I really like the atmosphere and healthy food options here. It’s nice to support one of the few vegan/vegetarian places in Spokane. Everything tastes so great, even non-vegans like myself can order with confidence and truly enjoy their food. Coffees, teas and baked goods are also fantastic!

Stepping into Boots is like stepping through a portal into Portland, OR. This is «pick your food then pick your spot» kind of a place. The décor and furniture are colorful and eclectic with lights made out of hanging blenders and other kitchen items. Their pumpkin waffle(which happens to be vegan and gluten free) is probably the best pumpkin waffle I’ve EVER eaten. And breakfast/brunch food is my specialty! Their German potato salad is also exceptional. Unfortunately some of the items don’t quite hit the mark. I’ve been vegan for years and several of the dishes certainly need to be tinkered with or removed from the menu. But all in all this is a rad place to have coffee, a bite to eat, and hang out with a good book or a group of friends. I frequent it often.:)

nice place, good coffee, relaxed atmosphere. Sunday is best day to go, no parking meters to pay at only 13 minutes per 25 cents, if u can find parking. there is a lot that is about $ 4 …Veggie, gluten free I believe… nice people, good coffee, good service

I am a middle aged meat eater. That being said, I would recommend this place to anyone. Even more, if I lived in the area, I would be a regular. I ate breakfast there two days in a row. I was staying at a nearby hotel, and spending 18 for a depressing brunch seemed insane. I walked over to Boots and was impressed. I had their Alison breakfast one morning, and their hash and waffle the next. Everything was great. In addition, they have cold brew coffee on tap, and great looking bakery goods. The people their are nice, and the service is quick.

The food is fantastic, many options, fun atmosphere, and great staff. Every time I have gone here I have been able to get something that meets my dietary restrictions and it is delicious, The staff treats you like a friend. Parking is on the street or paid lots and Saturday has great brunch options, you can also get gift cards. I was afraid to try some of the items because they are a little bit eclectic but I am so glad I did, everything is good… so take the chance, you will not be disappointed! One thing to consider is that items may contain nutritional yeast, if this is something you are sensitive to, mention it and ask for their recommendations. Everything is pretty clearly labeled in the case so you know which items to start considering.

this place tries so hard to be hip it hurts. their food is vegan so if you’re about that trend/can afford it. the coffee and food is alright, they microwave the food if you want it heated. there’s also a bar here but they don’t open late.

I’ve spent a few bday breakfasts here, because come on… Mimosas and V/GF waffles = my definition of perfection. One year the owner found a candle for my V/GF carrot cake muffin, so thoughtful! I just love the combo of V/GF baked goodies, coffee, and liquor! The only thing that would make this place better to me, is less tofu and more meat:) But then it wouldn’t be Boots! You are perfect just the way you are!

Cute lil place in downtown Spokane! I absolutely love the décor — really cute and inviting and feels like home. Love the baby blue color of the place. If you only eat veggies, then this is the place for you! Vegan AND(mostly) gluten-free. They have bomb savory food but I have yet to try their baked goods. Get the waffle — but make sure you’re ready to treat yo self cause this bad boy is $ 7. Super big tho so definitely worth it. I usually hate pumpkin anything but this waffle was heavenly. Drinks are OK(I wished they used a different brand of earl grey tea) no drink menu so you better know what you’re getting… Other than that, I love this place!

Great place for breakfast or morning coffee. Such a light and airy atmosphere in the mornings. The baristas make great espresso. The breakfast items are delicious — waffles were yummy. Most of the stuff we ate we did not notice it was vegan or gluten free — it was all full of flavor and filled us up. Highly recommend!

My favorite place in town, hands down. Everything is delicious but the tofu scramble, sausage hash, power greens salad always find their way on to my plate. Allison’s carrot cake cupcakes are down right amazing!

Love this place. Such a great atmosphere. Their pumpkin waffles with chai butter are so delicious, plus they serve amazing coffee and espresso. Their mac n cheese is also so, so, so yummy. I’d recommend Boots to everyone, vegan or not. :-)

Super cool atmosphere, delicious food, excellent coffee. They have vegan options, which actually kind of turns me off until someone forces you to try some and then you be like DAOMMM that is tasty.

They make perfect breves – not too sweet! We also tried an Earl Grey tea and lemon bar that was both gluten free and vegan. Yum! The décor is awesome, and I loved the little porch in the front, as well the turquoise color of the front of the building! Very welcoming and quaint. We were just going in for coffee this time, but we’ll be back to try other things!

