It’s Saturday night, around 11 or so, and I stroll over to check out the scene. I heard there was a band playing or maybe a DJ so I was pretty stoked. I walked in from Paddy’s and it was a bit disappointing. For a new, fresh looking bar it was pretty dead. Maybe a dozen people there having cocktails, DJ music playing in the back. It was brightly lit which lends to a feeling that last call was just made. Felt like a Tuesday night, not a Saturday. It’s got a cool theme but for whatever reason it’s not packing the house on a Saturday. I’m hoping it becomes the place to go on Victorian and not because of that new car smell it still has. Justin has the sound system for bands to play, it’s clean, I just wish there was more of an allure. Maybe next time?

I like how clean it is. The updated décor is good for this bars setting. The staff is quiet nice, I like the drink specials too. They are good for large groups too(sometimes we stop in with our Movie group before a movie in Sparks.) great little place for sure.

The updated décor is amazing, classic and stylish. They get some great bands, no more of the all-age punk style music, thank goodness. Drinks are made expertly, and the owner and staff are friendly, hard working and accommodating. Mummers is definitely the best new night spot in Reno/Sparks!

Best prices on drinks downtown Sparks. Actually some of the best prices in all of Reno/Sparks. Very friendly, fun, fast bartenders. Very spacious, such a huge improvement from the previous venue. Very clean and such an amazing draft beer selection.

We live about 2 miles from this spot and used to frequent it often. We planned on being out late and enjoying a few drinks so a cab was in order. Went in last night on Sat about 7:30 and didn’t expect it to be too busy yet and we were right. I did enjoy the updated décor, but the lighting is a little to bright for a bar. There were about 9 people at the first section of bar and 4 at the second including us. We sat about 15 min, watching 3 people behind the main bar who didn’t once make it down to acknowledge patrons at the other end. A simple«I’ll be right with you» would have kept us in there a little longer. Left without a drink and headed to Oskis. I’ll give it another try in a few weeks.

What a relief to have a place open and really show some pride in thier place. Very clean, well lit and fun. I swore I would never be back. The last owners were such thieving dirt bagsit’s. It really nice to see good decent people come in and clean it up. Im sure I be receiving visiting this place again when the show start rolling in..

These guys have been open just one week and a day as of today. They have yet to settle completely into what they will become. They’re starting out right though. I stopped in out of curiosity while I was browsing the new 39 Marketplace Farmers Market event in downtown Sparks. They are located in the space formerly known as The Alley next to Paddy and Irene’s and they’ve really cleaned the place up. The new cleaned up and updated bar, new hardwood style flooring and lighting really helped. They’re got a new cool sign and new nice T-Shirts. The branding looks great. The owners plan to have up to 3 live music events a week. Mostly weekends to start. They plan to incorporate some jazz, country, rock etc etc. into the live music plans. This is great for Sparks! I just ordered a glass of wine but they told me they’re planning on doing some great beers on tap, lots of bar drinks, Moscow mules, and shot specials are planned etc as they acquire more equipment, tools and glassware. They opened quickly to beat the 39 North marketplace opening. Service was excellent. Everyone at the bar checked on me often. They were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. Bonus ! I saw at least 10 people I know there and got caught up with some old friends(I did go to high school just about a mile away) Oh and Happy hour is from 3 – 6
