The Best Western typically isn’t the most glamorous of hotels, but the one in Tahoe is truly great for the price. The best part? Breakfast at LewMarNel’s. Think of your standard diner with all diner options for a super affordable price. Granted if you stay at the Best Western your breakfast is comped, but I wouldn’t mind paying for the food either. The portions are gigantic, and the food is always super filling to hold you over on the slopes. Get the 2 eggs with grits! You won’t regret it!

Have eaten breakfast as this spot many times over the last 5 years. Tried it for dinner for the first time last weekend and was pleasantly surprised. Very old school steakhouse environment, the waiters were professional and spot on in their timing. Very much enjoyed the food, I had lobster and my husband had the peppercorn steak and they met our expectations. The meal started out with bread and fondue and included soup or salad and 2 sides. Even though we’d done a 12 mile hike earlier that was more food then we could eat. Will definitely return next time we’re in the area.

Update; on our last trip to South Lake Tahoe we stayed at the Station house again. This time we tried dinner here. Same great service, same great food! I had the Medallions. Pretty darn good meal for $ 40. 2 petite filets with 3 big grilled prawns. Came with choice of potato(I had the twice baked) and a veggie. And the meals come with a cheese fondue with some tasty dipping bread as the starter. Compared to the high end expensive steak houses, this place is pretty decent. Though not up to par with them, this in no slouch of a restaurant. For the dishes and value it really decent. I recommend!

Excellent service. We had the free complimentary breakfast from Best western. I had the Two Eggs breakfast with buttermilk biscuits. Will come back again if in the area.
