I rarely go to Starbuck’s Coffee ever since I’ve discovered Dutch Bros in Davis, but didn’t have much of a choice since we were in South Lake Tahoe this past Thanksgiving weekend. Whenever we’re in town I always stop by this Starbuck’s located inside Harvey’s Casino while the hubby goes upstairs to the Sports Book area to do his thing. Staff is always nice but sometimes when there are storms they run out of supplies so you may order a certain size drink but they’ll put it in a Venti cup. No big deal, I’m just glad I can get decent coffee for those days I need to get warmed up or cool down with a frappaccino during the summer months. Maria was the barista that helped me each time I was here this past week and she was nice as always. My Chestnut Praline was perfect, super yummy each time and my little one devoured their breakfast bun so no complaints here. Will definitely be coming back whenever we’re in town again.

Assuming that this is the Harvey’s location next to the lobby, it is the worst location Starbucks that I visited! I ordered 2 ham-and-cheese squares and passion tea. After charging me $ 4 for the passion tea and $ 4 each for the ham-and-cheese square, Cristina told me that she only had one and gave me back only $ 4 cash(without the tax). The prices are also approx 50% more expensive than at other Starbucks. When I noticed a lot of ham-and-cheese squares and butter croissants, I asked to get more. Cristina told me that they are all out!

The worst sturbucks ever. The stuff here is so rood, they behave as if they are doing you a favor for serving you. You are freaking baristas not brain surgeons lose the attitude, really

As far as Starbucks go this one is ok. The staff is friendly, the coffee is good, and it’s convenient in the hotel, however their baked good selection is a little lacking and they didn’t have the blonde roast regularly which is the singular coffee I like at Starbucks!

If your staying at Harvey’s on the tower overlooking Lake Tahoe it’s a great location, otherwise it’s horrible. it’s great to just go down the lobby and grab a nice cup of coffee. Service is friendly and the coffee is good. Sometimes, I don’t have the luck to stay at the Lake Tower location or I’m staying at a different hotel though, it then becomes a bumpy process in the morning to grab coffee. It’s OK if I’m staying in Harrah’s since they have a Starbucks in the lobby also but sometimes you get stuck at the far end of the hall, opposite the elevators — it’s a hike. Anyways, great location if your staying at Harvey’s on the lake side.

Ordered black coffee with tons of room for cream & a white nonfat decaf white mocha with whip. Had to repeat the«with whip» part as I saw that the barista taking my order had not written it on the cup. Had to grit teeth when said barista gave me snotty look. Mocha came up properly made and delicious. Coffee was fine, but the response from the barista when we asked him to dump some of the coffee out because my hubby like A LOT of cream(«Why didn’t you order a medium in a large cup then?») was not. Meh. I’ve experienced better.

Visited this specific location 2 consecutive days, ordering the same drink at each visit. Different«baristas». Day 1. Ordered a grande, iced soy caramel macchiato(spelling?). Received the order. There were lumps of curdled soy at the bottom of the cup. The«barista»(boo to her) dumped the espresso too fast into the soy milk! Tempering 101! She wasn’t paying attention to what she was doing because she was too busy gabbing away on the cell phone. Real professional there. Horizon should look into this. After all, it’s their Starbucks. Your gift card will not work here. They aren’t accepted. Day 2. Same order, different«barista». In this case, the drink was created perfectly! Better than those I’ve had in the past made by other people/locations. This guy knows what he’s doing. I appreciate that. He earned the stars and cancelled out the dummy from day one. Very professional, friendly. I guess the lesson here would be to go on Sundays and only if the guy is there. Kudos to him! Aside from that, the place is really cozy and tucked away in a corner. Away from the traffic, but you can still people-watch. There’s a fireplace to sit by. The place is also clean.

Starbucks is a Starbucks. But for the PLETHORA of hot men in this particular Starbucks on the day of my visit, and the usual hot chocolate to warm me from the freezing temps: five stars for you, Starbucks Lake Tahoe!

11÷7÷07 update: Had a fabu fruit tart, so wanted the strawberry creampuff but the cream would have put me in a lactose coma. Have a nice gas fireplace along the wall, wish they had comfy overstuffed chairs instead of wooden bistro ones. Do have wireless in the Lobby of the hotel and here but behind a firewall. Was a problem for my computer. — — — — — — — - Starbucks It is nice to get a quick pick me up during the day and night. On the edge of the casino and lobby area in the Horizon Casino Hotel. Love the soy chai Tazo latte.
