Wow! Great sandos! Friendly Service! After 4 hours on the I-80 from Truckee(traffic SUCKED that Sunday all the way from West Sac!), we were starving and Unilocaled this place… really tasty sandos in this family owned/operated little place. I had a warm chicken sandwich with chipotle mayo, pepper jack cheese, roasted red peppers — yummy! I also had them add avocado.(they forgot to put it on and I paid for it but after the first bite and I noticed that the avocado was missing I went back inside and not only did they put some on, apologize, and the person who forgot to put it on even OWNED it, they refunded my $ 1.50 that I paid extra for the avocado!) Great customer service, folks! My husband had their Reuben sandwich and really enjoyed that, as well. Will remember this place, and have already told others about it…

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat on our way home from reno! Long drive, deserved a sando! Fresh bread, they only had sliced breads left(im guessing the rolls are good!) it was so quick, taste was great. 8 $ for. Sandwitch, not too bad, they have a huge selection of side salads, pre made sandos, some side options like devil eggs, salami, and cheeses, drinks, and even wine and beer. Highly reccomend u stop sometime as your cruisin by! Pick up a treat before you hit the wineries!

Unilocal let me down on this one. This place is really not good. I just wanted a quick sandwich for the road and got their signature club. There was no one else in line and it took 20m to make. It had raw onions, untoasted bread and no condiments. :(

I had not been here in a few years, but I stopped by for lunch yesterday with a coworker. Great sandwiches, fresh bread, wide selection of meats and cheeses. Great spot in rural Sonoma! There is even a patio for outdoor seating.

This is the stop to make when searching for food to soak up all that wine you’ve tasted or are about to embark on what may feel like an endless amount of wine TOUR. The sandwiches are solid– the deli meat is great and you don’t have to worry about shouting out your complicated order of a sandwich– you can grab a paper menu on the counter and circle what you want on your sandwich so as to avoid forgetting an ingredient or spread. The store also has a lot of other snacks to choose from… including wine.

This is a great stop for your wine trips when you want to pick up something good to nibble on. They have the most delicious sandwiches and everything tastes so fresh. The women working behind the counter are so nice and friendly and always greet you with a smile. They have a great market that has just the right amount of everything you may need for your day of exploring or relaxing.

Excellent sandwiches but a tad bit pricy. The sides and cheeses look good and things to take on picnics. I stop in when I come back from client visits in this area.

Rude service, pricey and mediocre sandwiches. $ 20 for 2 sandwiches and a water. Won’t be doing that again.

Waiting for your sandwich to be done before being able to pay for your sandwich is ludacris. This place has decided to trade customer experience and convenience for margins.

Wonderful customer service– didn’t feel rushed, and the Sando was great! and when I forgot my card there they ran out after and got it to me before I left the parking lot. 1. I had a turkey/Salami –butter-cheddar/provolone, Pepperoncini– lettuce– pickle 2. Friend had: ham — Swiss– butter– pickle Both sandwiches were very good I just has a little bread left over after devouring the Sando. Cheetos on the side and a Yerba mate beverage to wash it down. I’m full but not so full that I can’t move; ’twas the perfect amount of food. I’ll be back again. You can get a free sandwich if you download the app on your phone. That’s pretty awesome! There is no indoor seating so when you order its to go… A place I can recommend to all my fellow Unilocalers for lunch on the go. I’m not«Hangry» any more. Thank you.

Conveniently located along the main road to make a quick stop. The staff was friendly and provided quick service so we could maximize our wine tasting time. Four of us were in and out of there in less than 10 minutes! I LOVE sandwiches and appreciate it when my sandwich is loaded with ingredients just like this deli’s sandwiches. Totally worth the price for the quality, quickness and convenience!

This is a perfectly fine sandwich stop if you’re making you’re way up to wine country. Situated at the 121 and 116 crossroad(next to the gas station), the Carneros Deli doesn’t exactly look like much from the outside. But don’t let the exterior deceive you — they’ve got a full-on deli(replete with a wide variety of sandwiches(hot and cold), salads/side dishes, and beverages for take-out). The deli even has a wine tasting area in the back. Got to love wine country! For my immediate purposes today, I just needed a quick fuel-boost as I traveled back from Sonoma to Marin. So I ordered ½ roast beef sandwich on wheat bread. Was it the best sandwich I ever had? No. But the bread and tomatoes were fresh, the meat was hearty, and they didn’t over-do it with the mayo(one of my biggest deli pet peeves). And for just $ 4.99, this mid-afternoon snack certainly satisfied my hunger pangs. While waiting for my sandwich to be prepared, I saw that they were selling a 4-pack of deviled eggs for $ 3. I couldn’t resist. And you know what? They were actually quite tasty. I washed it all down with a bottle of water. All in all, my impromptu lunch cost me less than $ 10. I would certainly come in again if I was planning a wine country excursion. Carneros Deli is definitely a serviceable spot for all your picnic needs.

I have been driving past this little road store since I was a child when we would drive from St. Helena to San Francisco. I recently started stopping as a pit stop. They have sandwiches, salads, cheese, salami, chips, beverages, little treats etc. The staff are really friendly and down to earth. They even do some kind of wine tasting thing here, i’ve seen something about that in the back. There are a couple of things I don’t like. I feel like this store caters specifically to tourists and couples, which makes sense as they are trying to find people to buy wine from there, but it would be nice if there was some kind of appeal for locals to keep stopping in. For example, if they had gluten free bread to make sandwiches on, I would go there at least once or a week. Or if their stamp card/sandwich card allowed two stamps if you showed you lived in napa or Sonoma county, since this little place is basically right at the line between two counties. At that point, this would make this place a bigger appeal and easy to recommend.

I usually get the same thing in the morning I would have gotten from McDonald’s for breakfast(but a Way, Way, Better version). Sandwiches are delicious and made with good ingredients. It’s a great stop on the way to wine tasting if you’re a visitor. They also have a little bar where you can tasted their wines. Sadly they do not stock half and half(see Fruit Basket review).

I needed to stop and grab some coffee & breakfast before heading back to SF. I saw Carneros Deli and decided to stop. I was with my family, so we got a bunch of breakfast sandwiches. Bacon, egg, and cheese on croissants. Ham, egg, and cheese on English muffins and wheat toast– all to die for. The scrambled eggs were so fresh! So was the meat in all of the sandwiches. The croissant was delicious too! My mother got a coffee and said it was great. The woman that rang us up actually said the coffee was on her, which was a nice surprise. The staff was unbelievably friendly. They could tell we were from out of town and made nice conversation. The place had everything from fresh sandwiches, salads, to plenty of other things on the lunch menu. Most of the ingredients were local. I wished I found this place sooner because I would have made more trips while in Sonoma. They have plenty of other snacks along with beer, wine, and soft drinks. Definitely stop by this place! Highly recommend it!

Well, that sure was tasty! Stopped in for a sando after a day of wine tasting. My hubs got the club, I got the chicken chipotle. Chicken chipotle won :) Definitely worth a stop on the way to/from napa and sonoma. We ate on the patio. Great way to cap off a day in wine country!

Great deli to stop in on the way up to Sonoma or if you’re crossing to Napa(it’s on the corner of 121 and 12). They have a wide range of sandwiches, snacks, wine and beer, as well as pre packed salads and sandwiches. Yummy and we found them super friendly! We stopped at Angelo’s a few doors down first, but it is pretty limited if you’re looking for picnic/snacks for wineries. And all meat – the jerky is good but if you’re looking for something lighter or vegetarian there are no options there. No cheese/crackers either
