I have visited BOTH sides of this shop multiple times and it is hands down the best in town. Joe doesn’t just make coffee– he knows start to finish how to craft whatever you want to drink. He is adventurous and always has something new to try as he is always learning and finding the next best thing for his customers. You will not be disappointed with the coffee, ever. Elly and Anna on the beauty side are so incredibly talented and knowledgeable in skin care. I have had terrible skin for 20 years and have tried everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING to get rid of acne, scarring, etc. Elly and Anna have helped me dial in my skin, find a great make up routine that works, showed me how to fill in and shape my brows, everything from start to finish. Their facials are soothing and relaxing. You will NEVER feel ashamed or embarrassed from either of these gals(unlike some of the higher end boutiques in town). Your skin will feel so healthy after a few minutes in their chair AND you can afford to do it more than once every 5 years(and they regularly have deals on groupon!). Can’t recommend the WHOLE shop enough.

Spokane: A great revisit 01-08-2016 I dont often have a chance to leisurely visit this neck of downtown Spokane but I owed this inviting latte shop a visit. I was in a very conservative mode when I originally visited many moons ago. Although Joe wasn’t in, the smiling barista there was just as friendly and welcoming. I liked that they were still using Spokane’s Roast House beans and the two shots in my 20 oz mocha latte were bold and not too sweet. A great drink to take and go. Nitro coffee is now offered, something to try next time as have not had any locally. Have not availed myself of Elly’s beauty services, but then I don’t anywhere. A few extra steps into and up Annie’s Bookstore’s grand staircase is well worth the effort for warm, friendly service at very reasonable prices. Just one note to myself for a future visit: to request that my drink be not more 150°F so that it’s more than just warm but is sippable.

What a concept! brother and sister working side by side in seemingly unrelated ventures. As I gain more years, I also grow more unsightly hairs working down from my eyebrows and onto to my eyelids. Elly quickly and painlessly removed the strays while not overly shaping my man brows. Just the strays please! I was delighted by her expertise. While there I also imbibed in the latest coffee phenom, nito. drawn from a tap much like beer, I was served a strong, flavor packed cup of coffee with a real kick. This is the real deal. Coffee not for the faint of heart. It is served«black» or «latte» style. I chose the black and it was delicious. After leaving with my cup, a passerby saw me drinking the coffee and thought it was a beer. I would encourage any lover of good coffee or just plain Beauty to give them a try.

This place is awesome. Elly really knows her stuff and will tailor skincare to meet whatever needs you might have. She will make your brows fabulous and as my daughter always says«on point»(she gets compliments daily at school about how amazing her brows are). Not only that, you can have an amazing cup of coffee while you get pampered. What could be better?

The coffee here is the literally the best I have had in Spokane. Joe always makes it consistent and the price is reasonable. Elly is a sweetheart and does amazing facials and loves to educate her clients about skincare and product. A great place to go on our lunch break if you work downtown for some pampering and pick me up!

Even though it’s nowhere near where we live Beautiful Grounds has become our favorite coffee shop(haven’t tried the beauty side yet). My 13yo son shares my love for coffee and we’ve tried a lot of local shops all around town. For anyone who understands the quality jump from Starbucks to The Rockwood, you’ll want a cup from Beautiful Grounds. Besides getting great coffee and cold-brew nitro(an awesome and innovative way to make cold coffee) I’ve been impressed with their customer service. In between filling orders, Joe has answered my son’s questions about coffee, from how it’s roasted and brewed to how to be a discerning coffee connoisseur. He really knows his stuff. This is our destination coffee stop in downtown Spokane and well worth the trip every time. Bonus that it’s on the mezzanine above Auntie’s bookstore.

Read the Inlander article about the nitro coffee, and was so excited to try it that we stopped by on our way to the airport from Coeur d’Alene. It was disappointing to arrive half and hour after they were supposedly open(according to Google and the hours posted on their entrance) and find that they were closed. Cool idea, hopefully the next time we make it out to Spokane they’ll be open.
