Delicious food. The bartender was sincerely friendly and gave good advice on menu items. Drinks are served in mason jars with handles. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her pineapple fried rice with chicken, the crispy wontons were great, and my garlic choy with chicken(extra hot) was amazing. Make sure you try the sticky mango rice, as that too was delicious!!! We will definitely return to this place again!!!

The pad see ew is delicious, unfortunately I swung by to pick something up after working a long day around 9:30 pm on a Sunday. The open sign was lit yet the door was locked, and only after an employee saw me checking the closing time did the signage turn off and the lights were dimmed. The posted hours say the closing time is 10:00 pm online and on the door, I will not be going to this location again.

The Thai restaurant I usually get take out from was closed so I tried Tong D as its close to my house. This place is great. Delicious chicken pad Thai, spicy beef & eggplant and veggie lo mein. But my favorite are the fresh rolls — definitely give them a try.

1– Food: The food is fantastic. I have ordered lunch special both time I have been there and it was great. The only complaint I have is that I ordered ginger tea once and being at a Thai restaurant I was expecting fresh ginger tea but I got a tea bag! 2– Environment: Super great. I love the interior and it is good for small or large parties. They have a big space and very well decorated. 3– Service: The waiters are very polite and professional.

Had a big to-go order for seven last week. Food was good– no surprises– and the service was prompt even with the size of our order. Liked the interior when I picked up the order– will be coming back to try dinner service soon.

This is a review for the takeout. I got the pad thai with vegetables and crispy wontons. Perfectly cooked, great flavor profiles, and its frankly nice to finally have some great thai food in South County. The pad thai portion was huge and the total only set me back 20 $ with tip. Huzzah. I’ll be back.

Had veggie pad Thai lunch take out here based on friends recommendation. The place is beautifully decorated with a cool bar, a budda and a large horse statue. It’s just cool. Can’t wait to go back.

My boyfriend disagrees with this rating, he thinks I should give them a solid three but for me, this place wasn’t God-awful but I’ve definitely had way better. Ambiance: Quiet, spacious dining room with high ceilings and lots of room in between tables. Food: Fresh rolls: Totally bland, all I tasted was the iceberg lettuce that they stuffed inside. They also had very little tofu, carrots or vermicelli… come to think of it, the fresh rolls were basically just rolled up iceberg lettuce. Tom Yum Soup: Flavorful but not as spicy as most other Thai places. Crispy Pad Thai: My understanding of the dish was that it would be half crispy noodles and half regular pad thai noodles. Turns out, the dish consists entirely of crispy noodles, which, once I got over my initial disappointment, really grew on me. The flavors were wonderful and it was very tasty but just be aware that there are NO soft noodles in this dish. I give them lots of credit for this highly original concept and the unique textures represented in the dish. Holy basil chicken with coconut rice: Ground chicken was a little dry and the egg on top was cooked through. I’m sure if that is how it was supposed to be served but regardless, a runny yoke would have done wonders to moisten the dish. Service: Our server was a well-meaning college kid who I suspect was hard of hearing, which made communicating about the menu and our order difficult(hence, my misunderstanding about the crispy pad thai dish). In sum, my boyfriend said that he’d go back again but I think I’m all set.

I went to this place and their Thai food is okay. I got pad Thai and a few appetizers. The pad Thai was not as good as Luk Thai and the appetizers were okay but did not wow me to come back to the establishment.

This place is amazing. It is the second location for this restaurant. The foods are so fresh and delicious. Chicken cashew nuts was so tasty. My father has soft shell crabs in curry sauce and he loved it. Definitely come back soon!

