings, they’re fried to a crispy golden yummy-ness and the batter/flavor is similar to wings you’d get in a chinese restaurant. We get the chicken kebab sub with fried onions, pickles, american cheese, salt & pep and a little ketchup and mayo on a toasted sub roll and the chicken is always moist and never dry, and they ALWAYS get my order right. We also get the meatball sub which is good. I don’t really like their chicken parm because the cutlet they use processed chix instead of chix breast. The fries are decent too. When we’re feeling lazy we do delivery which is pretty quick. Ordering on the phone is easy to because they speak English(I’m not trying to be rude but in many of the restaurants in my neighborhood it’s hard to order delivery because on the phone they don’t understand my street name, Brighton St, and then when the deliverer inevitably calls on the phone, it’s impossible to communicate directions and takes forever.) The service is great, when we do pick up we some times sit at the counter and talk to the workers who are always pleasant and friendly. This is my favorite sandwich place in the neighborhood. You’re not going to get fancy-shmancy ingredients or recipes but for traditional subs it great.

I work pretty much across the street from this little hole in the wall and am so glad it’s there. I usually get the Chicken kabab sub, which is fantastic. The place has been a staple in Somerville for business types for a long time(being across from the holday inn) and when you call in an order it does not take long to get ready.
