Stellar experience all around… From watching the sushi chefs wielding scary sharp knives, to eating my own delicious and remarkable fresh sushi roll. Seafood lovers won’t walk away disappointed.

Spicy Miso Ramen seemed to be a popular choice and came enthusiastically recommended. Wanted a sushi roll also, for a few hours later when the only option left open was Subway. Hamachi is my fave, so a quick spy at the description for Double Hamachi Roll and I was sold. Spicy Miso Ramen: An uncharacteristic sweetness permeated both broth and solids. By halfway through, I was through. The off-putting yet curiously familiar taste just threw everything off so much that after a break of a few minutes, the next bite resulted in a shudder. I forced myself to, uh, «savor» that last spoonful to try to pinpoint the culprit. Wait, is that… Hoisin sauce! What hoisin was doing in a bowl of Spicy Miso broth, your guess is as good as mine. Though it’s rare that I don’t finish my food no matter my opinion of it, I admitted complete and utter defeat. It’s a sad day when you would rather have shelled $ 10 for one package of instant ramen in boiled water than for this also $ 10 bowl. Double Hamachi Roll: Perfectly decent food court sushi. Made to order, nicely presented, generous on the soy sauce packets, could use a tad more wasabi. Stayed fresh for late-night nomming, with the three remaining bites still nommable the morning after(okay, so afternoon — don’t judge).

This sushi place is awful. I ordered The California roll expecting the traditional form and they gave me rolls with fish eggs on it after getting into a with the lady that worked there she threw it in the garbage and told the cook I guess make her a new one all angrily I looked at the menu California isn’t even listed on the menu otherwise I would have been aware of the fish eggs anyways don’t recommend stopping here before your flight you won’t want to deal with the rude service here. Go to willow street next to it way better service.

Awful sushi. I split the 49’er roll with my wife and we actually fought over who had to finish the thing. We waited nearly twenty minutes for a roll that was mostly rice. The filling inside was almost non-existent and the thick slices of lemon on top did not help. Although the salmon was not particularly fresh or high quality, I wasn’t expecting much. Because I lower my expectations at airports and amusement parks, this is a two star rating(also nothing particularly egregious occurred). However, if this happened outside, I would likely give it one star.

Airport food, what did you expect. That’s the start of this review and read on if you are interested. Ordered the dragon roll and spider roll, and a cup of hot green tea for dinner. Overly on the salty side, the food overall didn’t taste bad or great. Felt safe to eat. I would go back if no better alternatives are available within a 3 minute walking distance.

Convenient location; it’s right next to the security entrance. So, that would be a plus if you like to spend some time with your friends or family before boarding. Food is below average; of course, the price is not cheap since you are having food in the airport and that price should be expected. I used to go having some hot noodle soup before getting on a long flight plane. Worth to try if you are craving for soup type food before boarding.

After venturing off to this corner of the airport that I had never even realized existed… I came across Ebisu! Normally whenever we drop someone off for an international flight to the Philippines, we only eat at the food court near that airline… but we decided to be adventurous and stumbled upon the other food court. I would have to say I enjoy their bento boxes here moreso than their competing japanese restaurant on the other end. The bento boxes are same price $ 15. But it comes with a ton of food. Chicken Teriyaki + Salmon Teriyaki + Tempura, and seaweed salad. The other bento box comes with Beef Teriyaki + Breaded & Fried White Fish + Salmon Teriyaki + Seaweed salad. I think its worth the price. And they have a more extensive menu here! Actually has a sushi bar.

I had tamago soba here and it was rather decent, much better than your typical airport food.

Ebisu is actually pretty great for airport food.(It is already better than 85% of the Japanese restaurants in Portland, anyway. San Fran has it all over PDX in that regard.) Had zaru soba with scallions and wasabi, and a small sashimi.

With limited choices at the gate, I’m simply looking at this as a place of convenience. It’s not something to rave about, but it does deserve stars for having a fast turnaround. Time at an airport is quite valuable to me. Placed an ordered for udon and it was ready in less than 10 minutes. Want a quickie? Pick Ebisu at the food court!

Even by the low standards at SFO, this restaurant was a total fail for me. They had nothing — not one thing to eat — that was Gluten Free. Japanese is normally great for GF, as sushi, sashimi etc. don’t have any gluten in them. Cheap soy sauce has gluten but tamari does not and I have never come across a Japanese restaurant before which does not have at least some Tamari soy sauce. No apology either. Disgraceful.

Ebisu is a nice break from«here it is, take it or leave it» airport food. The portions are decent and the fish quality floors the standards of the other eateries in this area of the airport. Good service as well. On a traditional sushi level I would go 3 stars. Let me say I was hungry and so glad I found something good to eat!

