I love the atmosphere at Lindemans. I’ve been here a few times and it’s a nice place to read while sipping tea, but the food is WAY overpriced. It’s all pre-made(in house, but still) displayed in a deli case and they just reheat things in the microwave. I spent $ 10 on a SINGLE piece of quiche that was overheated which ruined the taste and texture. So I had to get a coffee to wash it down, for another $ 4.50. So I spent $ 15 on a microwave lunch and an okay cup of coffee. Not impressed.

Lindaman’s is like your hip auntie Linda who wears a lot of funky glass jewelry, brings her decadent dessert to Thanksgiving, and always makes sure you feel at home on her charming patio. They consistently nail the salad trios, the basil juleps, and the desserts. My only negative is sometimes the case entrée’s aren’t thoroughly warmed to my liking but they always make it right. Cheers to their super friendly bartender! You’ve made my day multiple times here. Thanks!

So far, I’ve never missed a day coming to this place since I arrived Sunday the 23rd of this month, lots of quickie good food choices, the comfy ambiance and very friendly and welcoming sales associates, esp. Brei who happens to be my favorite one.

With as close as I live, I ought to visit this place more frequently. They have never done me wrong. I must admit that I typically only get coffee here so I cannot speak for their food, though it looks good. As for the coffee, without fail I always receive a perfectly poured cappuccino. Which apparently is no small feat. I won’t take that for granted. The ambience is comfy and relaxing whether sitting inside or outside. It makes for a nice place to read, get some work done, or catch up with a friend. Lindamann’s is also conveniently located close to the hospital if you find yourself needing to break away from the cafeteria, etc.

Lindaman’s is a great local place to eat. A variety of options and salads to choose from. My favorite is the twice baked potatoes and the romaine salad. It’s a bit pricey but worth it.

We are new to Spokane & were encouraged to grab some take out from this place. We chose the Mac & Cheese, Meatballs, & Caesar salad. So so good!

Just today I needed a quick and well prepared meal — Lindaman’s is a great place for that — plus I see half the neighborhood there. Thai coconut soup tasty!

Had a great case of pretty legit looking good, including actual honest-to-goodness vegetables! But the hot chocolate was gorgeous and insanely good. It smelled like haven in chocolate form. Awesome way to ward off the Spokane winter blues.

I was feeling a bit blue on this grey day, so I popped into Lindamans for a quick coffee. I had THEBEST traditional macchiato. It was so smooth, such a perfect pull of espresso, a tiny cuppa happiness.

I love flavor. Nothing saddens me more about a dining experience than having weak flavor. There was a TON of flavor packed I to what I had at lindaman’s. Also, this was my first time here. I finally decided to go after my mom had told me about this place multiple times(she went 20 years ago and still remembers how good it was). I had Three salads and a dessert/brownie bar. And a San Pelegrino which cost me $ 2.50. But. Let’s talk about those salads: The Caesar salad: the dressing wasn’t as tangy and garlicky as I would’ve liked, but the flavor was still great and there was some yummy feta cheese and delicious home made croutons. Tasty! But only 7 out of 10 yums. The Greek orzo pasta salad: yum. Very flavorful! And there were plentiful crunchy veggies and kalamata olives. So. Good. I rate this mega tasty. The chicken apple curry salad: such a great curry flavor. It has crisp green apples in it as well as walnuts and raisins. VERYYUMMY. I also got a brownie bar which was extremely rich. Which I love. Now my beef: Pricing for the salads is by the pound, and I didn’t seem to understand how much I was spending. I got one decent-sized scoop each salad. And when I paid I was shocked when the gal told me my total was $ 26… I’ve worked in a deli setting before, which is what this is. She knew it was just for me, and didn’t tell me about the 3 salads for $ 11 special I could have gotten… I would have stopped the customer and explained the deal, especially as it climbed to $ 24. Suddenly it was just like boom. You’ve spent $ 26 bucks on effing salad. Delicious salad, mind you but… Come on. I was just like o shit this best be some tasty-ass salad or I’m going to be very sad. Yeah yeah it was my responsibility to fully understand the pricing etc. but I dunno. It kind of threw a wrench in my experience. The food was good but not $ 26-bucks-for-three-salads-and-a-brownie good. I might go back, But probably not. Overall it just felt hoity toity and overpriced.

After eating at this restaurant I was enamored with the meal I just had and I decided to check in on Unilocal.I noticed that this gourmet, delicious restaurant had quite poor reviews on Unilocal.I noticed that while many people loved the place, most of the poor reviews mentioned that the place was expensive. I noticed the same thing on Amazon, where I would read reviews stating something like, ‘this LED lamp has multiple settings, a bulb that lasts 15 years, puts out beautiful light, charges your iPhone and has great speakers, but who can afford a lamp at this price! THREESTARS.’ I don’t eat out much, but when I am traveling I usually look for the most expensive restaurant because you are going to get top-notch chefs and a beautiful experience. Expensive restaurants are better, expensive wines are usually better. If you can’t afford it, don’t go there and by all means don’t give it bad reviews. Some of us want to pay for a fine restaurant experience. Alright I’ll step off my soapbox. The chocolate mocha dessert was literally the best dessert of any kind I have had in years. The wild mushroom ravioli was deliciously rich and confidently accentuated the wild mushrooms inside. The staff was friendly. The ambience of the place wasn’t anything amazing but the food was a treat.

