Café Mac was the cutest lunch spot! It’s located inside the Northwest Museum of Art & Culture. Great Mediterranean food with the BEST hummus! Adorable décor and friendly staff. Take an extra long lunch and visit the museum while you’re there! Museum costs $ 10/adult & $ 5/child and they have half price on Tuesdays!

Café Mac is a hidden gem inside the Museum of Arts and Culture in the Browne’s Addition neighborhood. It is just to the west of downtown(definitely walking distance from the main hotels). It boasts a phenomenal view with towering windows and is bathed in light even in the chilly winter months. I like to come here to read or meet up with a friend for a nice lunch. It is a peaceful, simple little café with an exotic, artsy bent. ***Victor makes an incredible basil hummus. Delish!

I couldn’t find it and had to call for directions. Didn’t realize this little café was located inside the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture, aka«the MAC». Lol! That’s why is was named«Café Mac by Victor, geezzz. There is a wonderful selection of vegetarian and Mediterranean dishes. My lunch selection was the«Jadra», a warmed rice and lentil pilaf served over a fresh, mixed greens salad. An eighth cup of house made jalapeño hummus accompanied the dish. I came here for a light but nutritious meal and Café Mac met my needs. The tasty pilaf was tender but not mushy, the greens crispy. The hummus had real kick to it. A very satisfying meal. I would return to try other dishes when in the area. Free parking in the museum’s lot. No fee to enter for dining in the café. Victor’s Hummus is available at the café as well as in the natural foods section of Yoke’s Markets. I had the pleasure of meeting Victor as he answered the Café’s phone each of the two times I called, once to double check hours and the second to verify location. A very pleasant gentleman!

Café Mac is one of those romantic little spots with an amazing view that is a well-kept secret. The lighting is fabulous. The feng shui is right. The light wood paneling and huge windows make this an all year favorite. In winter though, especially when you want to see the sun, without the cold, this is one of the best places to go. Now, on to the food! What a genius Victor is for thinking of the Chocolate Hum-mousse! So rich, it’s more of a hummus ganache than mousse. he’s always cooking up something interesting and fresh. The customer service is out of this world, as you can see from the other reviews.

I have never been so in love with salad before now. Who knew that warm lentils atop a bed of lettuce with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and olives could taste so delicious? And the real kicker? No dressing. I didn’t even notice the lack of the usual fatty sauce that so many salads are dressed in because this plate of produce was so delectable you really don’t need any. Amazing. But it doesn’t stop there. I also sampled several of Victor’s hummus dips. Fajita, basil, curry coconut and kalamata olive… to name a few. I think I could have eaten them plain by the spoonful. Oh wait. I did. And to finish it off, chocolate hummus. Yes, that’s right. CHOCOLATE. And it’s hummus. It blew my mind. Hats off to Victor and his café(and his hummus). I will be back and I’m bringing friends. This is about to become our new lunch spot.

Amazing hummus! I grew up in Spokane and every time I visit, I stop in to wee Victor an get some of his famous hummus. The basil is my favorite. The hummus has a rich and creamy consistency that is hard to match and pops with flavor. Great salads too. The view from the MAC is fantastic.
