IHOP

Don’t know what’s happening with IHop everything was cold??? At dinner time, it’s not like they were supper Busy??? Total of 5 cars in the parking lot??? Had scramble eggs bacon home fries and toast. eggs where cold, Home fries deep-​fried??? Look like they came out of a bake oven, they weren’t even brown, even the toast wasn’t brown, very disappointed!!! Took a total of one dollar off the bill that was nice of them!!!

I don’t like pancakes and am not generally a fan of IHOP. However, I visit this location fairly frequently when I travel for work. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the location is very convenient. I also like that they are open fairly early.
I tend to order an egg white omelet with fruit. It is solid and well-​cooked, nothing special, but never disappointing.

While eating, the staff continue to do renovations around the customers. Being loud while random contractors are doing work in the bathrooms so people cannot use them. There is a time and place for these renovations to happen and lunch time on a Monday is not the time. After hours should be used to complete these tasks. I’m furious. Food and service good though.

IHOP is well… IHOP. It’s basic/​simple comfort food and dishes. It’s a chain restaurant so the food tastes pretty much the same anywhere you go. However, the wait staff at the South Portland location are very friendly and accommodating. The food always tastes good and prices are reasonable. The restaurant is also pretty clean (including the bathrooms). This location is definitely maintained well.

Wow, I eat out all the time and when my friends wanted to go to IHOP for dinner I was kinda bummed because I wasn’t in the mood for breakfast. Needless to say 2 hours later I was eating one of the best bacon cheeseburgers I ever had! The menu is huge and not only has breakfast all day but has things like chicken cordon bleu and some big ol’ salads.
I’m very glad my friends dragged me out to this place. Service was excellent, food arrived super fast and the price was very reasonable. Will definitely be bringing the family here soon!

We always enjoy our breakfasts at the South Portland IHOP. The food is great, there is always plenty of hot coffee, the wait staff can’t do enough for you, and it’s quiet enough to converse with your tablemates.

This is a wonderful IHOP (located close to The Maine Mall). Friendly staff and excellent breakfast food served quickly. Omelets are huge and full of tasty ingredients — your choice. I only wish they opened earlier so I wouldn’t have to wait until 6 a.m. to get at those fluffy pancakes with butter.

The pancakes were pretty good and waffles look delicious! The service was good, waitress was polite, outgoing and friendly. Overall, it was a good breakfast

Walmart is Walmart. And people refer to Target as an upscale Walmart. Such is the same here. I like Dennys for late night gatherings, but it is more like Walmart, and iHop would be more like Target in this comparison.
That is the best way I can put it. I do not go to these places because I am wild about the food. I go to these places because of the price and not a lot of places offer breakfast the entire time.
This location is nice. Staff is good. Service good. It is on the level of what I would expect from iHop.
We do love going here with friends though. Good times.

This is a great place to get friendly service, ask for my sister & my favorite «Tony»! This guy genuinely wants you to have a great experience.
The French toast is amazing (no powdered sugar for me) although if I accidentally got it I would not send it back (ever see the film New Guy?!)
Not all the staff is super friendly but the food is really cheap & it’s pretty clean.

I’ve eaten here a 100 times and it’s always good, the service is great and the wait staff is very friendly. On thing they really excel at is getting your order done fast. I would stop in here before going to work and in 15 minutes, I’d be seated, eaten and gone out the door. Fantastic!

We’ve gone to IHOP numerous times, it’s relatively inexpensive with quick service and good food. The last time we were there though I was not super impressed.
I ordered the Californian scramble, particularly because I was craving avocado, which was nothing like the pictures in the menu. Now I understand that often times that is the case with food, but the avocado was thinly sliced and flimsy and brown. How they could put that on the plate and not think twice about it baffles me. My bf ordered the eggs benedict and the food was literally spilling off of the plate when our waitress set it down.
She came back to check on us, I pointed out the avocado and asked if I could have a new portion, she was very nice about it but seemed surprised… like she had not once looked at the plate when she brought it over. She came back quickly with my scramble with new avocado and offered an explanation that the cooks «had grilled the other pieces of avocado which is why it was browned.» I don’t buy that for one second, but they fixed it so I guess that’s all that matters.
Things happen and I understand that. We’ll probably be back here again because we love a cheap breakfast, but get it together IHOP.

The jelly donut pancakes are AMAZING!!! Melt in your mouth goodness and tastes like a jelly donut… And the service today was very good I’ll be back for sure

Love it here. Family owned and always love supporting a business like that. Food is always great, service is always above par, and they can always cater to a large group. Have walked in with more than 20 people and they were able to seat us and serve us with no issues. Always on the top of my list for breakfast in the South Portland area.

OK so what can you possibly say about a chain restaurant? Let me tell you. It was 5:30 on a Sunday morning. I was in town on a business trip and I had a meeting at 7:00am. Desperate to find a place to grab something I pulled into the empty IHOP parking lot and started reading the hours: Open 6:00AM Sunday, drat! It was then that my waitress came, unlocked the door, and motioned me inside. I yelled are you open, «sure come on in». Had a great «Colorado Omlet» with pancakes. Service was quick, coffee was great, and my waitress, Casey M was fantastic.

Always have a good time here. Costumer service rocks! My kids enjoy coming here every Sunday and I have never been disappointed; only thing is that it does get wicked busy but that’s what happens when there is good food n service!

IHOP’s are everywhere and I have been to many in several states, while the ones I have been to in NJ and FL have gone down hill where I will no longer go to them this one maintained itself very well. The service is fast, efficient and very friendly and the food is very good, will continue to go there and recommend them to anyone. Great job South Portland IHOP.

Ate here with family for late breakfast. Kids meal silver dollar pancakes with eggs, my kid was happy. Bacon, cheese tomato omelet def fill me up,. Oat’n nut pancakes were good,. New waffle dish with berry’s was more desert than a breakfast meal but we finished. Our waiter Mimi was great!!!

This IHOP is like every other IHOP in the US, so, I won’t spend much time talking about the food here. The reason I’m taking the time to write this review is to commend Chris G, our server. The place was packed, but he greeted every table with such genuine enthusiasm that if you were in a bad mood when you got there, you would leave with a smile on your face. Thanks Chris G. for making our visit to IHOP such a pleasant experience!

Great food. Unfortunately our waitress was rather rude-​but the owner and hostess were very nice and made up for the bad service.
