Already knew I love their pizza and hate their politics, but I had no idea where the beer would fall on that spectrum. Took a sampler flight with their hefe, pale, single-hop(cascade), IPA, Imperial, and brown. They were all drinkable, my favorite being the imperial. They call it a «big boy,» probably because of the abv, but it wasn’t really a mouthful, and I thought the flavors were better than the others. The hefe was oddly citrusy, considering it wasn’t served with lemon. My spouse, who loves Bavarian brews, didn’t even finish a pint. Don’t know if it’s the new location or the shift(Sunday night), but I don’t think we had the varsity cook or wait staff. There were only a few tables taken when we arrived, but you’d have thought it was packed to hear the server talk about how hard it would be to get anything done.

Crappiest service on the face of the planet!!! Located in the heart of the red light district, we Walked in, didn’t get acknowledged that we even were alive. Had to seat ourselves and we’re denied any service after waiting for 15 minutes. So, we walked out and weren’t even missed. They will be out of business in a year. GOODRIDDINS!!!

Great atmosphere! The service was awesome, and I went on a busy Friday night. Pizza and the beer was great. The cook messed up on our order and without me saying a word the server brought another pizza out on the house. That is how you stay in business and receive great reviews. Keep up the great work Bennidito’s!

I’m not a big fan of doughy pizza, so it’s hard to find a decent pizza place. Until now, their pizza is on point! The crust is thin, light, and crusty. Perfect blend of toppings calls for deliciousness. Beer is brewed on-site. I ordered the checkerboard, which was recommended by staff based on my description of what I like in a beer. Amber color and not too hoppy, but doesn’t taste like water. I also tried the tin roof, which staff told me it might be too hoppy. Lesson learned, good beer but was too hoppy for me. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars, was that I couldn’t taste the Parmesan. Don’t get me wrong, there was Parmesan cheese on the bread, just not enough for my liking.

The food here is outstanding. From the cheesy, fluffy beer buddies with homemade pesto ranch dressing to dip into, to the unique salads and the tasty pizzas with perfect crust. great experience all around. Customer service was beyond expectations. I’m already looking forward to the next visit!

Cool décor and friendly staff. The menu and food were just as good as their other location. Great beer. I hope the location picks up and people utilize a good central spot.

They have a rotating selection of guest taps and brew many different styles of beer. Pizza by the slice is a nice option if you are solo. A pint of beer and a slice is 8 $, very reasonable. Service has always been good and the cook is fast! The pizza is always good here. The only reason I didn’t give it five starts is because the neighborhood is still bad. When there are sketchy people standing on the sidewalk looking at your car its a little weird(im sure this will improve with time). *note, I don’t like generalizing that area as ‘red light’, but it still is a little at night* … With all that said, I wouldn’t be scared to come back or suggest others to try it. Thanks!

I live close and I’ve been here probably 20 times since opening. Nice large dining room, 12 chair bar, and super cozy outdoor eating area.(No smoking). 80s music rocking most days. Staff has been mostly the same folks since opening and they are always friendly and timely. The beer is brewed in house. Also offered are some great guest taps. I love the Tin Roof IPA. Pizza is their specialty, quite delicious, and offered in over 20 varieties. I also love the salads… yum. Antipasto is my favorite. Thanks for the great food and service!!!

We have loved all the Bennidito restaurants since they have opened on the northside and lower south hill. We were especially excited because the brew pub is close to our house. We again were not disappointed with the service or with the food. They have a great lunch deal of slice of pizza, salad and drink that is satisfying. The restaurant itself is really cool, as it has an industrial feel. Great beer selection. Laid back feel and all around a great place to pick up some pizza. Will will keep frequenting this wonderful place. I just wish that it had delivery!

Walking in is like saying hello to an old friend. Yep they managed to create mostly the same look and feel of their south hill location that i’ve been going to for years. The Checkerboard Pale was very solid as well as the IPA. The other beers will come along eventually i’m sure. Had the Italian Club sandwich which was really good and for a half was plenty of food. Good to see another decent dining spot not directly downtown. Edit: 3÷2÷2016 After visiting a few times I felt the need to update this and knock a couple stars off. The service just keeps getting worse. Mostly its just one employee. She is extremely forgetful, lazy, and curses like a sailor in front of my family. The old food and dirt in between the slats on the tables is unacceptable. The beers are all over the board with consistency. Usually whatever is NEW is better than what else is on tap and all the«flag ships» have major flaws. I really hope they pull they get it together. I probably won’t be returning for food or with my family or maybe at all

We should have gone somewhere else for Grandmas birthday party with the little kids. The pizzas were acceptable, but I thought not as good as Benniditos on Lincoln. The anti-pasto salad was good but had no lettuce in it! And way alot of roasted garlic that had quite a few that were over cooked and bitter. The little kids got counted as being a regular diner and since there were 6 adults and 2 small kids we had to automatically pay 20% tip. There was only 1 server, and a few people in there, but she didn’t bring 1 beer that got ordered and never refilled our water the entire time. Probably a good place but not for us that night.

Good ice cold nitro on tap, great pizza and a good atmosphere– what more can put ask for? If you don’t want to travel all the way to the South Hill the new Sprague location is perfect!

The new Bennedito’s brew pub is a great new venture for the south hill pizza joint. I grew up on their pizza. I used buy it by the slice when I was a kid in the summer. The brew pub does not deviate from the original pizza at all. There are two reasons why I will choose this new location over the old one any day(despite the fact that I live a 10min walk from the original). The beer and the service. Their beer is very well done! I tried both IPAs and the checkerboard pale ale. The pale ale was so clean and had great citrus hop flavor without being bitter. The tin roof IPA was my second favorite and had a bit more back end bitterness. I have always been a little irritated with how there is one server for almost the entire restaurant at the original place and you always feel they rush things and don’t give you enough attention. Not at the brew pub! We had great service here! The new location is bigger and better. The interior is very open and spacious. It isn’t super classy but compared to the surrounding neighborhood it’s the Taj Mahal. I would absolutely recommend everybody try the new place. Big improvement!

As others have said, the pizza really is just perfect: fresh, crusty but not tough, thin but not too thin. Perfect! Great menu and definitely affordable. They have a deal for(I think $ 7) for a slice, salad and soda. The service was great too. Even the pizza baker man asked us on our way out to have a good evening and seemed sincere and made eye contact. Really sweet! Here’s the Big Butt: they are obviously planning to attract a 20-something crowd. I was here with my 80yr old parents. About 75% of the seating is bar stools with tall tables. All the normal height seating was taken. My parents were able to scramble into the bar stools but I was a little worried. And the music… Super loud and some kind of thrash metal. So my only caution is if you have kids too young(or old!) to sit on a bar stool or don’t want to listen to head banging music maybe get your pizza to-go or go to their south hill location. Me? I’ll be back, especially for the slice/salad/soda deal!!!

Great open space, same delicious food. Although, I drive by the Southhill location several times a day, I’ll probably go outta my way to this location and enjoy the ample parking and lack of familiar faces.