I walked in at around 8:30pm on a weekday. There were no other customers in the store. It looked clean and new. They had some Thai drama playing on the big screen. Most importantly, they had a FULLBAR. I ordered the organic green salad. It came with mixed greens, three slices of tomato, three slices of cucumber, one sliced hard boiled egg, and crispy rice noodles and little strands of carrots piled on top. There were two cups of miso dressing on the side. I really liked the salad, but the dressing was a bit too nutty for me. 4⁄5 I also ordered the sauteed chicken and garlic choy. It was so delicious! This dish was chicken breast. However, it didn’t taste dry or tough because it was thinly sliced. It was so tender and juicy! It was topped with little crunchy bits of fried garlic. The sauce was perfect. It had flavor, and didn’t taste oily at all. *kisses fingers* It also came with bok choy, napa cabbage, mushrooms, carrots, zucchini, and squash. You can select the type of rice you want. I chose coconut rice. It was sweet and yummy. I ate it as if it was my dessert. 5⁄5

I’m visited Tong-D for lunch. Their lunch special prices are pretty good. It comes with an appetizer, salad and entrée. I got the mango curry, the Tom yum soup for the lunch special and an additional appetizer of crispy spring rolls. To drink I got a Thai iced coffee which was really good. The Tom yum soup was very tasty. The crispy rolls were ok, and the mango curry was good but the curry was a little bland. The portions are average for a spot that I think is going for the fine dining feel. The only thing I didn’t like is that I didn’t have the option to use chopsticks.

I think the food here is ok, but overpriced for what you get. I ordered the fresh rolls and two curry dishes and the bill was almost $ 40. Given how much the(simple) ingredients cost this is a huge markup. The fresh rolls(summer rolls) did not even contain any of the usual shrimp and pork and were quite small. The curries(green and red curry) tasted pretty standard, although my green curry was on the sweeter side, and I usually prefer it to be a tad less sweet. There also wasn’t much tofu in my dish(the protein that I chose for the curry). Pros: the service was great, and you have the option of ordering either regular steamed rice or coconut rice. The coconut rice is delicious, but it’s also pretty sweet and tastes more like a dessert to me… I wouldn’t want to pair it with the(already sweet) curry. I doubt I will be coming back, mostly because I feel the menu is overpriced.

Spacious restaurant with clean, sleek, updated décor. Sunny windows, smooth jazz playing in the background and a unique full-sized pieced wood Horse sculpture create ambiance. Tong-D offers a full bar. Great to see a nice Thai eatery here in South County! The place was not busy on a recent Tuesday afternoon; a few diners meandered in after we were quickly seated. We sampled the Prix Fixe lunch specials and were pleased, overall, with offerings. Chicken Lemongrass Tom Yum soup had lots of mushrooms and Crispy Spring rolls(2) wrapped in light layers hit the spot. Salads are included with the Prix Fixe specials. Dining companion enjoyed the Pad Thai, from the Chicken/Pork/Tofu/Vegetable choice at $ 10.95. My selection, Mango Curry($ 11.95) was beautifully seasoned with just the right balance of curry powder, generous, juicy mango cubes and crisp-tender veggies. However, there were numerous thin slivers of rather tough chicken and only two small crunchy shrimp in the dish. I would have preferred more shrimp here considering this dish falls under Shrimp/Beef/Calamari which is the pricier Prix Fixe selection. Two very, very small shrimp seemed an afterthought. My only other comment is there were/are no placemats at the front two tables — where the hostess sat us — and only one paper napkin each. The server took my silverware — after I had finished my salad but before the entrée — picked the fork up off the salad plate and set it on the bare table for me to use again. As a bit of a germaphobe it was marginally disconcerting. Next time I will hold onto my fork!

Went here recently with my wife to try the newest Thai place in the area. We were told that it was still considered their ‘soft opening’, and other than a few minor cosmetic details in the restaurant we wouldn’t have known. Service was good, and the menu had the typical Thai items plus a few that I’d never seen before. The tofu and noodle soup was outstanding. We also tried the fresh rolls and a massaman curry, both excellent. My favorite was a crispy duck dish with coconut flavored rice. The interior is beautiful, with a lot of attention to detail. Will be back for sure!
