Knowledgeable people and great fresh seafood at standard pricing. This is our go to seafood place.

Recently purchased two pounds of shrimp, and a number of Stuffed Quahogs, to serve as appetizers at a recent get together. First things first. When you hire foreign students for the Summer months, please make sure that they can speak English(or, at least enough to get by in a position such as the one that this woman was in). This woman, had no clue about what she was selling, and could speak about four words in the English language. Needless to say, she could not answer any of our questions, and there was no one else around to help her. Oh, but wait… sadly enough, there were a number of men in the back hallway, who worked for Chatham Fish & Lobster(who we could see), but we gather that they didn’t feel like helping her(or, us, for that matter). Nope, they were too busy carrying on with one another about the Red Sox, what they drank the night before, so on and so forth. That aside, when we spend over $ 40 for two pounds of shrimp($ 19.99/lb), we expect them to be fresh and tasty. They were not only small, but they did not taste fresh, and were very fishy to the taste(and, smell for that matter). We were mortified when we tasted them along with our guests. Our guests quickly started looking at one another, and ALL of them asked where the trash can was located, in order to dispose of these pricey shrimp. As embarrassed as we were, we couldn’t blame them. On to the Stuffed Quahogs($ 1.99 each). If you are looking for breaded stuffing for your next event, you’ll love these. There were literally NO clams(even traces of clam bits, strips, etc.), to be found in any of the Stuffed Quahogs. We certainly will not make the mistake of purchasing anything from this place again. Shame on these folks. Honestly, we’ve bought better seafood from Shaw’s and Stop and Shop(and, for less money). Do not recommend by any means!!!

We read some reviews for this location in Dennis that made it sound like you could order gluten-free seafood, but apparently that’s not the case. This place is inside of a supermarket and is just a seafood counter that serves chowder. We even called and inquired and they mentioned there were picnic tables to eat. We saw the picnic tables, but unfortunately there was no delicious fried gluten free seafood to eat. I believe the Chatham location is a full restaurant, but this spot in Dennis definitely is not.

I always buy my fish here! I have priced them with almost every major place specializing in seafood and they are always right in range or lower. They always have great clams here!
