The owner treats his workers very poorly. he skimps on their overtime pay, does not warn them before cutting hours, and is just plain old disrespectful to young people working a minimum wage job. his workers do not deserve the poor treatment he gives them. I would not recommend this restaurant.

My boyfriend and I stopped in on Saturday night before the movies to grab calzones for dinner. I ordered a meatball and chicken parm calzone«for here» while he went and grabbed the movie tickets. The boy behind the counter said he would grab the calzones and have them heated for me — great!.. or so I thought. However, after taking a bite into each of them I realized that the center was still cold. As I said, we were going to the movies so there was no time to complain and ask for them to warm them further, but I would have expected a bakery would have some method of making sure the product was actually heated prior to serving to their customers. I definitely won’t be returning anytime soon.

Solid calzones. Initially stopped in for pizza, but knew immediately that calzones were where it’s at. Stopped by here before the movie to pick up a snack before enduring a 2 hour film fest on discount Tuesdays with the fam. The calzones were great, tried a bit of everyones, and they can be a tad dry, but they are SO affordable. Just ask for extra sauce on the side, and all will be well. On our long drive back to NYC, we popped in to get a GIANT loaf, for a mere $ 9. Our favorite flavors were the buffalo chicken, eggplant parm and of course, spinach pie!

Calzones can be on the dry side, and sometimes the dough does not taste as fresh. However, they do offer tasty combinations, and nice place to stop in to grab something on the go in the Commons. The prices are also very reasonable. I personally am never a dessert person, nor would I think of Colvitto’s for dessert. However, around St. Joseph’s Day(March 19th for anyone who doesn’t know), they have really tasty Zeppoli’s. Which are probably the most tasty dessert I can think of = deep fried dough with cream and topped with a cherry. Since, what dessert is not complete without a cherry on top?

I stopped in for lunch yesterday. I ordered a pepperoni pizza slice and the meatball sausage calzone. Both were good. The calzones are small and have a good amount of sauce in them. The bakery stuff was not as good. Brownies are sweet but not chocolatey, would not get again. Sfogliatelle was very chewy and just an off texture, as if it had been sitting out. Mini chocolate cannoli was ok, the best of the three I guess. meh. Would go again for the calzones since it is close to my work
