Very nice local food restaurant. King salmon special and perennial shrimp and grits were both good. Hush puppies were perfect. Good tap selection. Excellent pecan pie. Friendly efficient wait staff.

Came in tonight with my friend and tried a little selection of food. Honestly everything we ordered was amazing, we had hush puppies, Mac n cheese & meatloaf. Mm mm… Simply delicious. Our server was really polite and helpful, plus our food and drinks were out quickly so that was great. Let’s just say they are doing southern food the right way at this place and I was loving every bite of it!

Jambalaya was very tasty, good spice. Loved the boudin… Hush puppies were meh! Table of 8, we enjoyed everything about this place.

Amazing. No news here — the décor and vibe here is warm and inviting. The food is complex, comforting, and creative. I had the shrimp and grits and I couldn’t think of a better dish! Great service. I’ll be coming back. Many, many times.

I’ve been here a couple times over the past few years. The food has always been great, except our most recent visit. Our his puppies seemed overly charred, and the chicken our waiter suggested was a little under cooked and bland. I let him know and he was more than willing to help, but the salad I got instead was prepared improperly. It seemed like almost every other table was having issues with their food that night so possibly some issues with the kitchen? It’s hard to say. I can say though the service has never been very good. The staff seems like they are too busy to help and don’t really do much more than the minimum which makes me wonder if they are just stretched too thin? But even on a slow day I’ve still had the same subpar service. It’s crazy to believe that Casper Fry is sisters with other restaurants in Spokane. We frequent Durkins and have always had exceptional service and food.

Nice looking venue. My husband and I ordered Shrimp and grits. It was fair. Not a fan of all the vegetables on it. Maybe used as a filler as there was only 3 shrimp on it. The sauce was average tasting. Not very complex. Guessing just a broth and hot sauce? The egg on top was a bit«sunny» for my liking. My daughters burger was good but the french fries serving was small. The Bloody Mary was well done though. I would defiantly order that again. Service was slow.

I went here with my friend who has eaten here. The place almost looked closed from the outside, because the lights were dimmed low, but it has a cool industrial look to it. I heard it used to be a general store back in the day. We sat ourselves, and it took a minute for the waitress to say hello. When she did, she was really sweet and informative about our drinks and food. The small plates were plenty! The skillet mac n cheese was amazing. Spicy n sweet shrimp, amazing! Be sure to get some house hot sauce! The pork belly was pretty good, but not sure about that sunny side egg on it. They’re super informative on beers and wines of your choice, def coming back again!

Oh how we’ve fallen. We’ve been coming here since the opening and always loved. It’s been a while so we came in for brunch. I had the brisket, grits and eggs. The brisket tasted like it came out of the fridge, very bland. My wife had the pork belly, home fries and maple bacon. The best thing we had was the maple bacon and the drinks. You can’t get complacent, the food has to rock every time. Needless to say we have a few brunch places that allow us to cross this one off the list.

Best night ever at Casper Fry! We came here for restaurant week and had a great experience. The Blackened Catfish was perfectly cooked and properly blackened, not just coated in «blackening spice» like everyplace else seems to do. My wife had the barley risotto and it was full of flavor. Topped it off with the Blood Orange crème brûlée. Fantastic.

Parisian negroni, buttermilk fried chicken, pork belly, cast iron Mac n cheese — all so yummy!!! Skip the hush puppies — go for seconds on the negroni’s — especially if they can add Bordeaux cherries to them. Yum!!!

My boyfriend and I went to brunch on Sunday and it was fabulous!!! The house mimosas were sweet and delicious and the food was AWESOME!!! I had the Veggie Scramble w/out the hollandaise but with bacon, a biscuit instead of toast and some pancakes on the side. OMG! The veggies were perfectly cooked and the bacon was so meaty and cooked just right! The pancakes were thick and the biscuit was spot on!!! My BF ordered the Fried Chicken Biscuit w/pancakes on the side and he agreed that everything was cooked perfectly and tasted AWESOME!!! Our server was super friendly and didn’t rush us at all. I can’t wait to come back again — absolutely LOVED this brunch!!!

