Five Below

Here are the responsible adult purchases I made the first time I came:
— male cologne (that promises to make you more executive, whatever that means)
— female perfume (called «Blossom», thought I needed a perfume to bring out the scent of my tattoo flowers)
— pink, glittery glow-​in-​the-​dark nail polish
— an energy drink
All for $ 15.
I couldn’t help myself. They were playing AWESOME music (Hot Chip’s «Ready For The Floor»; who plays that?! People in the know. People who understand life. I had a dance break in the middle of the aisle [#sorrynotsorry other customers staring]), the store was mighty clean, and I was being overstimulated visually by all the bright colors and tubs of things beckoning me to purchase them. And why not, because at Five Below EVERYTHING IS FIVE DOLLARS OR LESS.
Move over Dollar Store, I got a new beau.
(Not really, Dollar Store, you’re still my first option.)
Here are things I didn’t buy, but wanted to (and may have actually been in my hands to purchase at one point):
— aviator mirror sunglasses
— a giant mason jar shaped beverage dispenser
— globe lights
— 8 lb weights
— perfume that was a knock-​off of something by J. Lo
— some green tin gardening buckets (just because they were two for a $ 1)
This is making me sound like a crazy consumer, and really I’m not — I don’t actually like «stuff» at all — but these «hot deals and cool prices» thing is pretty crazy. So, if you like the Dollar Store — do yourself a favor and take a trip to Five Dollar. WARNING: You WILL buy stuff you didn’t plan on.

Every item in Five Below is $ 5.00 or less! I stumbled upon this store a couple of months ago and have been back a few times since. Each time I have gone I have found great deals that have surprised me. On my last visit they had two gallon plastic water pitchers with removable fruit infusers that you place down the middle of the pitcher for $ 2.50! They have the same ones at Big Lots for $ 10.00. They have great summer outdoor items– everything you could need for a barbeque. Fashionable outdoor string lights, modern eat and drink ware. Everything for a party!
They also have awesome nail polish that is 3 for $ 5.00. Great colors and selection. They also have Burts Bee’s products, EOS, Bed Head, and other name brand products. All for $ 5 or less! Lately I’ve been stocking up on dry shampoo here. They also have flip flops 2 pairs for $ 5.00. The sports brand flip flops like Patriots/​Celtics etc. are $ 4.00 a pair.
If you haven’t been here before it’s definitely worth checking out. Grab a basket at the door, you’re probably going to need it!
