Finally made it out to TWC in Southern Pines and was lucky enough to stumble upon their Hopslam tap takeover. The bottle shop is large with a great selection of wine and beer! They have a bar in the back with seating and private tables. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and able to point you in the right direction per your preference. It’s an odd note to bring up, but I’ve got to mention that the locals at this location aren’t all inviting to visitors. Just expect a different vibe than you expect in the Triangle, Southern Pines is a very country, small town place.

The selection of wine AND beer in this store is unsurpassed! Get on their email list so you won’t miss a thing. Wine tastings are a rule here, usually one going on Sat afternoons. The discounts on case wine purchases are as much as 25% OFF! That is almost buying at cost… REALLY!

Great selection of beers, best in the county. Prices are competitive for North Carolina. The staff are quite knowledgeable; David and Polly love what they do and are engaged with the customers. You can custom order. If they don’t have it, they’ll look it up. Taps with very interesting brews rotating on a regular basis. No complaints. Glad they are in the neighborhood, and hope to see them stick around for decades to come.

Where to start? Singles selection for beer is well… staggering. Very knowledgeable staff concerning beer. Look for Chris, the tall guy with the beard and glasses. He’ll walk you through styles, breweries and prices. If you have a flavor, he can find it for you. Matt is fully capable of advising you on wine (and beer). The bar is a fun place to sit and talk beer with the domestics, or even the imports (See what I did there?) Tap takeovers occur on a regular basis. Decent pours, the occasional swag, and a bartender whose claim to fame is being cast in a superhero movie. Fun times to be had before going across the road to the Full Moon.

Great selection of wines and beer, also lots of knowledgable staff to help you out. They do lots of activities like wine tastings and such there. So you’re not just shopping for booze, you can spend time and enjoy yourself there!

Belgians! Germans! Americans! This place is amazing! I honestly didn’t even get a chance to look at the wine selection because I was swooning over the beer (But there looked like a lot of it!) I recently moved to the States from Belgium and was happy to see many of my old friends there (some very obscure) They also had a good selection of Michigan beers (my original home) so I was pretty impressed. The staff is pretty helpful and knowledgable.

I come here for my German beer. One is the Radler and the other one is close to my Berliner Weisse. Friend recommended and unless they stop selling it, I will be back. Great selections of beer and wine, free tastings and very friendly cusomer service.

This place is AMAZING! The beer and wine selection is fantastic and they have wonderful costumer service.
Also, the tastings on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons were very fun.
They have several wines that really surprised me and a lot of hard to find beers.
I would highly recommend this place! Wish they had one in California!!!
