This place is awesome! I called in a hair emergency & they were able to see me the same day. Oriana did my hair & she did such a good job!!! My hair was a horrible color & I had a bad cut. Oriana gave me highlights and trimmed my hair up & I love it. Oriana & Christina were both there & they were both so welcoming & funny. They also have lots of different products for sale. I will definitely be coming back & I highly recommend this salon to anyone!

I was searching for the Best place to get a brazilian blowout and once again Unilocal didnt let me down. So far all the recommendations based on reviews have been right on point. When I called to inquire about the services Judy the owner was so nice and informative and was able to find me a spot right away. Everyone there is so nice they make you feel at home. Christina did my hair and oh boy that girl is GOOD! She knows what she’s doing and she has a patience of an angel lol 4 hours later my hair was the prettiest I’ve ever seen. Highlights, haircut & a brazilian blowout it was the perfect combination. So worth the $$ I am definitely coming back to do my hair again. Very happy with my new look. I wish I had a proper before pic so you could see the change.

Donna did a killer job on my botched up hair. (That I have been cutting myself for the past year) will definitely return for the great company! John Judy and Donna are a hoot! Greeted right at the door. unlike other places that didn’t even ask what or why I was there (10 minutes standing at the door). Great customer service and a great crowd in there. Felt like I’ve known them for years! Won’t be cutting my own hair again for a while! Am even considering getting my first highlights (they suggested a great color) 50 bucks wash trim layer blow dry and even ran a straightener through it. Not a bad deal at all! I think I can actually go around town with my hair down now and won’t be embarrassed! Dadd got a trim and was super excited about it. Thank you thank you!

I went to Cut Loose for my & my daughter’s wedding-​day hair. Amanda and her team are simply outstanding.
For a variety of reasons, my fiancé’ (now husband) and I decided to elope to Tahoe from Silicon Valley, with slightly less than 3 weeks to plan. I found Amanda through Unilocal,called, and had hair appointments for myself and my daughter within minutes. She cheerfully confirmed the appointment a few days ahead of time, which made me feel so secure.
Because she communicated so well, I knew exactly what she needed from us to make the appointment successful — and it was. I’ll post photos of my own hair when I have them (takes time to get them from the photographer) but I can include some of my daughter. My 12-​year-​old daughter has a TON of silky straight hair… and I have very little, frizzy/​curly hair — both can pose challenges for a stylist, but I felt we looked fabulous!
We were taken on time, no delays, and in fact we were done a little earlier than I’d expected — bonus on such a potentially stressful day! Price was just on par with what others were quoting online.
If I had a friend or sibling looking for a special event stylist in South Lake Tahoe, I’d recommend Cut Loose without any hesitation. Thank you so much!

Anything u want for ur hair can be done at Cut Loose, they r up for anything. This shop is always up on all the newest things and u won’t regret going here. The atmosphere is very friendly and the owners, John and Judy r amazing. If u r looking for extensions, John is the one to see. U won’t find anyone else in town as knowledgeable as he is when it comes to extensions. Everyone in this shop is good, but, if it’s color u want, see Christina. This girl is amazing and will dazzle u with what she can do. I have had her do various things with my hair and have always been pleased. She is exceptionally good with highlights and lowlights, her cutting technique is amazing and she gives the most awesome shampoo! This girl is good! U won’t be disappointed by anyone when u go here. They r by far, the best in town.

For the life of me I can’t remember the chicks name that did my hair??? But she has blonde hair! Ask for the blondie!
By the way… The only reason I even have this place a try was because of grandma!

Everywhere I go I receive tons of compliments on the color and cut of my hair… from strangers! Amanda is amazing and a true professional. I recommend Amanda to everyone… she is upbeat and always makes me feel right at home as she magically transforms my hair into a gorgeous masterpiece.

Went into Cut Loose for a haircut and saw Christina. AMAZING! I couldn’t be happier with the outcome! Christina took time to ask me what I was looking to achieve and then gave me some of her recommendations. She was thorough and skilled with the scissors. What can I say. I love these people. They are friendly as well as professional and have always made me look and feel like a queen. Amanda is my girl when I need my hair done. She not only knows how to do an amazing cut but her coloring is top notch. She always remembers me and knows my hair well. I’ve always been extremely satisfied. Thank you Amanda, john and Judy. You all are great and I always recommend your salon highly. I’d give 10 stars if I could.

I was in town for a family event and came in for a blowout. Amanda did a fantastic job washing, smoothing and styling my curly hair. She’s such a nice person and talented with a blow dryer! I relaxed with the delicious coffee she brewed me and my pretty style lasted several days. It was also was very helpful that I was able to just walk from my hotel… Aston Lakeland Village. I have been going to Amanda for almost 3 years. I finally went blonde today and she out did herself! I just sat in the chair and said make me blonde (I have been Auburn/​red for about 6 years). The owners Judy and John are amazing people. My stomach usually hurts from laughing so much. They make you feel like family. You are always greeted so warmly and offered a drink. I had the privilege of meeting Donna today and what great customer service skills. I have grown up in a family that owns a very successful high end salon in the bay area so am a hair snob. They know there stuff and listen to what you want. The owners used to be educators for Paul Mitchell so they know the importance of keeping up with current techniques and styles. You get what you pay for at this salon and will be very satisfied with the level of skill and service you receive.

I went in at noon and was out by 1:30! Shelly is a master with foils! I had not kept up on my my highlights, working a winter job (wearing a beanie was part of the uniform, so who cared) and she was looking at a really bad hombre when I walked in lol. The color is awesome, down to the roots and exactly what I wanted! Thank you Shelly!
Judy is pretty hilarious too, thank you for making us all laugh! Great family owned/​operated business in SLT!
