SeaMist Medspa

I have been getting laser hair removal treatments over the last few months at SeaMist and am so happy with the result! I’ve struggled with this for years now but am seeing a major difference and my confidence is skyrocketing. This is truly thanks to Ellen and Shelly who make me feel comfortable and at home whenever I come in. It is warm and welcoming yet private and clean like a doctor’s office. I’ve recommended SeaMist to many of friends for the chemical peels, which are wonderful. Great place, love it!

One star is too much owing to a lack of customer service. I was told my office appointment was 4:30 but upon my arrival, was told my appointment had been scheduled for 4:15. The office staff stated they had confirmed my appointment twice with my friend, yet they had not confirmed anything with me. The nurse practitioner/​owner came out and told me the office closed at 5pm and I could not be accommodated. This was said to me in a condescending manner. She also said is was not «appropriate» to have my children with me because it was a «doctor’s office» and they had «needles around.» The latter comments were ironic, as I have a doctoral degree and my husband is a physician (who does not have needles lying about his office). Unfortunately I can not comment on the quality of the care/​services provided, however based upon my reception and the attitude of the nurse practitioner (not a «doctor» as she implied), I will not be seeking any further care, nor can I recommend them to anyone.
