The TriTip was the BEST we’ve ever had and we eat A LOT of TriTip all over. Great job Frank! Huge Smoker outside cooking the meat n their beans. Great service too! A must for us every time we go.

Super windy day with the cloud cover in full effect. Where do you escape for a bit and grab a beverage? Tamarack Lodge. The restrooms were filthy. A few employees were in there using the facilities but nobody seemed focused on cleaning the dirty restrooms. There was toilet paper strewn on the floor and that was only within the first few steps. Also, I thought it was a tad odd they had chairs lined up down the middle of the stall area. Was this an area to wait for an open stall, a lounge area or perhaps set your items down while you are in a stall. I understand this is at the top of a mountain and I have no alternatives but I need to lower this rating by a few stars because of the prices also. I understand you are schlepping everything up the hill in order to sell it to those of us who are parched while riding but c’mon… $ 8 for a Naked Green Machine? It was delicious and just what I wanted but double the normal cost? Wow. That said, the cell signal being non-existent made the wi-fi a nice bonus. It was spotty but it was still nice to have. I didn’t order any food as it was still early in the day but they looked like they had a fair portion of options and plenty of seating. Huge beer hall type tables and a stage for live music. On a better day outside seating would have been the perfect choice — also with ample seating!

Bottled iced coffee is $ 7.50! I recommend the garlic fries(it was plenty for two people.) There is black bean chili, clam chowder, and smokehouse chili. I was charged $ 11.25 for the last one even though the posted price was under $ 11. $ 0.45USFS fee was added to my total.

Don’t get the tri tip! It’s so tough that you won’t be able to eat it like a sandwich. Good drinks and great seating is what you should do here. The food is overpriced and not worth it.

The lodge is located at the top of the mountain where the Heavenly Valley ski gondola takes you. No other restaurants there. The price for a ride up and down is very high. The lodge is comfortable, attractive and quiet. Simple food is served, such as hamburgers and chili. If is of decent quality and, considering the absence of competition other than at the foot of the mountain, not so expensive after all. You can rest or tarry in the lodge as long as you want. The main reason for ascending the mountain is that there are a lot of fun activities(not cheap tho) at the top, such as 2 very long zip lines and lots of things to climb up and down. A great place to give your kids some exercise.

They have great drinks and decent snack bar type foods up there. The drinks are a little pricey here but it was great! I had a Bloody Maria with a load of stuff in it-not just a stalk of celery. Personally I wish they had a nice restaurant for those of us that are there just to hang out but we can’t always have what we want right? Will I be back? Yes! We’re making plans to go back this coming fall. Do I recommend this place to friends? Yes!

The inside is super nice and loads of seating. Love the free wifi since we couldn’t get cellphone signal up there. The food is a complete rip off. I paid $ 11 for a normal slice of pizza that was a bit soggy and super greasy. The cheese fries were a joke. They sprinkled some grated cheese on there and just nuked it. We were expecting super gooey cheese. We sat in the bar area and did really like the heavenly Bloody Mary. The candy bacon was a great surprised and super good. However half way through my drink the Bloody Mary was just too much. It was a bit thick and not spicy at all. But it is a resort area so I shouldn’t be surprised by the price at all.

Pretty much the only option at the top of Heavenly but that’s fine by me. Great simple food offerings and super friendly staff. Ample seating, free wifi and lots of nice condiments and extras offered as well.

Chili… Guinness… Warmth? What else can one want? Wifi? Yup! Mucho tables? Si Good looking interior? Ah oui Place to purchase the Chapstick you forgot? Uh, YA! Just beside the Gondola, you can’t miss it. Oh ya, don’t forget the«happy hour» after 2:00 pm. Cheaper drinks, food and musac. Here’s to the ski/board season!
