I have been going to Maurya now for about a year and have had haircuts and foils done and have always been happy. Today I went in wanting a new look, and unfortunately I did not express the cut I wanted correctly to Maurya. She did the cut I told her to do, but not the one I saw in my head. To say the least I was disappointed. Maurya was wonderful! She fit me in an hour later and was very patient with me and made sure that she understood what I was looking for. She started over and did a great job capturing my new hairstyle. I left feeling wonderful and commend her for making sure I was happy with my hair even though it was my miscommunication that caused the problem. I would highly recommend Spa Thayer and Maurya. They want their clients to be happy with their experience there and that is very refreshing!(I also love that you can make your appointment online anytime, so if you remember you need an appointment at midnight, you can still make it and check that off your list!)

I got the«lactic plus peel» facial just yesterday, and I see fabulous results already. A real, visible glow — my skin is also smoother after just one facial. Kelsey was fantastic — the spa is beautiful & clean!

My boyfriend and I were visiting Narragansett for a week long vacation and ran into some rainy weather… we passed Spa Thayer and decided to book appointments for deep tissue massages. We both were lucky enough to have Brooke as our massage therapist(we went one after the other). If you like a firm massage, she’s your girl — I never wanted my session to end. She was professional, friendly but not too talkative, and has hands of magic!!! The spa is clean, the music was perfect, and everything down to the receptionist who greeted us was delightful. Plus — you cannot beat the price — $ 85 for an hour deep tissue massage. We will DEFINITELY be back!

I have been to Spa Thayer twice in the past month or so and cannot wait to return. My first service was a spa pedicure with Mariah and it was wonderful. The fixtures are new, the colors are soothing and the presentation is simply elegant. My second service was a 120 minute massage which was performed by Debra. Again, the heated towels, the thorough firm yet gentle expert touch, the aromatic scrubs, the hot stones… my skin felt so supple after this treatment. I wish I could go every month and just writing this review brings me back to that relaxed state. When I was there, the spa was running a special and I purchased several more services. I think I shall become a regular! Highly recommend for anyone who needs a little pampering…

I came to Spa Thayer when on vacation in RI hoping for a nice, relaxing experience. Booking the appointment was easy, the staff were very friendly, and when I arrived the place looked super cute and relaxing. Unfortunately, my treatments were disappointing. I got a facial and a massage — the facial was okay, but she didn’t really do much in terms of extractions. I usually like this somewhere in the middle — I don’t want someone squeezing my face for an extended period of time, but I want to get a good cleansing. I will say this was pretty relaxing though, minus the huge AC unit that was in the room making a bunch of noise the whole time. I got my massage next, and at this point the AC was turned off because the room was very cold. In retrospect I think I would have preferred to keep it on and deal with being cold because without it, I could hear everything going on throughout the spa. Doors slamming repeatedly, phones ringing, everyone in the reception and manicure area. It made it impossible to relax throughout the entire 90 minute massage so I was pretty disappointed. The massage itself was just okay — it certainly wasn’t bad, but not the best I’ve had at all whatsoever. This all being said, I have definitely had my fair share of spa experiences in the past and while I certainly do NOT consider myself a spa snob, I have been to places much more pricey and perhaps that’s why I’m used to a quiet environment. Although in general, I do think that someone paying $ 200 for spa services should have a quiet environment without paper-thin walls. I chose Spa Thayer because it was cheaper than my other option, and unfortunately I regretted it and wished I paid a little more for a better experience.

The spa has been opened for about a year or so. I had never been to Spa Thayer, but had passed by it so many times while visiting other places in the pier. The spa itself is small in size, but they offer full services(hair, waxing, nails, massage). I also like the décor, lots of lighter neutral colors = very calming experience. I was in desperate need of a massage, so I figured to give it a shot. I ended up scheduling an appointment with Elizabeth, and she is fantastic! I had tons of tightness in my neck and back, and this was exactly what I needed. They may be a bit pricey for a massage compared to some other places, but due to being right in the Pier Marketplace it is technically a «touristy» area. Next time I need a massage, I’ll definitely be back.