I got the sushi combo ‚$ 12 with 6 pieces of California roll and four piece of assorted sushi. It was better than expected, in airport to have good food it is rare. It is definitely not bad but it is not super amazing as well. I will visit again when I gets hungry again when i go to sfo.

For airport sushi or otherwise, still amazing. Fresh, great variety. The chirashi is a good deal for what you get(a lot). The udon is good but the new place in terminal 2(inside security) tops it. The 49er and larger rolls are very well done as well. Always great service, but if you are in a rush and there is a line, be careful or go with something pre made). They make rolls fresh and that takes a few minutes. Also, way I think the reason they came out was because my hand wasn’t shaking. And that was because we had to sit for hours in the cold and snow waiting for any animals to come by(except the reindeer and elk, they are prima donnas) deal on sake than post-security Terminal 3 sushi or whatever you get on the plane.

Pretty decent fare, especially for an airport. Located closer to International G gates, the menu seems a bit more expansive than Osho(closer to International A gates). I tried the tempura udon before one of my flights and it wasn’t bad — noodles were properly cooked and came with 2 admittedly small shrimp tempura plus a handful of veggie tempura. Although my food came out pretty fast, most of the tempura was half-sunken in the broth and ended up extremely soggy. For ~$ 10 it was just cheap enough to not be considered overpriced, and it also seemed to be the busiest restaurant out of the group.

«The Katsu-Curry over rice was very tasty and sumptuous. The Ramen was not tasty but oily. They used to filter out the floating oil before. I guessed whether the Japanese ownership has changed or the cook has gotten lazy. I’d recommend the former, and turn down the latter. …». I’ve eaten at Ebisu for over a dozen times in the past whenever I traveled through SFO. Overall, I’d recommend this Japanese restaurant if you are hungry before boarding. The location is also pretty convenient where it’s located right by the security check point.

Ebisu offers up some pretty solid eats, especially considering their airport location. Everything at the airport starts off at rock bottom, but unlike the planes, they rarely exceed that. Which is why having a good meal at Ebisu was a nice surprise. I just got their pork ramen. Wanted something warm for the cold day. It actually wasn’t too bad at all. Ramen broth was tasty, albeit a little clear. Noodles tasted a little al dente, which is right up my alley. Really, the only thing I absolutely hated about the ramen was the pork itself, which didn’t taste much like anything. Sushi chef was sitting right in front of me the entire meal and was making the sushi right there on the spot. Don’t really know about taste since I didn’t get any rolls, but it was definitely a good sign seeing the meals prepped right then and there. Service itself was also pretty chill, especially seeing as they’re in one of the busiest spots in the entire country. Probably wouldn’t mind coming back to this place to check out the sushi. Definitely an option at SFO.

I had a rainbow roll and udon soup. The fish was not fresh and I could smell it on the plate. Udon soup was flavorless and the chicken terribly over cooked. Even the water tasted like the sanitizer. Add the surely service and you have a bad experience. $ 26 for lunch. Waste.

Considering the airport food court location, this place is pretty damn good! They make a solid Oyako Don(chicken egg onion over rice) and I enjoyed a delicious specialty roll that was made well and tasted good!(It was something like a tempura salmon roll) Best of all, the service was fast & friendly.

3.5÷5. First of all, I need to point out that this place is in the international terminal food court BEFORE security. The pin on the Unilocal map is situated near Tomokazu, which is in the terminal. I actually spent nearly 40 minutes searching for this place(even making two trips to Terminal 3) until one of the ladies at the duty free store pointed me in the right direction. At this point, I had only 25 minutes until my flight and would have to go through security again. But no worries: There wasn’t much of a line and the food was served quickly. I ordered a dragon roll, tempura udon, and a rock’n roll(unagi/avocado/tobiko). Udon was spot on; the shrimp were well fried and the broth was tasty, though piping hot — I had to wait a minute for it to cool down. Rolls, meanwhile, were to go: The Dragon and Rock’n Roll were both good, though obviously not mind-blowing: This is airpot food after all. Overall, the food wasn’t cheap, but it wasn’t much more than you’d expect to pay outside of the airport. I’ll certainly be back next time I have to fly out of T3 or the International Terminal.

Probably between a 3 or 4 star, but the fact that its at the airport makes it a 4. The staff is very friendly. I ordered 2 rolls and that was plenty for my dinner… Rainbow roll and caterpillar roll. The fish was seemed fresh, no fishy smell. The eel was not as tender /buttery as I prefer, but again… I was at the airport. :-) The rainbow roll coverage was pretty good, not much bare rice seen. The avocado was the right level of ripeness and not discolored(really dislike that). All in all, I’d come back if I was at the airport.
