On this trip to Tahoe we were staying at Blue Jay Lodge, which is a literal stone’s through from Harveys. Well, I couldn’t throw a stone that far but it’s only a 3 minute walk. When you enter the back of Harveys near the bus center(Yes, bus. No, not business.) you enter into a lobby with the concierge desk and this Starbucks. We walked by a couple of nights on our way back to our hotel and saw that their baked goods are discounted after a certain time. We didn’t get any of these though. On Saturday afternoon 6⁄9 I had some work to do(it’s hardly vacation if you have work) but I just couldn’t concentrate at all after a very fun Friday night. So I stopped by the Starbucks and let my fiancé talk to Jordan at the counter. He told her his favorite drink and she suggested I add a shot of espresso to wake me up. She was working alone and was very friendly. She even pointed out tables I could sit at to do my work nearby. I ordered a grande white chocolate mocha($ 4.45) and added TWO shots of espresso($ 1.80) Guess it was a pretty good Friday night because even with the drink I was still tired. But it was pretty delicious! Almost $ 7 for one drink — Pretty expensive for coffee; as expected. Service with a smile made the day a little better. Ordering extra whipped cream didn’t hurt either! Yummm.
