Went there for lunch and wife and I had sword fish tacos and carne asada tacos. Both were delicious and plentiful. For desert we had a trio of crime brûlée which was out of this world. Our waitress was fabulous and the chef even came over to check on us. Nice nice place Best of all didn’t have to drive around looking for parking as they have their own

I would like to write a positive review, but I cannot. As a business traveler I often eat alone and I like to treat myself, but the vibe here was«Single Women Not Welcome.» I asked for a table and though it was very early, only 6p on a Tuesday night with barely anyone present, I was told to take a seat at the bar. Where I was ignored. And ignored. I finally had an order taken, and had an excellent steak frites and a glass of wine from an interesting and extensive list, but getting a water glass refilled or ordering a second glass of wine was impossible. May be a good place for a group or couples, but forget turning up alone. Not for the business traveler I guess.

I love this place! Their cocktails are delicious & their risotto truly hit the spot. The service was great, our waiter was the sweetest, I forgot her name but she has blonde hair & is a tall woman. Totally recommend this place:)

What a wonderful experience from start to finish. The mushroom risotto and truffle fries were absolutely delicious! Atmosphere was perfect. Highly recommend a visit for the Epicurean.

Bad service, flies and tasteless food We went there for Sunday brunch 2 weeks ago on a strong recommendation. The place was empty. We were largely ignored by staff, who seemed to be on a back up crew, and it took forever to get any service. Our friend ordered a mocha, and received old black coffee instead. There were flies everywhere. The blueberry pancakes were good, the other food items not. We couldn’t wait to get out of there.

Casual transitional décor and very open. I had the Classic Eggs Benedict and was not disappointed with this classic. Staff was prompt and friendly.

We came here for lunch on Saturday of Labor Day weekend. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. I started with the daily seasonal soup. It was a piping hot(the way I like it!) corn soup with a little spicy heat. I really enjoyed it! My main course was the Mary’s Rotisserie Chicken Breast on a bed of Risotta of Connie’s Mushrooms & au jus. The chicken was very tender and juicy. The risotto was rich and very flavorful. A perfect complement to the chicken! All four of us were very satisfied with the food and the service here. We will be back!

We’ve eaten here three times now over the past few months, and have never been disappointed. Consistently great food, with creative recipes and good portion sizes. The staff, from the servers to the bussers and the greeters all offer great service. The menu is a little pricey, but this is Sonoma. If you are local, let them know and they will offer you a discount.

Went to get a drink this evening at Carneross Bistro. Ambience was lovely service was ok as the bartender had to tend bar and wait on us. The best part of the visit was an AMAZING Fig and Prosciutto goat cheese pizza. It had a balsamic glaze was a lightly dressed arugula salad. It was just perfect. I don’t love pizza but this was more like a delicious flatbread. BRAVO

Amazing service, amazing wine, amazing food. The bartender was friendly and knowledgable. Atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. The filet and halibut were perfect. It’s the perfect place to stop when just driving through. I would recommend this place to anyone and will return if I am ever in the area again.

Nestled next to the The Lodge at Sonoma, a Marriott Renaissance party, is the cute Carneros Bistro. Stone building thats updated with a brilliant open kitchen, full bar with TV and a great California inspired menu. Convient location off Broadway just a few blocks from the square. The bistro also offers plenty of parking in the private lot, an Outdoor patio dinning for larger parties or events and a wine list by glass or bottle with corkage at @ $ 15. As its off the square, I usually have no issues with finding tables for my large party after a day of wine tasting. ADDEDBONUS –Ask about their locals discount during weekdays!

Finally found a place that’s upscale and relaxing in Sonoma. Quiet and not crowded like the tourist spots at the square. Food is good to great depending on the dish. Want to come back for their wood fired pizzas. Coffee and eggs Benedict were great.

Part of the attractive Lodge at Sonoma Renaissance Resort, Carneros Bistro is a gem for locals and visitors alike. Upon entering, diners can chose from a nice, open formal dining room, chef’s counter, or the bar /lounge area. With its white linen clad tables, the dining area is nice, but foodies will want to hit the chef’s counter for a good view of the culinary ballet from the team of executive chef Joshua Murray. For a more casual vibe, hang our with Brandon, the resident mixologist, in the bar area. The menu is comprised of standards with a California flair. With saffron potato, arugula, house pickled peppers, and salsa verde, the house grilled octopus($ 15) is awesome. With just the right amount of char, the meat is still tender and moist. Served with a rich red wine sauce and parmesan truffle fries, the Niman Ranch hanger steak was excellent. Cooked in the oak fired oven, the sirloin burger($ 14) was juicy and delicious. Also from the wood oven, the Molinari salami pizza($ 16) with roasted peppers, olives, and feta is one of the better pizzas in Sonoma. Service is friendly and attentive. Water glasses are refilled when needed and used plates are removed rapidly. There is a good wine list with numerous selections by the glass and even more by the bottle. There are four beers on tap, including Pliny the Elder(!). For a casual meal or an elegant evening, Carneros Bistro is a good option in Sonoma.

