Formaggio Apizza

My husband and I were a bit apprehensive when Formaggio’s opened, because of the other businesses that have come and gone from that location, but from the moment of our first order we have never been disappointed. Ever time we’ve ordered, the food is delivered hot and fresh. Our main staple is a pizza, the Goomba. This pizza can give any of the other big name pizzas a run for their money. Always packed with fresh toppings it never disappoints. I read another review where it said they skimped on the toppings but never once have I seen Formaggio’s go light on the toppings. Their crust is my one of my favorites, and they use it to make their calzones, which are out of this world. From the penne alla vodka to the salads, you have to try them all! Finally the staff gracious and professional. Please give them a try!

I was really disappointed. After Reading about them in the paper and hearing about all the awards, I couldn’t wait to try Formaggio, I ordered four large specialty pies for pick up. When I got them home they were still nice and hot. I opened the boxes and all but one of the pizzas were very skimpy with the toppings. I spent almost $ 20 a pie. I would have liked to see them covered. The pizza tastes good. The crust is a little dense. It was a let down.

This place is awesome. We had the Lucy with Red and the buffalo chicken pizza. Delivery and it was blazing hot and so tasty when it arrived. So glad we tried this place and ready to order again

My wife and I are pizza enthusiasts and are always looking to try new places in search of the best pie. In Southington there is no shortage of pizza places and we’ve tried many of them. We heard about Formaggios and about there award winning pizza and decided to give it a try. Definitely one of the best in town and great friendly service to go with it. If your looking for a great pizza you won’t be disappointed. Perfect combination of sauce, cheese, and toppings and a nice crust.

A few days ago I read that this pizzeria won the annual Southington Pizza Fest for the 2^nd year in a row so plans were hatched to give it a try. We called ahead to order a large cheese pizza and were told it would take about 30 minutes. I printed off scenic, albeit incorrect directions from Mapquest. On arrival there was one person waiting for takeout and so I gave my name and waited. As it turned out, there were two large orders in front of me totaling well over $ 100. I finally received my cheese pizza and returned home following a more direct route. Immediately on opening the pizza I realized the crust was thin, but a bit thicker than I prefer, not a major problem. More of a concern was the crust which was dried out while lacking any discernible char. Though the pizza sauce and mozzarella topping was okay, it was not nearly good enough to offset the disappointing crust.

This is a great pizza place! My family can never decide where to get pizza from on pizza night and we always end up getting it from here… Love it!

Good pizza. Can’t believe it but I even enjoyed the veggie my wife ordered. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Will most definitely return.

Had a meatball sub two days ago which was delicious… tonight had a pizza and it was even better. Thin, crispy crust, fresh toppings not canned and tasty sauce. Well done!

Great Pizza, fast and friendly delivery!
We heard this new pizza place was the «Overall Winner» at the Southington Pizza Fest and thought we would try it out.
We ordered a cheese and a Poppies Pie (sausage, mushroom, mozzarella). The kids loved the cheese pizza and the Poppies did not disappoint the adults either. We were happy all around. The Pie’s were not to greasy which is a huge plus.
Definitely will order again.