One experience; Flank steak was great. Meat was cooked as ordered, the glaze was delicious. Meat appeared to be good quality. Mac and Cheese was great. Caesar salad had a hint of anchovy(?). The jambalaya was hot. Spicy hot. Now, I’m not too scared of hot things but this could have been the spiciest food I’ve ever had at a restaurant. To the point I think and may have accidentally spilled the spice on it. When I told the waitress that it was way too hot, she did not offer to remake or refunded for it. I did eat about 20% of the dish so I kind of understand. Although, the fact that she knew we were not happy with dish and did not put forth any effort to resolve it, it kind of put a damper on the experience. We also felt pushed out of there fairly quick. We planned on ordering more drinks and having dessert but the waitress just brought our bill over and walked away. We took the hint and walked across the street for some beers. We dropped well over $ 100 during the experience. That’s with a couple drinks. The atmosphere was good. The chairs stood out as being very squeaky. We could hear squeaking from every occupied chair in the place. It was actually quite comical. The food was good enough to ride probably go back again. Although it’s not necessarily top notch.

I had the burger with no cheese. It was one of the only lactose free options on the menu and the bun still had some milk in it. The burger was extremely thick, overcooked, and bland. I was hoping for a flavorful sauce on the burger to make it stand out. The service was slow and the atmosphere was quiet and somewhat awkward. My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday afternoon and there was only 1 other table filled in the restaurant. However, I will probably be returning just for the garlic fries. They were some of the best fries I have ever had!!! Definitely not worth the $ 14 or so I spent on the burger + fries but it would be worth it to go in with friends for fries and drinks.

Favorite restaurant in Spokane. The ambiance is great! Plenty of room for a big party. Dinning room was kept clean and restrooms as well. Food was dynomite! I asked for a drink refferal and was told to order an old fashion. Was not disappointed. I’ll be back soon.

This has been a interesting place to discover. If you’ve never been here then you should definitely check it out. It’s a good place to bring a group of friends or just explore on your own. I really want to see this restaurant succeed just because it’s got such a cool vibe on the inside. I’m giving it four stars because it seems like the times that I’ve been here the service has been questionable and not very spectacular.

My friend stacey took me for lunch — can’t remember the connection but a friend of a friend works there. First the place is gorgeous — very well thought out — we spent so much of our time there picking out fine details that were just so creative and aesthetically pleasing. As stacey had been before she suggested we split a burger and I’m glad we did because if we hadn’t I wouldn’t have tried the mac and cheese which was out of this world. I only had a few spoonfuls as i felt it was very important to devour my friend with FRESH garlic and a dipping I would have bought a bottle of if it was available. Dill aioli I believe. Does anyone know the recipe? I bet it’s a more carefully guarded secret than mcd’s special sauce! ;-) Anyway it was all amazing. I went in craving a salad — but went out so happy I had had a burger and fries. Did I mention the fresh garlic on the fries? Two days later and I still smell like garlic. Small sacrifices! PS spokane if you are out there please listen! It was pretty quiet in there for a lunch hour so I NEED you to start hanging out here so it’s still open when I am back to visit again!!!

A really great friend of ours told us about this place. He had some really good things to say about it. So, hubby and I decided to dine here for our Anniversary. First of all, we were pleased to know that they use locally sourced products, such as organic produce and meats. We easilly found parking. We were the first ones there and it quickly filled up. The décor was rustic with a modern twist, which we loved. Everyone there was very nice, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere there was chill and very happy. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and hubby got a burger. We also got the pecan pie for dessert which was to die for!!! LOVEDIT!!! Everything was freshly made, so delicious!!! The prices very reasonable for the quality of food. You won’t be disappointed!

I visit Casper Fry almost every time I am in Spokane. Their shrimp and grits may be my favorite meal ever… Their cocktails are largely whiskey based, but everyone can find something they are looking for.

Human error happens. It’s just bad timing this visit, being my first. Had just completed a shopping spree at the South Perry Farmer’s Market across the street and wanted to take home a little enhancement for a quick dinner at home. Not on the menu but they willingly accommodated my request for just two pieces of fried chicken breast to go, $ 18.00 for both. It took almost twenty minutes. I also had asked order taker Jeremy to see that my order was wrapped well as I was almost an hour away from home. When it was presented, by who I later found was the night manager, I had to ask for a bag for my little brown to go box. Fifteen minutes later, I sought a bite after filling my gas tank. It was a major dismay to discover that there was only one piece of chicken in the box! My immediate call to Casper Fry resulted in a prompt adjustment and an apology by night manager Shelayna for the kitchen staff misunderstanding. It was so disappointing, as I was looking forward to trying their southern fried chicken. I did have a bite off of hubby’s piece. Very moist, nicely seasoned, bordering on touch too salt. I was in such a rush to get our late dinner served that I forgot to get a picture. Unilocal reviews for their food have been overwhelmingly positive so maybe someday, I’ll give them another try.
