Good little spot to grab something quick. They offer wines by the glass which is a nice little addition to any sandwich. They also offer a great selection of olive oils, cheeses, & jams to take home. Coffee bar & ice cream are available as well. Nothing to write home about but it does the job.

Great selection of food and assorted goodies, and a special shout-out to Michelle and her staff for their willingness to accommodate our group of fourteen after we toured the nearby di Rosa Museum on a showery spring day. We had a great experience!

Even though this place is a bit pricey, the selection and freshness of items is good. Also, the café offers unique gift items and one of a kind things that are not everywhere else. Just this month, The Sonoma Valley Sun voted Sonoma’s Best as the place to get good wine. I’m not surprised because this little spot along the road is a good place to pick up stuff for that picnic outing in the country. Ideal for tourists. For locals it is a good coffee meeting place. I know because since this January I’ve met clients at Sonoma’s Best three times. Each cup of coffee or tea is made fresh one cup at a time. The atmosphere is cozy, charming and welcoming and service is good. On nice weather days the patio out back is among the best outdoor seating areas in town. Next time I go back I want to get one of their fresh made sandwiches. Each time I have gone in recently, the aroma of something wonderful being bake or toasted has called me to wonder into the deli section. When I do go back. I will be posting.

The sandwich was fantastic. Great place to grab a bite to eat while out and about in Sonoma. Highly recommended, plus the staff was very friendly.

This deli is located due east of Sonoma’s main square and it’s a nice little market shop. My wife and I stopped in for lunch and sat in their back patio on a sunny day. I had a mozzarella panini and the wife had the pasta salad and chicken salad. All the dishes were just ok. The mozzarella panini was standard, and the two salads were good but nothing special. This is a nice little market to have lunch and pick up some snacks, so if you need a bite to eat it will get the job done.

My friend lives right down the street from this place. Their espresso is really good. I had a drip coffee that was mellow without being weak. All the drip coffee is hand-poured.

It was an OK Panini although it was way overpriced. The woman behind the deli counter was not friendly, she could have at least smiled!!! I was in & out in 5 minutes, a vast improvement over my last visit. Warning about Sonoma’s Best, the deli Paninis are blasted in the microwave before going into the Panini grill, that process makes the bread inside soggy & wet if your Panini has veggies in it. I must say that the worst part of my experience were the FLIES… the lil beggers were everywhere. Too bad … I’d have stayed sat down and ordered a drink with my sandwich, but… erghhh the flies!!! Every time I go there the place is buzzing with flies.

What a neat place. I had a delicious cup of coffee while my mom and son did some wine tasting. I love all the wine kitsch and all the fun specialties they offer. Cheeses, gelato, deli sandwiches. You’ve gotta stop!

Place is awesome. They know their wine and you can tell they love what they do. No fancy expensive stuff(well maybe a little), just delicious well priced wines! Im now a wine club member because of how impressed I was!

This is my favorite place to stop whenever I’m in wine country. If you’re lucky enough to do a wine tasting with Tom you’ll love it. He is a great guy and has a lot of knowledge of all of the area wineries. They have a large selection of wines and excellent prices. The deli also serves unique and delicious food.

I took a trip there. And it was beautiful! We stayed out first night in the Fall and second in the moon cottage. I definitely enjoy the fall cartridge more it was bigger. We went wine tasting. The cottage gives you a list of 25 complementary vineyards! We went to three and that was enough. Before leaving it’s nice to pack a picnic and then go and enjoy the wine! The cottage also offers bikes! There is a store in front with everything inside! Oh Gail the owner was beyond helpful. I called her many times and emailed her. Each time she replied right away and said they can’t wait to have us. Extremely satisfied with this place and their customer service. !!!

Not sure why this place is so highly rated. We had ordered 2 small coffees here and it took a while for her to make it so we were expecting a lot of love in that coffee. That expectation was met with coffee dripping on the sides of the cup and something that tasted pretty middle of the road. I don’t get it. Maybe the food and wine are better but if you can’t even get two small coffees right, why would anyone come back?

Love the food here particularly the chicken Gruyère onion panini. Went 7 miles out of my way to get that panini and was here at 5.01 and they wouldn’t let me buy anything. Fuckers. Like another 3 minutes of work is going to kill you and the other 3 employees there at the time.

I actually didn’t want to come here but my husband insisted and I’m so glad he did! I got a chicken pesto panini and the tomato bisque. It’s delicious. Perfect pit stop! The coffee looks great too. Thank y’all!

The best wine store in Sonoma… Tom finds truly wonderful unusual wines, then prices them fairly. The deli is likewise excellent. Well prepared creative foods, not inexpensive but the quality justified the prices. Incredible coffee choices and a very broad selection of cheeses.

The food here has been on a steady decline since we started eating here about 2 years ago. Such a bummer because we live close by. They must survive on lots of first time tourists. Our last visit was the worst. The food is just not not good anymore and the person making out sandwiches spent 5 minutes barfing in the bathroom before coming out and finishing our plates. Gross!!!

This place is super surprising. The sandwiches are outstanding. Their bbq pork sandwich in particular is a must every time I go to Sonoma. They’ve got great local products, both packaged as fresh(e.g. cheeses). Expensive, quality stuff, but I always leave with something delicious. They’ve even got a great beer selection in the fridge(including some heavier stuff, not just the usual cadre of CA IPAs). It looks questionable from the outside, but it’s the perfect place to pick up some sandwiches, brews, snacks, and dessert for a picnic in Sonoma.

Don’t let the beer and wine category fool you! Not only do they have alcohol but also have a small gift shop and deli. They offer great coffee, pastries, deli sandwiches, soups, hot dogs and even homemade strudel(in the freezer section). They have peaceful outside area with tables. It’s very clean and well maintained. The prices are high, but that is to be expected since a lot of their business is from tourists. They also have guest cottages in the back. Don’t expect the employees to be very friendly. My boyfriend and I like to stop mid-morning and sit outside sipping coffee and munching on the morning buns. We also enjoy the hammer, which is gluten free(in the pastry case).

This place can best be described as a general store, I think, parts gift shop, wine bar, café, art gallery and gelato stand. It’s way off the beaten path — about a half mile east of the Sonoma town square. I had a pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw and a pistachio and caramel gelato. I also got to taste a pastrami sandwich and the potato salad. All of the food was great. As a bonus, bottled beer is just $ 2 — Midwestern prices right here in wine country! Woohoo! Due to their neighborhood location, parking is easy, but be careful about taking your beer too far away from the building. I had to move to a closer section of the patio due to some kind of town ordinance. I get it, though, Sonoma is still a pretty quaint little town and they want to keep it that way. Do be sure and stop by Sonoma’s Best if you’re in town and have an extra half hour or so.
