Went there because they had an amazing drink menu. When we got there they didn’t know the drinks we were asking for and the bartender made up something totally different. When we asked what it was because we didn’t order that the bartender said oh we don’t have that menu anymore. Very disappointed.

My go-to Friday night place! Love sitting on patio winter or summer. Great burgers, salads and the Asian Calamari!

Awesome. Service was excellent, pricing wasn’t bad — got bang for your buck. Definitely worth a stop when you’re in the southport/Fairfield area. Food was absolutely delicious– really enjoyed it! Got the salmon and blt lobster. Both great! Will def go back.

We used to live in this area and loved the Grey Goose for its lobster club sandwich. Visiting now from California, we tried a host of dishes: buratta cheese with arugula and strawberries, lobster club, lobster mac and cheese with truffle oil, fire roasted oysters, beef tips with roasted corn, turkey meatballs with ricotta. All were truly well executed and gave us a spectrum of tastes that made for a memorable birthday lunch for my wife. The service was excellent, including their quickly lighting up the outdoor fireplace to keep us warm and cozy in their outdoor patio. Very pleased to see this place still going strong!

If you go in knowing that this is «good» dining as opposed to «fine» dining I’d be surprised if you were disappointed. The appetizer menu is always good(calamari, oysters, tuna) and many times we go in and share a bunch of small plates vs. an entrée(which are also very good — big fans of the«Black and Bleu Burger). We’ve always found the service to be helpful, polite and timely. Only downside we’ve experienced is it is very LOUD when dining inside which I know is a trend in many restaurants now but one I’m most definitely not a fan of. Not looking for silence but would like to be able to have a conversation without screaming. Have eaten outside before where it was quieter and will continue to do so going forward.

We came here for dinner during Restaurant Week. We were not disappointed at all. This is a wonderful place and the food was excellent. We had spring rolls and fried calamari for appetizers and they were delicious. My wife had the grilled salmon with rice and she thought it was delicious. I had the half-chicken with roasted potatoes and sautéed spinach. My dinner was equally delicious. This place would have gotten five stars from me except for some lapses in service. Diners who were seated near us received a basket of bread immediately, but we had to ask for bread for us. Our server, who was overall very good, never came to our table asking if we wanted freshly ground pepper, as she did to tables all around us. If it weren’t for these behaviors by our server, I would have given the Gray Goose five stars.

This is actually more of a 3.5 star review, but I’m giving them 4 stars because they have one of the best brunch menus in Fairfield. Ok, let me start by saying that I live roughly 15 minutes away from this restaurant. After we ordered, I would’ve had enough time to drive back home, let my dog out, and drive back to the restaurant with just enough time to see my meal being delivered to the table. The restaurant was busy, but far from packed so I’m not sure what the reason was for the wait. Ok so once the food is delivered, all previous gripes can be instantly forgiven if the food quality meets or exceeds expectations. My brunch date got the cornflake French toast which was out of the world. I, however, ordered the lobster eggs Benedict. The eggs were severely overcooked and there was very little hollandaise sauce. Very disappointing. Oh, and my mimosa was just under $ 10… Which is nuts.

Horrible dinners. Had the crab meat stuffed filet special. Tasted extremely bitter is the only way to say it. My wife had the swordfish and there was no flavor to it. New chef? Total disaster and don’t plan on going back soon.

Oh, Gray Goose, you never disappoint. You never wow me, but you never disappoint. The food is fine, if a bit over-priced, but we’re not there for the food. It’s all about the show. No, not the live music — the people watching. Grab a seat at the bar and enjoy this rare glimpse into the mating rituals of the middle-aged Connecticut Preppy. Bottle-blond divorced cougars in Lily Pulitzer and their male counterparts, slightly paunchy with thinning hair but dressed to impress in Brooks Brothers and Vineyard Vines. Bonus — the bartenders are great.

I came here on a Tuesday evening around 7 and sat at the bar. Service was very good. The bartender(dark hair, tattooed) was super busy but still attentive. The Greek salad was delicious(a huge portion), the beer ice cold. The 3 star rating is for the noise level and the crowd. As a Manhattanite I’m accustomed to noise but I am not used to men literally screaming as they are talking to each other. I felt like I was caught in the middle of a «who can talk the loudest» contest. The crowd is older(40’s-50’s) suburban, LOUD, and obnoxious. Maybe this place is better for lunch if you care about hearing yourself think.

My review isn’t on the food, which I thought was very good, but on the service. After being served my meal, I was never checked on. I had the manager and server walk by me and never stopped to ask how things were. My meal was good, I could have used extra sauce but nobody came by. My wine glass was empty the entire meal and I gave up trying to flag someone down to get another one. After my meal was finished, napkin on my plate, I must have waited 15 minutes to have my plate cleared while the staff walked by me every minute. At the time, the restaurant wasn’t full and I feel like there was at least 30 seconds to check in on my meal.

Great food. Had the coconut shrimp appetizer which was very flavorful. My brother and I split the fish special and the shrimp pasta. Both dishes were very well cooked and had lots of flavor. We had the chocolate lava cake with ice cream for dessert and it was just the right amount of rich and sweet to end the meal! The service was good too. The food came out in decent timing. The ambiance is nice. Ofcourse the food is a bit on the pricer end but this is Southport so it should be expected. The price to food quality is worth it. Def give this place a try!

Excellent atmosphere, service and above all else, food. Everything on the menu is great, they have the best appetizers in the area: get the filet tips, spring rolls and shrimp and calamari. High quality ingredients, simple and well executed. The best place in Westport or Fairfield to get drinks.

Remind me NEVER to have coffee at the Grey Goose! I asked for decaf, but it is 2:30AM. It surely wasn’t decaf!

Great food and great service! The Gray Goose had lots of fresh, vegetarian and seafood options(which is perfect for a Catholic on a Friday during Lent. My group and I shared some small plates: Crispy vegetarian spring rolls — perfectly crunchy served with a flavorful Thai sweet chili dipping sauce Szechuan shrimp and calamari — my favorite part of the meal! Tangy, sweet and delicious. Burrata — extremely smooth and light with a nice balsamic drizzle and roasted peppers I then had the ahi tuna taco which comes deconstructed for your assembly preferences. Could have used a little more flavor I found it to be somewhat bland but the wasabi lemon yogurt sauce gave it some nice heat. Finished with a cappuccino that was adorable served with rock candy for sugar!

Went during restaurant week, twice! I’m a big fan of their miso salmon– LOVE it! The coconut rice has actual coconut shavings in it and lightly tastes of coconut its great! The miso reduction is light but flavorful. Bok choy gives the dish the little crunch it needs. The burrata is very tasty– the procsuitto and roasted peppers compliment the dish well but dont overpower the texture. The french toast is really a treat! The 3 different filling flavors are all great and unique. My husband enjoyed his steak and eggs– he’s a sucker for poached eggs. Its a big piece of meat and hardy dish overall! Inside can get a little loud with the bar area and dining area not having any divisional walls but service is friendly and efficient.

I come here quite often for lunch since it’s just about 2 mins drive from work. A big fan of their rigatoni, grilled salmon with coconut rice, and also their salads are really good. My fave is the fried calamari salad. Even lunch portions are huge! Def share. They also have a full bar inside. Ambience is quite nice as well. Service is good. Really nothing to complain about. They also have parking on the outside. Huge selection of sandwich as well. I personally like to come here for lunch over dinner. Tho I’ve been here many times already! Never gets old.
