I’m listing this as one star only because –5 is not an option. I called in a to-go order –the woman who answered the phone demanded my phone number, and took my order for a seafood salad sub. I arrived at the restaurant, waited in line and was charged $ 15 when I gave my name for the to go order. I was then handed a paper bag with a plastic tub with some lettuce and what apparently was some Lobster meat. When I explained that this was not the large seafood salad sub I had ordered, the lady behind the counter told me that seafood salad was not even on their menu. When I further explained that the person who took my order over the phone didn’t say that they didn’t have it on the menu she just shrugged, and asked if I wanted the lobster meat on a sub roll. Seeing as I had already paid and was not looking forward to going through the procedure for a refund, I said yes, took the sub home, and opened the package to find a couple of lobster claws and some lettuce on a bare sub roll. Normally when I have a bad experience at a restaurant I don’t complain– I just don’t go back, but this experience was far beneath d’angelos normally mediocre standards, and outrageously expensive to boot –so I’m venting! My advice: give this place a hard pass.

Using their App it is a breeze to order your food and when you get there it is ready to go! Very good sandwiches to fit most tastes. this is a Cape Cod institution.

This was not good. I ate an Italian sub, and had I not been ravenous I would have thrown it in the trash. There was far too much meat,(which I would usually be psyched about), the actual cuts of meat were bland and under seasoned, the vegetables were watery and flavorless, and the bread was cheap and disappointing. How could you fuck up a sandwich? If the goal was to produce food that tastes like sadness, then I would give D’Angelo’s 5 stars. However, this is earth. And when I pay for something I expect it to taste good.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I usually go every weekend to pick up sandwiches for my family to take to the beach with us. Unfortunately, there’s always been a mix up. It’s usually not a bad one– forgot tomatos, or wrote the wrong names on sandwiches– so it’s fine. Today, they really pushed my buttons. The manager, I think his name is Pat, is rude. He always gives me attitude if I ask for something, one time he made me pay for waters when I ordered/paid for them with my sandwiches online! Today I waited 15 minutes for my online order because they never put it on the tray where they normally go. I asked the jerk manager and he gave me attitude about how I was supposed to tell him I was there to pick it up. Never go there. The staff clearly doesn’t communicate well. If you’re okay with that, and rude managers, then have a blast. Otherwise, stay far from there. I’ll never go back.

I ordered a lobster roll last Saturday night. Got very sick. I do not recommend this place, even though I like the chain. The wait staff and management were at each other’s throats too– you could sense and observe tension. But the main thing was getting sick. Not fun.

This place is always a hit or miss, so to speak. We used to be pleased with the sandwiches(stopping in at least 1x at week), but on our last visit, we ended up walking out, as one of the crew members making sandwiches, wiped their nose, then proceeded to scratch their head, with the sanitary gloves on, ANDTHEN continued to make the sandwich, without washing their hands and/or changing gloves. When we asked to speak with a Manager regarding what we had observed, we were basically dismissed and spoken to rudely. Disgusted.

Very disappointed! I ordered online, as I have done many times before via . Order that was to be ready a half hour later was probably prepared immediately as both hot sandwiches were warm at best. My cheeseburger wrap had no cheese, hardly any lettuce(which was bagged lettuce with preservative taste), no ketchup or pickles that I had ordered. My boyfriend picked up our order and he said it took 5 minutes for 3 people to figure out if the order was ready. Seriously! I am not one to complain but it’s either this location or D’Angelos has gone way down hill. Try another location or another sandwich shop.

D’Angelo’s is D’Angelo’s. This location gets a bonus point for service from everyone on staff. They have Ring Bros/Harney’s dang near right next door with premium cold sandwiches, so they have to stay on point. And they do. The #9 is the legendary steak sandwich. I like the occasional tuna salad sandwich and they do it right without a lot of mayo. Their bread is MUCH better than Subway.(I hate to even mention that chain, but there it is. Subway is all over the place on the Cape now.) One thing I don’t understand is the lobster salad. I like D’Angelo’s too much to try that and then be disappointed. We know no one is steaming lobsters there, so what is that stuff? Does it come in a big 5 gallon tub from some factory? I appreciate the Buy a Lobster Sandwich, Get any Sandwich Free deal that they offer if you register your loyalty card, but I’d rather see a money back guarantee for that particular sandwich. Meanwhile, I’ll stick with the #9(and the occasional tuna salad — for my seafood).

The BEST steak and cheese sub in the world. Not to be confused with cheesesteak, because it is made with actual cheese rather than cheez-whiz. Get the #9 — comes with grilled mushrooms and peppers. For an extra kick, I recommend mustard & mayo — a truly satisfying sandwich!
