Shook’s Tree Service and Removal

There was a huge tree straddling the property line of our home and the home next door. After my husband spoke with the other property owner, we agreed that the tree needed to come down and would split the cost ⁵⁰⁄₅₀.
My husband knew Shook through work and he had done some previous work for him before so he asked Shook for a bid. His bid came in the lowest and in the end, we were extremely happy with this work.
He arrived on time and had all of his equipment ready. One mistake and it could have caused severe damage to either home or fence dividing the homes. He brought one assistant and they both worked extremely hard. Safety and methodical thinking enabled them to complete the job the right way. The tree was so huge with branches sweeping both homes that the project took 8 – 9 hours. He only took one break for lunch (and hauling debris) and then a quick moment to call his wife to share he would be a little later than expected.
I was impressed with his knowledge regarding the best way to dissect and surgically remove this tree without causing any harm. Our neighborhood got quite a show and he didn’t disappoint.
He’s not the fastest person on the job; however, in this particular job, speed is not what was needed. It was experience and the right judgment call to get the job done. I would recommend him to anyone and would gladly use his service again.
