First time eating here. We were pretty disappointed. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating, but the place was dirty. The yellow mustard container on the table was a greyish brown from dirty hands over a period of time. The same was true of the ketchup. There was big glob of dried up ketchup that had been there for some time. The waitresses t-shirts were filthy. There wasn’t a clean spot on them, even the sleeves and shoulders were dirty. I was amazed at how dirty they were. They wiped their hands on them and some of the food was hanging off the t-shirt. The waitress grabbed the roast beef, carrying it over other food on the counter to the slicer. I saw blood from the roast beef drip into the Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was cold; asked waitress to heat it up, it was luke warm at best. The grinders had very little taste. We will never eat here again.

Great sandwich spot in Southington. Golfing buddies were driving home and stopped in for a sandwich. Best roast beef sandwich I ever had, still think about it! Friendly service.

Sit in or take out. The service is fast and friendly. The food tastes and looks home made! The meats are all cooked perfectly and the bread is fresh. Add a verity of toppings to any type of sandwich. It really is kinda like build your own meal! The sides are plentiful too. They have a little heater and put cookies in there! Yum! And to top it all off the price is fair. Extremely fair for the quality of food. Much better then commercial competitors in the Waterbury /Farmington Valley area.

Great, healthy food and fast service! Everything is so fresh and made in front of you. All of the employees are so nice. Loved my grilled chicken wrap(minus cheese and sour cream due to dairy allergy) and they were accommodating to sub an extra ingredient! My husband loved his buffalo chicken wrap(he is a connoisseur). Our two wraps plus two bevs came to $ 21. Not bad at all! Will come back weekly!

This is by far the best deli around. That’s if you could only limit it as a deli. They offer a large variety of food and they are constantly adding new sandwiches and freshly prepated ingredients. The worst thing about this place is waiting in line with everyone else. At least it gives you time to choose what to get. But you will be happy with anything they offer and the service you get. This is a need to try! 10⁄10

I Unilocaled the other day when I was in the area for lunch. This popped up as the first place so I decided to give it a try. The inside is very cute and cozy, but I was a little confused as to where I should order. I finally figured it out, and opted for a meatball roll. It comes with either pasta salad or Caesar salad, so I opted for the Caesar. My food came out very quickly which was nice. The food was good, but definitely not something I would get again. The sauce had a hint of «Chef Boy-ar-dee» taste to it and the meatballs alone had no taste. The sandwich was overpowered with cheese, so I had to take a majority of it off. The roll was delicious though and kept it’s consistency even through the sauce from the sandwich, whereas sometimes they get soggy. The salad was very good, but puny. Only a small handful it seemed like. The people there were very sweet, and they do serve you which was nice. I will return and try something else. Great spot if you are in a hurry and the menu is very big which I like. The tables seemed a bit dirty though. I would recommend having them wipe them down before you sit. All in all a nice, quick place to grab lunch.

Looking at some of the reviews from LASTYEAR, I still have to wonder if they went to the same place I did. I’m still working through the menu, but I recommend the Roast Beast, or the Chicken Francaise on whatever. I plan to get more daring, but these are my two go-tos. The mac-salad they provide as a side is filling in itself. This is a rare«deli» I don’t bother get a bag of chips, the aforementioned salad provides my starch/carbs. GREAT for any lunch… they tend to close early if they run out, I dunno, like a good business should.

Love coming here for lunch with co-workers. Awesome sandwiches, custom salads, fresh cookies, and the owners/staff treat you like family. Eat in or take out, I can’t recommend this gem enough.

Awesome first experience. Really friendly staff. Food was amazing! Fresh! They carve everything in front of you(hint from the name). Got a fresh baked cookie and they offered to heat it up. Will definitely be back.

