Worst service ever! Our waiter did not come back one time. Almost 2 full hours for the full unacceptable experience. I even had to go to the bar to get my own refill of iced tea, asked for another cup of ice and the waitress set the glass down next to the iced tea.(for me to fill it). No apologies, no «sorry the food is taking so long» by the way, it was cold when we got it. No concessions until we told them we weren’t paying for the sandwich(BLT) with BLACK bacon. I’m so disappointed.

It’s not worthy of a star. We waited over an hour to get our food. Our waiter went incognito and we had to pour our own iced teas. The four kids we have with us were the best part of the meal.

David’s Grill is the restaurant at the Red Hawk Golf Course. It’s open in the summer 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I was here for lunch to meet the wife of one of my boss’s. I’d never been way out here north of Sparks before … this is a ways out. Parking was easy, I found a spot right in front. There’s parking just for the restaurant, separate from golf parking. I meet my lunch partner inside. We get a nice seat by the windows. Our cute young server is well rehearsed in her greetings. Wine was around $ 9.00 a glass and we had 2. I saw crab cakes on the menu, and you know me, I just love crab cakes, so I thought that would be good to share … nothing like bonding over wine and crab cakes! One order of the Boardwalk Crab Cakes, please.($ 12.00) For entrees I had the ½ pound Patty Melt served with fries($ 11.00) and my friend had the Fish and Chips($ 13.00) served with coleslaw and fries. Our server is proficient, but lacks a bit of personality projection, but she got the job done. The crab cakes come out plated so beautifully, my partner understands me taking pics! The tasty morsels of fried goodness taste as good as they looked. It was a nice balance of crab to spices, no skimping on the crab with these! This was a nice ice breaker to share as my friend agreed. It quite a relaxed and elegant at the same time ambiance in here, As we converse, our food arrives. My Patty Melt looks cooked just as ordered(med) and comes with a nice amount of fried. The rye bread is crisped just right, though the bread itself could have been a little coarser grained for that extra texture. My boss’s wife’s fish and chips came out looking nice with 4 good fried pieces of fish flanked by a stack of fries and a large ramekin of coleslaw. The fish was good, but she thought the coleslaw was not to her liking. I’d say my Patty Melt was one of the better one’s I’ve had. David’s Grill, looks like one of the more well attended golf course restaurants I’ve been to. Some just look deserted and I wonder how they stay in business, but here at David’s there’s doesn’t seem to be any shortage of business. I’m not sure I’d drive all the way out here from South Reno just to eat here, but if you’re out this way, it’s a fine pace to have lunch.

Excellent Food! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. We frequent Davids often and we have yet to have bad food or bad service. The Pork Chop is so delicious. For dessert we usually have the Bread Pudding– yummy!

I live in the neighborhood and come here all the time. Whether it’s breakfast lunch dinner or just drinks, I’ve never been disappointed. Also, their special events such as Christmas, New Years, and Valentine’s Day dinners are well worth it.

Several years ago, we enjoyed visits to David’s at Redhawk. Over the last few years, we have been disappointed with each visit, whether it be a full dinner or just appetizer and drinks. We’ve given it several chances over the last two years, but after today’s visit, we won’t be back due to the lack of customer service and low quality meals at inflated prices. Our watery margarita at happy hour was a whopping $ 12! Our happy hour nachos arrived with unmelted bagged cheese that was cold. It’s just a thumbnail of the lack of quality we’ve received over the last couple of years. It’s disappointing because it used to be much better and was really fun! We are sad to lose a date night option out where we live. :(

David’s Grill offers a nice food selection, a full bar, nice environment, and views of the golf course right from your table. We’ve had a number of selections from their menu, mostly breakfast items, and all have been well prepared and very tasty. Recently though, we discovered the Chorizo Burger. Why did it take me so long to find this gem?!? Yum! On this visit, we reserved the«Mayor’s Room». This is a private room that comfortably seats eight and costs nothing to reserve. A neat little room for a private party, or in our case, a business meeting complete with food and drinks. The only reason they don’t get the fifth star is that their service can be a little slow at times.

Haven’t had a bad meal here yet but the service is hit or miss. On occasion it’s been bad so I didn’t give 5 stars. The most recent visit was for breakfast. They offer up to half off Monday through Friday from 8 am to 11 am. That’s a great deal in my opinion. My husband and I had Chicken Fried Steak which was really good. The steak was tender and not completely smothered in country gravy. We asked for a carafe of coffee since they are usually slow on the coffee refills. The service this day was good.

David’s Grill has all the makings for an excellent venue; on a golf course, beautiful patio, little competition, great fireplace, great menu, it should have all us Wingfield/Spanish Springs folk rolling in and out. I keep trying, and will keep on, but there is something missing. From being seated, to giving order, to receiving drinks, then food, then check, there is a disjoint, something is not connecting. I realized this weekend, the employees are not happy, and I think that perhaps if Management were to dig deep and fix this, everything else would mesh together, making this venue become a Favorite, a Home, to many locals.

Granted we are with a big party… but I’ve never spit my food out at the table. The Mahi is obviously packed and shipped frozen and tonight was cooked to a piece of rubber. We had to go to the bar to order drinks after 20 minutes of no drink waiter. The replacement mushroom ravioli was barely edible. Never coming back.