Boots Bakery & Lounge has soul. Sunlight wafts through a giant banana leaf plant. The patina of the tables and the character laden details throughout the space always surprise me. Big tables in the back for groups and small booths in the front for intimate conversations. Stools up against the front windows and a year round outdoor patio out front. It is truly a third space where you get a home away from home. Boots is at it’s best as a quiet, unique atmosphere for working or hanging. They also have food — I know I can stay for hours and get a good breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, and/or adult bevs. Vegan and Gluten Free options galore without skimping on flavor. Free refills of drip coffee and great wifi connectivity makes this a favorite for digital workers and students alike. Main issue is parking as it is downtown so be prepared to pay in the lot or street or just take your bike(Bike parking out front).

Left my hotel in search of french toast at 9 am(noon for my east coast body). Walked two blocks until I saw the giant letters in downtown Spokane, blocks from the convention center: C O FF EE Didn’t expect this vegan surprise. PB/J vegan bar isn’t soooooooo bad, in fact, it’s amazing. The pb is the best part, could have used a little more jelly but the organic coffee helped out. There’s definitely a cult following as so many people know each other here. I would come back here if somebody said vegan sweets can’t be good. My brother-in-law would go googoo over this place and then try to go recreate the sweets… just like I might.

This place is everything. Everything you need. Nothing you don’t. After moving from la to Spokane, I was worried I wouldn’t find anything resembling the prohibition era vibe that downtown Los Angeles has become. boots is every bit of hipster but not obsessive and intrusive. «Do you» is the vibe here. Come study. Come chill. Fall in love, whatever. Just do it.

Boots Bakery, as you probably already know, is likely the most happening breakfast spot in Spokane, and for good reason! The staff is incredibly friendly, the brightly sun lit dining area is sunny and inviting, and their food is downright delicious. I love the local brews they have on their drip coffee and oh my gosh their pumpkin waffles are to die for. I’m here at least once a week on Thursdays for their songwriters workshop The Song Project which meets at 7:30 and if I ever manage to get up early enough you might be able to find me at #SpoCT, the coffee tweet-up event every Friday morning at 8am. Make Boots a must if you’re visiting and if you’re a resident, make sure you schedule a rejuvinating morning here with an old friend and catch up.

I’ve always been a sucker for a girl in boots … especially when Boots is a vegan café and bar. These Boots are made for vegans and that’s just who they’ll serve. One of these days these Boots are gonna serve all of you. Are you ready Boots? … Start servin’! As I strutted into Boots Bakery humming Nancy Sinatra’s 1966 classic like I was wearing go-go boots and a flower print, it was pretty clear why this local«Bakery slash Coffee Shop slash Bar» is downtown Spokane’s hippest hangout for vegans and cowgirls. Coffee and Cocktails never tasted this healthy before thanks to Boots Bakery & Lounge’s daily offerings of totally Vegan food like Salads or Entrees, and Vegan treats like Cookies, Muffins, and Cupcakes. A friendly flower child met me at the counter and recommended two of the pre-made pasta salads for a vegetarian lunch quickie. Her bohemian ways won me over … cause for one meal on one day in Spokane … I was a happy ‘n healthy hippie. * Chipotle Corn Pasta(Vegan & Gluten Free) * Macaroni & Cheese(Vegan & Gluten Free) * Latte with Soy Milk I don’t know when I’ll be in Spokane again, but when I do I’ll be knockin’ Boots vegan style for a healthy reboot at Boots Bakery & Lounge & Coffee Shop & Bar & WiFi Café. Are you ready Boots? … Start servin’!

Not too busy at 11:00AM midweek. Stopped in to meet an acquaintance to take care of some business. I had never gone in beyond the front display cases on previous visits. Found it to be very warm and inviting, with the the use of natural wood furnishings. The super high ceiling offsets the long, narrow dining space. I like the creative use of blender pitchers as the glass shades for the hanging pendant lights over the bar area. Read the many other great Unilocal reviews for spot on descriptions of the ambience and service to be found here. As hubby had his sights set for lunch at another spot, I left with just a couple of delish gluten free, vegan No-Bake cookies. A 12 ounce hot mocha made from local Indaba roast house’s Guatamala Juan Pira completed my purchases today. I will be back!