If you like to eat poorly prepared food, drink weak coffee and watered-down cocktails in an uncomfortable ambiance filled with unattractive people, Lindaman’s is NOT the place for you. I started coming here a month or two ago when the local French club was meeting here. I was disappointed when they changed venues to Rocket Market due to what they claimed to be distracting noise levels.(They are an older crowd in large part comprised of many old people who do not hear well and need quietness to struggle through French, so this is not a reflection of the common man’s experience.) Currently, the demographics here are: 13 women and two guys, including me. Now two more guys walked in with a women, so still a quality crowd. I think that such a mix of people adds greatly to the aesthetic and ambiance of the place. The mint juleps are glorious! The coffee divine! I have tried many desserts. They are ample and help motivate my gym habit. Others seem happily pleased with their savory dishes, although I have yet to try anything as I have yet to find myself here at mealtime. Many people find Lindaman’s a nice place to work. I am going to try that now…

Dropped in here last week for a quick lunch with a friend and colleague. The place was hopping! Luckily, I did score us a great spot in the corner. This is an order-at-the-counter from their display of quiches, salads and a few pasta dishes kind of place. That’s perfect if you don’t have the time for a sit-down and order from a menu lunch. I picked out their chicken pot pie and it did not disappoint. Flaky crust. Great flavor. Vegetables were on the crisp side which I love. No sogginess here. Came with a modest side salad. They also serve wine, beer and espresso. It’s a beautiful, airy location with high ceilings and lots of natural light. Bonus: They also offer pie. And you can order whole ones to go. Oh yes…

Do you enjoy spending an insane amount of money for a mediocre lunch? Yeah, me neither. Nice décor, deserts are good, but my god is this place ridiculously expensive. Thirty-five bucks for lunch for two and it wasn’t even that great. I think it exists only to part South Hill socialites from their money.

Very nice presentation. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed. I would liked to have seen a lower price point for what I got. I will be back to try the coffee.

Stopped by for a carryout lunch today. Hadn’t been for two or three years. OUCH. Prices are way up, but the food still looked familiar — I remember why I stopped going, not much variety. Not likely to be heading back soon.

Lindaman’s has two of my favorites. By far my favorite Barista and coffee! And the best cakes. So yummy. Try the carrot cake.

I used to live in Spokane and still visit family there regularly. Lindaman’s has always been a stand-by place. On a recent trip, though, I had pause for thought: would I rave about any restaurant with pre-prepared food and where absolutely nothing was made to order? Probably not. Lindaman’s, after all, isn’t much more than a nice space containing what amounts to an upscale grocery store’s prepared foods case. It’s an interesting concept. Food wasn’t heated through thoroughly. Asparagus in my lasagna was very tough and stringy. Can’t comment on the coffee everyone raves about. A-okay for what it is … but there’s better food to be had around the area.

This is a South Hill institution. The coffee is excellent, the service is friendly. It is too bad they don’t have more gluten free options. This is definitely NOT the place you should go if you’re not in the mood to run into everyone you know in Spokane.

Lindaman’s opened in 1984 as primarily a take-out place and turned into a beloved restaurant. This culinary delight is located in the Cathedral district near the stunning Manito Park. It’s a gourmet bistro which is deli style, meaning you pick and choose from the case, which you’ll find an extensive menu of unique salads, pasta dishes, casseroles, stuffed chicken breasts, fresh grilled fish, and exquisite desserts, which are all prepared daily in the open kitchen. Everything is fresh and made completely from scratch and they specialize in catering. I like it here, especially on the patio. The décor is upscale, but not pretentious and has an artistic feel. I always think«Someday, I’ll order something different» and then get the traditional Salad Trio. With the Salad Trio, you choose 3 salads from the case for $ 8.95. I almost always get the ASIANCHICKENSALAD(nappa cabbage, almonds, sesame seeds, green onion, sweet soy dressing) But today, instead adding the traditional the PEASALAD and the TEXASTABBOULEH, I felt daring. I went with the GREEKORZOSALAD(kalamatas, tomato, green pepper, feta, cucumber, lemon-garlic-mint dressing) and the MAC N CHEESEPASTASALAD(sour cream, buttermilk, romano cheese, garlic, grn onion, fresh spinach). It was so good. Oh Uh. Next time, I have choices to make. Lindaman’s pours our favorite doma coffee and has to-die-for desserts and there’s wine and cocktails, meaning you can start and end your day there.