Davids grill is literally within walking distance of our house. There is ample parking and on some days valet parking. There is seating both inside and out. The inside seating is quite comfortable with a fireplace and several tv’s. There is also a seperate room which is the bar. If you can swing it and it is not to cold or windy, sit outside on the patio. The view is beautiful, you see golfers finishing up on the 18th hole. Just being outside is wonderful, and the patio area has alot of shade. My wife and I sat on the patio, there was a slight breeze, it felt really good. I ordered a combo personal pizza with extra crispy crust. The pizza was delivered within 15 minutes and it looked great. The combo has salami, pepperoni, olives, onions mozzarella and grated parmesan. My first bite was made with such excitement that this may be the pizza. But as i chewed i realized something was missing. Where is the pizza sauce. It was there but you could hardly taste it. The rest of the pizza was fantastic. We will be back and i will try something different. UPDATE. I was just contacted by Davids and asked to change my review. Apparently the peppermill and western village do not own Davids, even though one of there employees told me different.

We ate here after our day of golf(I’m reserving my golf review until after we play again on Friday). They have a very large menu with pretty much something for everyone from kids meals to salmon and steak. The prices were reasonable and service was quick and polite. The food: Mushroom ravioli was rather ordinary and the sauce turned out more like a brown gravy than a mushroom ravioli type sauce. Lasagne was enough to feed a small army! Lots and lots of pasta noodles but lacking in the meats and cheese department. Topped with two types of sauce(a red and a white) it was kinda bland and a bit on the salty side. Blackend blue burger was so salty it was inedible. My son tried his darnedest to stomach it but he started to wither like a slug being tortured in the summer time by a couple of kids. He then had the opportunity to try to finish my lasagne and I think he may be on blood pressure meds for awhile. I will say the steamed clams were super yummy but only served with two small slices of a baguette so you couldn’t really enjoy the broth. Chances are you’re eating here out of convenience, due to its location on the golf course, so make the best of it! The bartenders were super friendly and make great drinks :)

David’s Grill is a nice lil place at the Redhawk Golf Course. The food is generally good however the Sunday Buffet is miserable. My wife and I tried the buffet when it first opened. We got there around 10:00AM and found very little food available for the buffet. My wife ended up ordering from the menu but I opted for the buffet. The buffet features eggs, potatoes, bacon and sausage along with french toast and fruit. There were only a few pieces of bacon available and the eggs were very watery… So so experience. Along about a month and a half later we decided to give it a second try. We thought that maybe they were having an off day with the new buffet, so we decided to give it a second try. Well there was food this time, but it was old and stale. I grabbed two pieces of french toast to give them a try and had a hard time cutting them with a knife… I could not eat the french toast it was too tough. The bacon, eggs and sausage had all been setting there and once again the eggs were watery. For their asking price of $ 13.95, the buffet is a bust. I would opt to order from their menu rather than trying the buffet. If you’re set on a buffet, I would go somewhere else.

We went there for the breakfast buffet this morning. We seated ourselves because no one greeted us. The buffet had 6 heated containers of food. Eggs-scrambled, tasted good Fried potatoes-hard and burnt French toast– hard as a rock, in edible Cottage cheese pastry thing-not too bad… Sausage– Bacon– I wasn’t brave enough to try the meat Fruit-8 grapes, 4 slices of melon Buffet was $ 14 a person. It was awful! We walked up to the cashier to pay. I asked her how long the food had been sitting there. She said«A few hours». I told her I could tell it had been sitting there. It was clearly old and tasted terrible. She said«Ok, I will tell them» as the proceeded to charge us! I can’t believe she took our money for that disgusting«food». Never going back there again. Not even an apology…

I’ve been here a couple of times now, and I’m obsessed with the outdoor patio. There’s just something to sitting outside on a warm summer night eating an amazing meal and looking out on to the beautiful golf course. The food is always spot on. I highly recommenced the baked brie. YUM! The artichoke appetizer is amazing too, brown sugar butter to dip it in, so perfect. Be sure to sit outside it’s the best.

This is my favorite local spot right now. It’s super close and convenient, has super welcoming friendly staff and a good menu. It’s really nice to have a meal on the patio in the summer and how do you not love a place that has a happy hour 7 days a week from 4:30 –6:40. I would’ve given a good rating for the convenience, ambiance and staff but the food is really good too. I love the fish tacos with a vodka cran for happy hour and the veggie omelet for breakfast. Whether you’re outside on the patio with a view or inside watching a game at the bar, you’re gonna enjoy some good food, stiff drinks and fun company.

David’s has been a place that always falls off the radar for me even though it is in my general vicinity. I have eaten here many times over the past 10 – 15 years and watched it go through many changes. Some good some bad. I was here a couple of weeks ago on a Thursday night and it was pretty decent. The service was friendly enough but not really speedy or efficient. We had a few different people serving our food, taking drink orders and bringing the check so it was somewhat confusing and lackluster for the prices that are charged. It isn’t a very expensive place but pricey enough to expect great and friendly service. The food was fantastic. We had the steak skewers with blue cheese and string fries. They were amazing. So so good. We also had the steamed artichoke with brown butter and hummus. Loved having hummus with the artichoke. It made a nice impression and was a nice surprise. We split the turkey sandwich with fries. The sandwich was really good. Lots of meat and the fries were crispy and tasty. Overall the experience was pretty good. I will definitely come back in the hopes that the service has improved. The ambience is awesome and eating outside in the summer time is pretty amazing.

Not sensitive to allergies. Both plates came out with what i said not to put on. Waiter blamed the cooks and said sorry and shrugged it off. She only came back to drop the check. She did apologize, no manager came or was notified. Waited 1 hr and 15 for food. It was Mothers Day so i understand. But the place was 60% occupancy and most were eating the buffet and not ordering individual dishes. Nice scenery. Really pretty area, good weather that day. We sat outside on the patio. 1 star is for the scenery and the location. Bad customer service doesn’t make me want to try this place again.