The Carneros Bistro is part of the attractive Lodge at Sonoma Renaissance Resort. The dining area is comprised of a large room with a small bar and also an outdoor patio. The dining room is very comfortable. It has a contemporary décor and is furnished with white-cloth-covered tables and booths. The patio is nicely designed, stylishly furnished, and surrounded by beautiful landscaping. My wife and I stopped in for dinner. She had the shrimp and grits and I had the halibut with Israeli cous cous. These selections were expertly prepared with extremely fresh ingredients and were delicious. We both very much enjoyed our food, and, actually, my halibut dish was one of the best I have ever had! Our waiter who was friendly and very competent provided unhurried service. We had a wonderful dining experience at the Carneros Bistro and very highly recommended it for its superb food, excellent service, and enjoyable setting.

I had breakfast in this place for the entire two days I stayed at this hotel. I purposely didn’t post any pictures in hopes that you could come and experience the meal that I had. It was so good I had to return the following day. Tuesday morning I stopped by and was immediately greeted by a woman who seated me for breakfast. A waiter asked if I wanted a Mimosa, Bloody Mary or other beverage. As wonderful as that may seem for some, I was hungry for one thing and that was Buttermilk Pancakes. The waitress came by within a few minutes and offered me a shot glass of a berry smoothie. Tuesday was Strawberry and Wednesday was a mixed berry. My pancakes came hot(which is rare anywhere) maybe because I was one of a few people having breakfast and not at work. It was drizzled with powdered sugar and the edges of the lightly brownish pancake was a little bit toasted but the entire pancake was soft. It had a sweet flavor to it but not overwhelmingly sweet. The maple syrup wasn’t heavy but light enough to pour and warm my pancakes. The(3) pancakes on my plate was warm, sweet and very delicious. I would recommend anyone in Sonoma to check this out on a weekday morning!

I’m not sure why the subpar reviews are for? We had dinner here Saturday and went in with our eyes open after seeing the 3+ average rating, we were actually looking for issues. We didn’t find any. From the orchestration that Executive Chef Joshua Murray held over the kitchen to the delivery and finally(most importantly) the quality and taste of the food — everything was top notch. We had dinner at the chef’s counter — overlooking the service and watching Chef Joshua expedite — Gordon Ramsey would have been proud. The food: — Wood grilled Octopus — was great, no complaints at all. — The salmon pastrami — also amazing and a great take on a smoked salmon dish. — Shrimp & Grits — this was the stand-out of the night. If you like shrimp & grits, you NEED to order this. If we would’ve been at home we would have probably had seconds, thirds and probably would have licked the dish. All in all, couldn’t have been happier — Chef Joshua, you’ve got a great team and we’re looking forward to our next visit.

My husband, son, daughter and myself went last night to Carneros Bistro. Decided to give it a try as we’ve been to many of Sonoma’s restaurants since we live in town. Cocktails were lovely. It took over a half an hour to receive our entrées. A bit long considering it wasn’t a full house. I ordered the salmon with qinuoa and kale. The salmon was ok, too much qinuoa and the kale was drowning in oil. My husband had the Niman Ranch ribeye. He said it was a 7 in his opinion, my daughter had the duck two ways which she liked. Her only complaint was not enough vegetables. Our son ordered the lamb which he thought was good. We have eaten at many of the restaurant s in town since we live here. For the $ 240.00 we spent it should have been better and quicker. For that amount we’d rather go to El Dorado Kitchen or Saddles.

I was looking forward to dinner tonight as I had heard great things about Carneros Bistro. I tend to always order the special and tonight was no different. I was excited to hear from my server that the Salmon with pasta was the special . When my server placed the dish in front of me I realizeed that upon further review it was Trout. I know fish as I order it quite frequently and this was Trout!!! I asked my server who assured me the kitchen said its Salmon. My guests and myself disagreed. Sometimes I wonder if restaurants lose their integrity all together just to make a dollar. Don’t think I’ll be coming back as I don’t like the bait and switch operation that I was subjected too