My buddy had commented about the amount of meat they give you on your sandwich, which got me interested. Definitely worth the visit if this is the fare you’re looking for. I picked up a few sandwiches for an outdoor picnic and was not disappointed. In the same breath as the«short order» and deli style restaurants(Subway, D’Angelo, Quiznos, Blimpie, etc.) CC Carver’s is king. Everything CC Carver’s offered was fresh, home made and prepared on site. Aside from the aesthetics of the last sentence, everything tasted friggin’ good. The owner was onsite when I visited and was very helpful. Chalkboards and the small kitchen feel had my small little brain spinning. What can I say, I’m used to Jared telling me what kind of sub I should have and a kid with a visor hand picking my GMO filled plastic turkey. The only reason I’m hesitant to give five stars is the availability of such amazing-ness. Their hours don’t leave much time to get your fix.

Love this place. Food is always fresh, portions are generous, everything is delicious, haven’t had a bad sammy here yet. I’m a very picky person when it comes to eating out. Being brought up in several restaurants and having 5 star chefs in my family. I’m here 2 – 3 times a week, got the whole office hooked on it. The turkey bomb is as close to thanksgiving at g’mas as you can get.

After going here twice and it being closed both times I was a little turned off by this place. The first time I went at 5 and they apparently close early. The second time I went during their business hours and they were still closed. I will say their hours are weird. I could be wrong but I think they open at 8 am and close early afternoon. I was never going to try to go there again but I drove by and saw the door open and figured I would give it a try. The food is very expensive for what you get. I got the«ruby» a corned beef sandwich with kraut, thousand island dressing, swiss, and served on grilled buttered rye bread. I am a huge fan of corned beef but this was really fatty. The rye bread was completely saturated with fat and butter. It completely fell apart and I couldn’t even finish it because it was so greasy. It also cost me $ 10. That’s right, ten dollars for some corned beef on sliced rye bread. The whole experience was very disappointing. Southington could use a good sandwich shop but CC carvers misses the mark.

Went back today with some friends and tried the roast beef. Wow! This is the way roast beef is supposed to taste. Cooked perfectly rare with a nice crust on the outside. Puts Boars Head and other name brand deli purveyors to shame. A dollar or two more expensive but when you combine with top notch bakery bread it’s worth it. The others in my group tried the Rubie(CC’s own Reuben), the Chicken Marsala and the Godfadda(Italian combo) and everyone was extremely happy with their meal. Can’t wait to go back and try some other items. The one issue was their cole slaw. Too mayonaise-y and needs to be seasoned properly. Certainly not a deal breaker.

This place has a few growing pains to get through, but overall they do a nice job. Hubby got the chicken parm – too much sauce made the sandwich very soggy and hard to eat. I had the buffalo chicken, which was good – I appreciate that the chicken was sliced up, making it much easier to eat. The greek chicken and a roast beef was also had by people with us(the grill was broken so no steak sandwiches available) and these were pretty good choices. Priceds are a bit higher than expected but the place is bright and inviting and staff was nice(albeit a bit confused). If I was to go back, I’d probably get a cold sandwich. Worth a try if you don’t want to go to the usual places!

Meaty + made from scratch + tic tac toe at the table = winner. Oh, and did I mention the food was delicious? I had the chicken pesto panini and hubs had some kind of beef sandwich(not sure exactly what kind — tri tip maybe?). The panini was awesome. The pesto was full of flavor and super fresh. The chicken breasts(yes, multiple, and not cutlets) were grilled and seasoned perfectly, and wore the pesto quite well. The hubs’ sub was chock full of beef, medium rare, sliced right off the hunk of meat sitting on the counter. He even had to wrap up the second half to bring home for left overs. I did not have that much self control. Overall, the place is cute, in a nice location by the green in S-town, and everyone is friendly. The price is maybe a dollar or two over what I would prefer to spend, but it’s worth it for a filling meal and to support a new local business.

Stopped in for lunch with my wife and it was amazing!!! Place is small, only a couple boothes but we were in late enough for there not to be a problem. Sandwiches are this place’s menu and they do them great. From traditional bread to wraps to hard rolls to 10″ grinders and panini’s. All the meats are cooked that morning to be sliced to order for your sandwich. My roast beef on a hard roll was about 2.5 to 3 inches of thin sliced med. rare heaven. My wifes chicken pesto panini had a juicy chicken breast layered between roasted peppers and some italian greens and the pesto was fabulous. Definately going to be back to CC Carvers to try other items on there menu. Can’t wait!!!
